Awww, Liz, u r a darling. Not at all, thank you for doing the research. I'm posting it now. Will put up the link when I'm done.

@all, have a very wonderful day.
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 10:25pm On Oct 20, 2013
@Uteh, lol @taking the second bottle to work. Let him take it. When it finishes, don't make more for about a week. When you do make more, just blend enough to fill one glass. Leave the remaining nuts soaked till you want to blend again. Remember to change the soaking water 2ce a day.
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 8:41pm On Oct 20, 2013
@twingirls, no kill me with laugh oooo. I just sent it to Lizzy to try it out for her hubby. I made it today, will post the recipe with pictures tomorrow. Promise!

The parsley is meant to be used in vegetable juice/smoothie. However, you just finished detoxing, so please let your body rest a little. Juice one apple (juice, don't blend) then blend the apple juice with a handful of parsley. Drink it once a day for 2 days (only 2 days because you have done serious shaking off). I'm very happy to hear you like the fufu. We love it too. Hugs!

@Mowafruitful, Amen! I don't understand your question about the brown rice o. I get what you mean about the power supply. I will post the menu soon, so you can choose what to stock per week. Take your time, when you remember the questions, feel free to ask them

@Venuss, yes o. One cup of bone broth everyday. Lol@ the broth of bone. Buy biscuit bone or cow tail (something with juicy marrow)

@iyatt, pls email me- fruitfulkitchen@gmail.com
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 12:01pm On Oct 20, 2013
Kike, welcome. Read the package instructions. If it's sweetened with maple syrup, that's fine, but if it's with sugar, and some funny chemicals, pls buy quaker or good morning plain oats.

You can use any white rice instead of brown, but for the purposes if this challenge, use half the amount of white rice for the stated amount of brown rice, and eat an extra serving of greens or vegetables.

Yes, I actually tried to pm you before
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op):
Decided to address this here too, for those of us who might not know the benefit of eating this way

Ok, let me try. This diet is not low fat, but it is low in BAD cholesterol. Most people don't know that there are 2 types of cholesterol:the bad and the good, ie HDL and LDL. In fact, high cholesterol levels are one of the leading causes of unexplained infertility. Also, if you've TTC for 2 years (for example), and cause of infertility is unknown or unexplained, I think it's time to change your food intake. That may well be the stumbling block.

Intact, apart from the occasional high vitamin A levels in the diet, the parsley and pineapple, this meal plan is for everyone, and as the recipes come up, the reasoning behind their inclusion in the diet will be made clear. If you look at the lists of foods that are listed for women who have endo, fibroids or pcos, you will find that NOT every meal has its nutrition. Studies have shown that starches should be avoided by these 3 groups (now, when our Nigerian meals are chockful of starches at almost every table, isn't it time to make a change?)these meals take all those into consideration and more. I've put in the time to ensure that each ingredient, each meal helps our bodies in some way

It's simple really, if you like, don't call it a diet, but something has got to give. A lot of women have used food, alongside other things to heal themselves...I think it's time we did too.

I've also already said that this should be incorporated into our lifestyles, it just makes sense. Eat well, live well, be well.

I hope I've answered everyone's questions. Like I always say, if you are still in doubt, do some research on your own to find out if and how food contributes to fertility. Don't depend on what I say (I am the same way- I always try to get corroborating evidence). The Internet is at your fingertips. Look at studies from reputable institutions. Then do the research to see whether it's safe to eat all foods when TTC.

Lol@Lizzy. Na me u dey laugh abi? Ok o. Abeg, u pass me there, no contest.

Yes, it's the directions on the regular quaker oats o. You know what, make your apple mixture first. Make your oats the way you usually do, but don't add anything. When the oats are ready, add the milk and the apple mixture. Put it back on heat for like 1 minute or 2. Ur dh was laughing at you? I'm sure it was a laugh of relief. Reload and make it again for him. If I can, I will post a step by step tomorrow.

FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 4:39pm On Oct 19, 2013
@Twingirls, it was lumpy. I make wheat by stirring the flour into cold water, putting on heat, letting it thicken well, then pour in some boiling water and cover to cook. I didn't know I could make amala like that. I always thought it had to be poured into boiling water o. I will try it my way and let you know. Thank you.

