Depends on how early u book towards ur traveling date sir. It's not fixed thing. Anything from around 140k above should cover. Could be less if u are booking far ahead.

Hmmm...at this point I'm going to be honest with u sir. It's all packaging. There's nothing happening at the embassy and I'd advice u not to rely on anyone picking u up at the airport. Prepare urself for ur transportation, accommodation and feeding. I suspect he already told u there's a job already waiting for u. If I were u, I'd take that with a pinch of salt too. Truly, the visa will be printed out on a piece of paper but u don't need to travel all the way down to Abuja to get it. U can sit in ur room and print it out urself or even at the airport. The Qatar immigration website is available for u to confirm the authenticity of any type of visa issued for u. All u need is just the visa number and the full details of the visa and the owner will show on ur screen and u can go ahead and print it. They will just stamp ur passport that u have entered the country. U are expected to go for medicals & finger print to process ur residence permit. Everything costs around 1500riyals to 2000riyals depending on ur company and the hands of people u 'fall' into. Costs some more than that if they are so unlucky. U are expected to do all these within a grace period of 3 months after which they start charging u a fee per day.

I hate to burst ur bubble but I've seen too many people get here and start crying at the airport when reality dawns on them. If EVERYTHING ur agent turns out to be true, I will personally take u out for lunch whenever u land in Doha.

This is interesting. Sometimes I wonder what people tend to gain when I hear stories like this. The greatest problem of Nigerians anywhere is Nigerians. I hope this is sorted out soon.

By the way, I'm waiting to read from the person who said he was going to collect his visa from Qatar embassy or something like that. Kindly update us about ur dad's friend who's handling the thing.

Nice analysis u put up there. Sorry about ur lost phones. The S1 is still seems to be the best bargain. I've seen it going on some sites for around 350. Lets just keep our fingers crossed. The 820 isn't bad for a second phone. Having a 5incher with it shouldn't really be a burden.

These Chinese guys won't kill someone with all the suspense and crazy specs. The design of the Meizu is really enticing. Maybe I can add it to the other two I have in mind - the Jiayu S1 & much awaited Xiaomi M3. Speaking of LTE, u can get that on another phone except u don't want to carry 2 phones around. I got that covered already on the Windows Phone so it won't be a deal-breaker for me on the Chinese brands.

Doha International Airport is in another country (Qatar). Sounds like u are just having a transit through the airport where u will connect another flight to U.A.E. As for the hotel thing, I leave that to the people there

The OS isn't bad. I've not had any issues with it. Everything running smoothly. Not really downloaded so much apps on it yet. Just Temple Run, Bible, touch light app & a few others but it had handled everything I've thrown at it quite very well. I need some pointers in the area of getting good apps though.
As for ur choice, I couldn't pick an android phone for now as I don't want to end up with two phones with the same OS. Got mine for a good price from eBay and u wouldn't know it's not new if I didn't tell u. When I got it, I simply called at&t and they gave me the code to unlock. So it's a steal in every way.
Jiayu is quite slow with how they churn out their phones. Wish they could make things faster but then I wouldn't want to trade that for the good build quality they deliver. My eyes is on the S1 and I'm willing to wait. Only snag for me is that is I plan to wait at least 3 months after the phone is launched before I attempt buying it so that in a way adds to my waiting time.

What we do here usually is place adverts in the newspapers. Potential employers go through and give the person a call to come in for an interview. We also go through vacancies in the dailies and then apply but that method isn't that effective like it used to be. Another route is through friends. Someone gets the info about a place and tells others. That works well too. U can check gulf-times.com to see how the adverts are run.

As regards the visa, ur best bet is through a friend/family. The closest many of the agents in Nigeria has been to Qatar is Ikeja bus stop and they will tell u all sorts of sweet stories just to get cash.
