I'm not a fan of Trump, but I don't see what good this does. Half the country wanted Trump do why alienate them? If Trump does something like this they'll say he's divisive but isn't this divisive? When I see things like this I just marvel at how people don't still understand why Trump won. Things like this don't affect Trump negatively, it helps him maintain his base and the neutrals who simply want to give him a chance to perform as president. We've seen how the NFL ratings went down since the players decided to take a knee, now the NFL is considering telling it's players to stand for the anthem. Threatening Trump supporters that are his fans doesn't help. Trump supporters can only be brought to the other side through debate and logic, not through insults and threats. Eminem is alienating half of America and basically guaranteeing that they'll vote Trump again in 2020. |
Guestlander:The American economy is doing very well, and the stock market is at an all time high. Illegal immigration is at historic lows and almost a million jobs have been created since he took office. Not necessarily a Trump supporter, but I'm not a Trump hater either. You Trump haters and his supporters let your emotions cloud your judgement. While there's a lot Trump has to improve on, majorly his character, he's not doing as badly as painted. He's already fulfilled a number of his promises although he's never building a wall and Obamacare will never be repealed, but that's majorly due to the Republican senators. |
schwarzkopf:http://www.dailywire.com/news/12146/11-biggest-problems-obamacare-aaron-bandler. Just read that article on the problems with Obamacare. Government run healthcare has its own peculiar set of problems, and Bernie Sanders single payer health care option is going to do nothing but increase the 20 trillion dollar debt the US finds itself in. There's nothing like free healthcare, you'll pay for it somehow and the government practically has your life in its hands. It can decide to ration spending on you, or decide not to treat you at all. Health insurance is very complicated but if you want the government to run your healthcare at least think about the disadvantages of it. |
schwarzkopf:Sixty senators must vote to close a filibuster bro. Just read about it on Google. You need 60 Senate votes. The current Republican Bill still keeps most of Obama care, and millions of people are already without health coverage because of Obama care. Obamacare already has serious problems with higher premiums for middle class workers. It got more expensive rather than more affordable. Some months back a couple in New York commited suicide because they couldn't afford their health premiums under Obamacare and they were in serious debt. Obamacare is not as perfect as you think. |
schwarzkopf:The U.S. Congress — the legislative branch of the federal government of the United States — develops and passes legislation, which the president signs into law, and federal agencies (executive branch) implement legislation. Copied from migrationpolicy.org. Whatever Trump's intentions are, congress is required to pass laws on immigration. Unless you want to argue with the US constitution. Secondly, it's been proven time and time again that Iran is a sponsor of terrorism. Iran is not a moderate country, as proven by the various Human Rights abuses that occur in the country. How moderate are the "death to America " and "death to Israel" chants? There's nothing uninformed and naive about calling Iran a sponsor of terrorism. Iran may comply with the terms of the nuclear deal for now, but what comes of it in the long run? Bill Clinton trusted North Korea and the long run it went to crap. The fact is that whatever prosperity Iran gains from the deal could be used to sponsor more terrorism in the future. And that's a best case scenario. Worst case scenario is that a future leader of Iran decides to build more nuclear weapons, just like it happened with North Korea. History always has a way of repeating itself. Time will tell. |
schwarzkopf:They need 60 votes to repeal Obama care and there are just 52 republicans in the Senate. No democrat will vote for any of the Republican health care bills so their hands are tied. Most of the health care bills the Republicans have been proposing actually keep most of Obama care. Besides republican senators like John McCain and Rand Paul have promised to vote against the Republican Bill, and that just makes things difficult. I think Obama care will stay for a long time. |
schwarzkopf:Actually Obama passed DACA wrongly. The president is not the one to create laws on immigration, it's the job of the Senate. It's in the American constitution. What Trump is simply doing is telling Congress to do their jobs and he gave them six months to do it. There's really no big deal in this. Trump did nothing wrong here and if anything goes wrong, congress should be blamed and not Trump. Are you sure Angela merkel is calling for a deal with North Korea? Because in 1993 Bill Clinton signed a nuclear deal with North Korea giving us similar promises like Obama did with the Iran deal. I'm sure you know how that turned out. The Iran nuclear deal will eventually come back to bite the US, because Iran will eventually destabilize the Middle East in the future because of it. Whatever Iran gains from it will be used to sponsor terrorism, and there's the possibility of them getting nuclear weapons in the future. |
