Someone claimed election result of Osogbo LG was tied to the back of a tortoise for onward transmission to INEC collation HQ in same Osogbo hence the late announcement. cheesy

And when APC realized they can't pull the 2015 kano presidential style election bogus result on Osun indigenes the party in connivance with INEC opted for inconclusive election.

APC and electoral fraud are like Siamese twins.

Celebrities / Re: Nigerian Feminists Slam DJ Cuppy Over Her Comments On Their Movement by DozieInc(m): 7:46pm On Aug 30, 2018
nextstep:
People can make noise up and down, but please remember that women like Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, Oyinkansola Abayomi, Margaret Ekpo, Aba Women (from the Riots of 1929), Adunni Oluwole, Buchi Emecheta, Ngozi Iwere, Therese Nweke, Chikwenye Okonjo Ogunyemi, Ifeyinwa Iweriebor, Altine Muhammed, Nema Ngur, Ladi Olorunyomi, Maryam Babangida, Ayesha Imam, Amina J. Mohammed, and so many more have fought for the liberation of women, and for women's rights for nearly a century - yet none of these women would call themselves "Feminist". In fact they deliberately eschewed this appellation in response to "limitations of the second-wave feminism movement in regards to the history and experiences of black women, and other women of marginalized groups."[1]

I know some of these great women personally, and I grew up learning from them in the 80s when they'd hold meetings in my mother's house (Women In Nigeria, specifically). Refusing to be called "feminists", these women are responsible for universal adult suffrage (right to vote), women in the modern workplace, education of the girl child, decrease in the prevalence of female genital mutilation, programs like Better Life for Rural Women, and many other socio-cultural changes in Nigeria that we all benefit from now.

The notion that you have to be labeled "Feminist" to fight for women rights has been disproved times without number. So for a woman like Florence Otedola (DJ Cuppy) to declare she's not a feminist - while she is doing all she can to break glass ceilings, alter perceptions about women, and take control of her future, while opening doors for many other women... that's not a contradiction at all. She is really a continuation of women in Nigeria who have done the same from pre- colonial days, and I find the backlash from so-called "feminists" - who ironically can be quite hypocritical when it comes to backbiting and drawing back a fellow-woman - amusing, but sadly misinformed.

LordAdam:
Your highness please make it clear.

Restructure the damn country!

Everyone knows of the wealth of Switzerland. They have no President. Instead they have a federal council of 7 elected officials, all of whom have equal political power. One of them becomes the chief of state or substantive head (President) with no extra powers for one year. Another member of the federal council replaces him after one year. No second-term nonsense.

This is a country that's barely twice the size of Lagos, yet has 26 Cantons that are semi-independent of each other. Each canton has its own constitution, legislature, executive, police, courts, income tax. Same Switzerland has 4 official languages--German, French, Italian, and Romansh. Geneva is French. Uri is German. Ticino is Italian. Their smallest canton is about the size of the city of Oshogbo.

We just keep burying our heads in the sand and wonder why nothing is working. Come together, discuss our union, restructure the country to a model that'd work for us. No two European countries are exactly alike. Norway and Sweden are kingdoms. Luxembourg is a Duchy. Liechtenstein and Monaco are Principalities. Netherlands and Spain have figureheads as monarchs. Italy and Germany are parliamentary republics. France runs a semi-presidential system.

Why can't Nigeria run its own system that takes our peculiarities into account? Why will a country of 200m people let selfish id**ts take them for a ride?

Well said sir

We know the current admin is working on a lot of projects in the SE including the 2nd NB that the PDP you followed for 16 years didn't bother to start and complete, but you are yet to ask yourself the same question

Why not ask yourself or even show yourself the projects the PDP started and completed in the SE less than 3 years from 1999-2003 and even within the 16 years they spent in office.

If you are going to ask silly questions, do it with a little common sense and intelligence.

You don't need any excuse to keep following the PDP, just keep following, self-destruction is your societal character anyways.

.

The current administration is a national disaster... which Niger bridge??, the one seen only in pictures?, maybe the projects are too big to be seen or They are spiritual projects.
They say questions exposes deception... you are just spewing the usual lies.

I know you are working really hard to defend your pay masters... but that shouldn't excuse stupidity.

Give Igbos and Nigerians one legitimate reason to re-elect Buhari.

How would voting Buhar in 2019 ensure Igbo presidency in 2023?
Politics / Re: "The Truth About Igbo Presidency: Senator Saraki Playing On Our Intelligence" by DozieInc(m): 12:27am On Aug 26, 2018
How would voting APC in 2019 guarantee Igbo presidency in 2023??

What has the APC government done to include Igbos?

What major project has been completed or started in the SE since 2015??

Has the Buhari administration been beneficial to the Igbos?

Does Tinubu harbour a personal ambition for 2023?

Honestly, the Buhari administration so far has confirmed the suspicions of most Igbos -he is not a nationalist and is a nepotic.
He seems too outdated to govern a complex and diverse country as Nigeria, his administration has failed woefully to deliver on his campaign promises.
The regions that voted massively for him (SW and The middle belt) have their fair share of disappointment in this administration.

Anyone that talks of voting Buhari come 2019 is either selfish and wicked or ignorant.

Tinubu will rather Nigeria goes through another 4 years of deterioration just to achieve his ambition in 2023? Now that's very cold and calculated.

Saraki is ambitious and pursuing his interests but he seems to align his interest to the greater good.

There is no way another 4years of Buhari is in the interest of Nigeria. Buhari, is ill, clueless and incompetent!
