The town called WASE where this Fulani Rep comes from and which he bears as surname started as a small Fulani resting point giving to them by the natives, the military regimes came to power and appointed a Fulani Emir to preside over the town including its natives. If only people in the Middle Belt saw what Igbos have been warning them about they wouldnt have been in this situation, but like the Yoruba Muslims in Ilorin they trusted the Fulani jihadists and accepted them as 'brothers'. Sardauna made this statement out of the palpable fear of the Fulanis that Igbos see through their agenda and will stop them in 1959, but the Middle Belters were too myopic and rather joined forces with the Fulanis to kill Igbos with foreign military support. The popularity of Ayo Fayose remains unmatched in Ekiti State which is transcending to his Deputy who is the PDP Governorship contestant. Ekiti people are known to be warriors and they love STRONG leaders like the Arabs which is not found in the polished but subservient Fayemi. Some of Fayemis supporters who are afraid that he might lose are now resorting to self help with hope of using coersion to secure victory at the polls and unfortunately the FG will do little to stop them at this time while Fayose will be hounded after he loses his immunity on completion of his tenure. 5 Likes 1 Share |