In other words, Nnamdi Kanu is going to be arrested for exercising freedom of speech. I don't like the guy or his ideas, but he has the right to say whatever he wants. Arresting him is disgraceful. |
cescky:His inferiority complex is not the subject of this discussion. He had vitiligo and bleached his skin white. Nobody is talking about his nose or hair. Everyone in the Jackson family did a nose job. |
Fabulocity:His autopsy report showed he had vitiligo. Unless you still want to argue with the doctors that did his autopsy. |
ivolt:Google project veritas and watch the videos of what CNN producers were saying behind the scenes. Two of them said that the Trump Russia stories were a "nothingburger" and they were pushing it to increase ratings. It's on video on YouTube, just type project veritas. Now explain to me why anyone should trust CNN after their producers are admitting to lying to push ratings. This has absolutely nothing to do with Trump. Not a Trump supporter. |
ivolt:I never ever quoted Trump. And did you ever See me tell you that I took Trump's tweets as facts? I was talking about CNN, I never ever mentioned Trump once. Read this article about CNN's rating. https://www.google.com.ng/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.dailywire.com/news/18181/just-how-badly-cnn-collapsing-look-these-numbers-james-barrett&ved=0ahUKEwj7z5-Yq97VAhXqLsAKHfp_CsUQFgghMAA&usg=AFQjCNGnz5nx9iQoV39iY_H9knQYsYHBXg |
ivolt:There's evidence. I posted it to you and you refused to accept it. And yes I understand you saying that most of the things they report on are true, but even conspiracy theorists have that kind of record. Where do we draw the line? Alex Jones is a conspiracy theorist with infowars and has a huge following despite his conspiracies, because they later on turn out to be true most of the time. But I can't cite Alex Jones to be a credible source, because even though most of his claims turn out to be true, a lot of them are baseless and untrue. Are we going to give Alex Jones the same treatment that we give CNN because most of his stories turn out to be true? You mentioned Fox News and yes they have retracted several stories even this year, but they haven't done it nearly as much as CNN. Fox News is still the most watched news station in America along with msnbc. They still have public trust. CNN is losing viewers as we speak. If a news station reports stories that are true even 81 per cent of the time, they are not trustworthy, because 1 in 5 of every news story they release is false. So if I'm listening to them today, I can't be confident that they are saying the truth. If CNN is now having the same news standard with Alex Jones, then CNN has fallen badly and their ratings show it. People want to trust you, and it's OK to make a mistake once in a while, but when you're doing it over and over again within the past six months, surely you can't blame people for losing trust in you. If you disagree that's fine, but I believe that people who don't trust CNN have good reasons not to. That's my opinion. |
ivolt:I fully understand you. I understand left wing media bias, everyone is biased. I also understand that false reporting can be inevitable. Where I have a problem is when the false reporting is seemingly deliberate, and has happened again and again over a short period of time. How many stupid things have CNN done this year alone? Too many. MSNBC, ABC, NBC and CNN are all biased to the left, but CNN are the only one that have been blatantly lying over and over again this year. Would people continue to patronize you if they discover that you've been lying severally? CNNs reporting got out of hand, and they are the only left wing station that fully deserve the name "fake news" |
tianshie:I just called Trump an idiot and you called me a Trump apologist. This is a problem I have with people. It's possible to defend people you don't like. And it's possible to put your feelings aside and make rational arguments. Trump is embarrassing. Plain and simple. I blame the Republican Party for his rise, dropping values because of winning. He insults people of all races and genders in the most disgusting way possible. He doesn't seem to know what he's doing on a lot of issues. He's incompetent. What I don't believe is that he's a racist. Like I said, I'm not with Trump on the whole taking jobs back from Mexico, because 85 per cent of manufacturing jobs are lost to machines, not Mexico. Criticizing a black man doesn't make you a racist, you can just use racism as your default setting when you see a white man criticizing a black man the same way a woman could insult me today and it doesn't mean she's sexist. And it's not new for a businessman to borrow money from banks to survive. Is it illegal? Finally, the fact that you think I'm a Trump apologist is the reason America is divided right now. Nobody wants to drop feelings and argue facts. And once you disagree with someone politically then the person must be evil. I think it's very immature. I despise Trump, but I have nothing against his supporters. They made their decision and some of them are good people. I get you, you're probably a liberal which is why you use the moral argument with the ICE, but it's not illegal for them to deport people. And those who voted for Trump didn't do so because of wickedness, some of them had good reasons to. Trump Vs Hillary was an impossible choice in my opinion, and you shouldnt demonize people who disagree with you |
