@ Blaze Ok sir. Where do u want me to start from 'cos I already posted some info few pages back. @ Henrimoto You are sending kisses to Queen right inside the palace. Seems you are tired of being in the palace. It wont be nepa alone that will shut down ur phone with u are trying. The whole transformer may just be removed. Which ministry did I tell u I'm running? Lol. |
kinesis: simple. send ur number to the mail above (ememoATlive.com) ...then i send u a request to join the group....unfortunately, its only via text one can be invited to a groupOkay sir. What of people outside Nigeria? |
Ok...so how do we go about this? I'm a new WP8 user. |
@ Kinesis Please state what type of forum. Thanks |
Will be cool if it has wireless charging too...they should please just release the thing. I don't blame me if you puck another device cos of the delay. We've been waiting for ages. Instead of them to release the thing, they are pushing out rumours for S2. I got a Lumia 820 to keep myself for the main time. |
ogakpatakpata: @Dr.Dre....okay......l got your drift, do have a splendid and blissful weekend in Qatar. Thanks sir and u too. |
Hahahaha. No sir...but it has to do with emergency services too sir. Wish I was a doctor in these parts. |
Work resumes tomorrow sir. I didn't have any part of the holiday. |
@ Henrimoto Hope you have been able to charge your phone lol. @ Goodtalk Waiting to hear your story. There's always a thing or two that can be learned from every experience in life. All the best. |
blaze007: yes o. Since i cnt get any sponsor or job to dat syd, hw we go tak do am na? Make i send u pm.Got ur mail & I've replied. As regards ur question, the only DIY way is getting a job directly from Nigeria and the company will do ur visa for u. Any other way leaves u at the mercy of visa agents. In reality, 99% of people here got here through that route. |

Gosh!!! How did I miss seeing this thread before now? This should be fun ![]() Please let's make this work. |
@ FBI/CIA Companies opened during the fasting period but some with adjusted working hours. The law allows a maximum of 8 working hours during the fasting. They've shut down for the holidays already which started earlier today. Work resumes on Sunday. |
Hehehehe. Thanks for the offer |
Hmm... I guess there's no point trying to hold u back from heading into the desert if all these activities are happening there lol |
FBI/CIA:me ke? So u are calling me a politician now. Please o. I'm not o. Check ur box very well. Maybe it went inside the spam folder. Hope u haven't been sipping from that white liquid Ogakpatakpata likes lol. |
FBI/CIA:Who? Me? Did u get my reply yet? |
I replied already sir. Not long after u sent it. As for the palace thing in Qatar, I'm not afraid o. You know it was just few hours ago that my position was adjusted. Who knows what I will wake up to tomorrow again lol. At least the mistake has been rectified lol. @ Ogakpatakpata Don't head for the desert o. Ok I'd send some kolanuts and dates down. Lol. I shall report u to the Queen. I'm sure she knows how to handle u. |
ebonypon: @ Dr Dre tnx so much for ur response. I will do as u hv said. So pls I wl be looking forward to more useful hints. God bless U.Thank GOD ma'am. Keep the house updated with your search & feel free to ask questions anytime. Wish u the very best. Regards |
HABRUZZY: please house wats the cost of studying in an affordable school in Qatar undergraduate and do international student have a chance to work you responses are welcomedDon't mean to discourage u sir but if I were u, I'd look elsewhere in terms of education. It's very expensive and u can get better in terms of exposure, tuition, etc in other places. @ Ogakpatakpata Pls don't embark on such trip o. I said from the beginning that I don't do drinks. Besides, u know Ramadan fasting is on. It won't be a good sight u walking sideways on the streets of Dubai. Lol I think I might have missed whatever Goodtalk suggested. Pls point it out for me sir. Thanks |
I don't even know what to say anymore. Everytime I read this thread, I have to run for cover before people around start thinking something is wrong with me cos of the way I laugh. @ Ogakpatakpata Someone sent me a couple of mails asking questions about Dubai & I pointed him in your direction. From his last reply, it seems he's got us mixed up. I will tell him to identify himself here, if he doesn't mind, so that he can get the help he needs. Greetings to everyone |
@ Ebonypon Welcome here. I assume u are a female nurse. Try & search the internet for as many medical line vacancies in Qatar as possible. Female visas are usually more expensive and scarce to arrange through companies. As for the exam, it is organized by the Qatar Supreme Health Council. I can't remember the exact amount but will ask around and get back to you with anything I get on it. All the best. |