ivolt:Just because everyone is doing it doesn't make it okay. So many have reported falsely, from Fox News to msnbc. However, CNN has done it too many times in a short period for people to ignore. Are you saying we should give them a free pass because everyone has done something bad before? |
ivolt:here's CNN's false reporting. Just a few examples in this article. https://www.google.com.ng/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://thefederalist.com/2017/06/29/cnns-latest-retraction-just-tip-fake-news-iceberg/&ved=0ahUKEwic2ube_93VAhXhAMAKHTvNBpkQFgg1MAU&usg=AFQjCNGWMYq_IPfYOdb9_NcAEfT4qG54iQ |
ivolt:CNN has been guilty of false reporting several times this year, I can cite examples of them to you. And it's been happening too often to ignore. CNN is a liberal news station so I understand their bias, what I don't understand is the blatant false reporting, stories that have no evidence and are untrue. Also most times, CNN doesn't retract the false reports. Here's CNN's ratings https://www.google.com.ng/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.dailywire.com/news/18181/just-how-badly-cnn-collapsing-look-these-numbers-james-barrett&ved=0ahUKEwjFkYS3_t3VAhUIElAKHeCpAWYQFgghMAA&usg=AFQjCNGnz5nx9iQoV39iY_H9knQYsYHBXg |
tianshie:Firstly, dont tell me that I'm acting bright by reading shit off the internet. I never said that to you and I feel that we are engaging in a reasonable debate. If you want to insult me then we can just end this right now. I'll tell you one way illegal immigrants burden the economy. Obama care. Universal healthcare covers illegal immigrants as well. When the government is also paying for their healthcare, then they're a burden already because universal healthcare is expensive to maintain . They also take food stamps. 1/3 of Hispanics voted Trump. When they were interviewed, they said they voted him because a lot of their competitors in their businesses were illegals, and they went through great pains to become legal immigrants, only for someone to come through the back door and compete with them. Don't you think they had a right to be worried? If both of us are competing for something and Im doing it illegitimately, would you be okay with it? Again, this is where I think Trump is an idiot, because 85 per cent of US manufacturing jobs were lost to machines, not Mexicans or China. I'm not a Trump supporter, just so you know. And Trump stupidly saying they are losing jobs to Mexico doesn't mean he's racist. Oh so because Trump was angry with a black man for resigning, he's now a racist? Trump has actually criticized the others for resigning too, and he has dissolved his manufacturing council. Oh so Trump has been bankrupt 6 times and he came out of bankruptcy every single time, so he should not be regarded as a successful businessman? You have no proof that Trump was hanging out with blacks because he wanted to look good to them. Can you show me your evidence? The ICE is in charge of deportations and so far they have not broken any laws in deporting illegals. What laws did they break? I would love to know. Again, stop with the moral justification narrative. Facts don't care about your feelings. If someone is an illegal immigrant, then he came into the country the wrong way. And please stop with the insults. |
Laid2001:No, hate speech is protected by the First Amendment. There's a Reason it's called freedom of speech. Speech includes all forms of speech including hate speech. The white nationalists have a right to speak, that's what makes it free speech. What becomes wrong is when you actually start rioting and beating people up and destroying public property. The white nationalists got a permit to protest from the state government and it was granted because it's their right. Antifa and black lives matter destroy public property and beat people up on the streets calling it "punch a nazi". When did it become okay to be violent? Do you support violence? Aren't there civilized and peaceful ways to protest? And on YouTube Trump has condemned white nationalists since the 90s long before he ever became a politician. Videos don't lie, it's on YouTube. Trump also condemned them several times during his campaign. It's also on YouTube. On Saturday he condemned violence on ALL sides, white supremacists, and Antifa. Every side has to be blamed, and violence should never be encouraged even against despicable racists. It's not okay to beat people up. When they go low, we go high. |
tianshie:Oga, racists don't hang out with blacks, successful or unsuccessful. Do you know what a racist means? And please don't even tell me Hispanics are a separate race, because it's simply not true. There are some of them with white skin, and others with black skin. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz have the same skin colour with Trump, and they are Hispanics. You called Trump a misogynist. His campaign Manager Kelly Ann Conway was a woman. Which misogynist would put something so important I'm the hands of a Woman? Don't dodge this question. Weren't there enough men for him to pick from? Trump was mostly celebrated by the American media, there were a few criticisms, but mostly praise. The young American was looking up to people like Trump. Barack Obama in his younger days said the American dream is to be Donald Trump. Trump has said so many disgusting things to white men too. He goes on insult rants against anyone in his way, no matter the color of skin or gender. Trump has even been a democrat all his life, and just became a republican two seconds ago and suddenly became a racist misogynistic bigot to the American media. When Trump says he's taking America back, he's talking as a populist who is against the globalist establishment which consists of both democrats and republicans. Open a book about politics and read about Nationalism. And please, they are called ILLEGAL immigrants. They broke the law, else it wouldn't be illegal anymore. And so far the illegal immigrants who have been deported have been the ones with a criminal record. Illegal immigrants are a burden to the economy, especially the ones who are criminals. There is no such thing as legitimate deportation of illegal immigrants. If you come into my house from my window and steal from my pot, I will kick you out. And it doesn't make me a wicked person. |
tianshie:and despite that the American mainstream media never called him a racist until after 30 years when he decided to run for president. Over the years we have seen Trump hang out with black people, from Michael Jackson and his family, to Snoop Dogg and now Omarosa, Kanye West, Ben Carson and Steve Harvey. Did his racism exempt them? What kind of racism is that? And about Mexicans, please I would like you to tell me when and how Mexico became a race, and how putting American citizens ahead of illegal immigrants or taking your country back from globalists, became a racist thing to do. |
ZianaJordana:A black lives matter member murdered 5 cops last year. The guy who did it confessed to being a member of BLM. The "WE WANT DEAD COPS " videos of black lives matter rioters are on YouTube. They kept chanting it until one of them decided to actually do it. The KKK has just 5000 members today, they barely have any power and influence. When last did the kkk do anything influential? These guys are hasbeens. And guess the party that started the KKK? Yep, the democrats. |
ZianaJordana:Would you readily use that logic for white supremacists? If it turns out that the guy who murdered the innocent woman was not a KKK member but a kkk supporter, would you remove blame from the KKK? The man who murdered those cops was a member of black lives matter, and black lives matter has been caught on tape and on videos chanting "WE WANT DEAD COPS". Someone who was a member decided after that chant, to kill 5 innocent police men and black lives matter shouldn't be blamed? Both must be condemned. Racist white supremacists, and racist members of black lives matter. Some members of black lives matter are racists who hate whites and use the platform of BLM to channel their hatred. Hatred must be stopped on BOTH sides, the left and the right. |
tianshie:Yes racism should not be tolerated, but we should not join people who call themselves Antifascists and yet use fascist tactics to shut down free speech. Yes, even the white supremacists have freedom of speech, and we should use our freedom of speech to condemn them. Antifa and black lives matter will go in there with masks and clubs to beat people up and you guys cheer them on. When did it become okay to cheer people who beat people up wearing masks? If you think I'm lying, go on YouTube and watch the videos. You see black lives matter chanting that they want dead cops and go beating up Trump supporters on the streets. Why don't you condemn them too? And about Trump being a racist, trump has continually condemned the kkk and white supremacists right from when he was a businessman. It's on YouTube, go watch the videos. He has been in the American public eye for decades and was hardly called a racist, until he decided to run for president as a republican. Liberals will call anybody they don't like a racist. |
ivolt:CNN have been guilty of false reporting this year and their ratings have been going down because of it. There are so many instances of this. Just do your research and you'll see. |
cescky:And is it OK for Antifa and black lives matter to beat people up even if they are racist? Does beating hateful people up make them less hateful? What happened to "when they go low we go high"? Blame exists on both sides. White supremacists are disgusting human beings and should be condemned, and Antifa and BLM should not assault people no matter how disgusting and racist they may be. |
Alright so let the OP answer this, since you have financial standards. Nobody stays at the same financial level in a capitalist society as people move up and down the financial ladder. What happens when your man in the process of moving down the financial ladder drops below your "financial standards"? What do you do then? |
osinbanjoisaliar:The Attorney General recommended that Trump fire him. Let's not forget the FBI director found Hillary Clinton "guilty of wrongdoing " but decided not to prosecute her. The guy needed to go and Trump fired him. |
Rayfield:In Turin? Juve's defence is three times stronger at home. |
This L is for all the pastor haters on Nairaland |
Funny people on this thread. Who told you that CU graduates are children of the rich? A lot of parents borrowed money to send their children to that school. Some of them don't have the connections you think they have. Learn to argue with facts. A lot of people just hate the school so they belittle any achievement of the school. |