I don't think they want to be like UAE literally. I feel they just want to be unique in their own way. Remember they used to part of that place. Time will tell where they eventually put themselves. As for UAE, I suspect the 'law of diminishing returns' may catch up with them sometimes in the future. Just a thought. I don't mean to sound negative. |
Yeah but I think it will happen long before the world cup thing. They've made very huge investments over the past 10 to 15 years and there's no way they'd make those investments worth it if they maintain a closed system as this. Let me point out two huge examples for u. The world market and the new airport. The market will rival that of Dubai. It's touted as being one of the biggest (if not the biggest) in the world. The airport also is a massive project. They've been constructing it for about 8 years now & honestly the end is not in sight yet. I've not been to many big airports around the world yet but this will make many airports around the world run for cover when it finally opens. About $16 billion has been pumped into it and they are still doing more. Considering these 2 examples, I think we may see a change in how things run here within 3 to 5 years as they will need to attract millions of people from around the world. |
@ Ogakpatakpata Good day. Lol. I hope ur women won't send u out of the palace if they see ur comments o. About the types of visa thing, Dubai is slightly better than here. At least over there, they have investors in mind very well. People can to a large extent own properties. Here, it's not that easy. I'm hoping that in the not too distant future, Qatar will be more open to the outside world like Dubai especially with the new ruler. Hope I've not missed out any questions. |
FBI/CIA:There's no specific time frame if the person gets the job from Nigeria because as u know, different types of documents will be processed by the company's HR department. The pace of work differs from one company to another. Also if the is being 'arranged' for the person, the timeframe depends on the person doing it from here. Signing of offer letter will be done when the person gets here. Some companies don't even bother with that as all they interested in is ur money. From the time the documents are filed with the government here for issuance of visa, it can take 2 to 7 days or more depending on many reasons. Sometimes an embargo might be placed on visa so things can get really slowed down. Air ticket differs from one airline to another. If u book early ahead of ur travel date, u pay less. Turkish airline is quite cheap. U can get that for less than 95k even with a week travel date booking sometimes. Saudi Airline is very cheap but they only operate from Kano airport. They charge about 40k or thereabout. @ Ogakpatakpata I'd be more present hopefully from now. Picked up a better phone I had sent to me today at the post office. I spend most hours out of the house so I hardly use the pc. I'm supposed to even make a physical presence in ur palace in September as I'm meant to attend a world business conference in Dubai but won't be able to make it down. Hopefully, I'd visit one day. As regards the palm wine, allow me to remind u that I brought milk in plastic bottles the other time instead of palm wine inside calabash lol. |
ogakpatakpata: @Dr.Dre.......how is everything with you in Qatar,l guess you must have been so busy lately?....I'm fine thank u sir. Why do u say so? Do u think I should appear more in the 'palace'? |
It depends on the type of training/course. While some are as low as around 7k naira, some can cost over 300k naira |
@ FBI/CIA U are welcomed sir. Prices differ depending on location & type of building / apartment. In a decent location, a room starts from around 1500qrs upwards. Semi furnished 2 bedroom apartments start from around 5000qrs. The law says not more than 4 persons to a room but people go beyond that. The accomodation provided by companies depends on the position of the person. It's usually shared accomodation except for mid & high cadre staff. Some have very nice ones while some are not so good. Nigerian certificates are still accepted here to a large extent. People however run several certificate courses/trainings here to upgrade themselves to boost their c.vs. NEBOSH is about the most popular as there are quite a good number of Nigerians working as safety officers/managers. There are also courses related to Quality Assurance, Quantity surveying, etc. For medical & health related line of jobs, there's an exam that must be taken which run by the Supreme Health Council. These are just a few as there are others I may not have heard of myself. |
@ Ogakaptakpata Now my eyes are open! @ Henrimoto Ha! You tricked me! That's why you are calling me your 'friend' abi? I know what to do. Not going to be your 'customer' again after this time lol |