Per the croaker, you can go ahead. I recommended the other 2 because of higher iron content, but reading deeper now, I see that they are higher by only 1%.

Welcome jommy, may God's will be done in these 30 days. Amen
@MamaT, no let your anger become annoyed. The broth is just the liquid after boiling the biscuit bones or cow tail with vinegar and some vegetables. I will post the recipe on Monday. You just boil, sieve and freeze in little containers for daily use. No vex biko.
@onyinyechika, I think she mentioned mile 12, but maybe a PT is in order o.

Cryingheart: Hello, I signed up to do this. Thank you for doing this, dreamsbc.
I hope I didn't miss anything. When is it starting please? I need to lose plenty weight as well.
Welcome. It starts on the 1st of November. Pick up from where you are in your cycle, and continue for 30 days. Have you checked out the TTC thread? It would be a good idea to read through. There are lots of good advice there as well.
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 10:19am On Oct 19, 2013
uteh: Na wa. I used to think pumpkin is d ugwu seed o. And what is d local name for parsley? This brown rice, i have never seen it before, dont think its available in the local market.
No, it's not in the market. You can find it in big shops. If you can't find it, no worries, just reduce the amount of white rice by 1/2 and eat two servings of greens or salad
Lol, pumpkin is a fruit/vegetable on its own. Ugu leaves are the leaves.

FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 7:33am On Oct 19, 2013
@twingirls, I don't know how to make amala o. I tried twice in the past and, well, let's just say I just licked soup those 2 times. My amala eating is reserved for Shitta and White house when I'm in Lagos. Lol! It's like making semo or wheat sha.
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 8:15pm On Oct 18, 2013
All in the fridge. For the cauliflower, seperate the florets and wrap in newspaper. Cauliflower at 500 for 3? Forget jos o, Lagos is the place to be. Here, one medium cauliflower is 500, that's why I didn't include it, make we save small money.

Omo, that garden, work dey am ooo. Enjoy...yes fresh is always better than canned. The less processed food we consume, the better. I'm very surprised you found all these o.
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 6:30pm On Oct 18, 2013
@Hawtmummie and Lizzie, Abeg make una leave me o. I'm laughing like a fool here.

@Venuss, yes it's that one. Depending on the source, it might wash off. Don't worry. Haaaa, trust me now. I will put in some snacks along the way, So that Lizzy's husband will not commit sweeticide. Lol!
Awww, why can't u join? Ok, but you can make some of the recipes along the line na? I will email you. Yes, grapefruit is that one in the orange family, the big, sour one.
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 2:12pm On Oct 18, 2013
@coco diva, thank you...please feel free to make contributions here o! This is a German-German approach. grin

@all, these are the ground rules... shocked

1. RELAX! If your mind is stressed, your body is stressed.
2. Before you start, fast, or do 1 hour midnight prayer, commending the 30 days to God, asking Him to take charge.
3. Aim for 8 glasses of water a day (if you can drink more, good, but remember that there is such a thing as water intoxication and it's not only counter-intuitive for our purposes, it might also be fatal).
4. FIRST thing in the morning, mix 2 cups of hot water with juice of 1/2 a lemon. Drink. This is only for women. Count this towards your 8 cups of water. Stop at O
5. One cup of bone broth is a MUST everyday for the duration of 30 days. Drink it at whatever time you like. You can drink it like that, or make an egg drop soup or cabbage soup (recipes up soon).
6. After the lemon mixture, but before breakfast, mix 1 tablespoon of ACV, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Add 2 cups of warm water to the mixture. Stir and drink (better to use a straw as acv weakens tooth enamel) do not count this towards your daily water intake.
7. One grapefruit is a mandatory snack everyday, from start to finish of the 30 days (if you don't want to lose weight, increase your food intake by 1/2)
8. Use the pineapple CORE from 1-5 DPO. Let DH eat the flesh (recipes for pineapple core and flesh coming up)
9. Yam contains strong phytoestrogens which mimic the estrogen already in the body, giving a clomid-like effect. For this reason, stop consuming yam after O. DH can continue for the duration (aren't they lucky?)
10. Make sure you consume one serving of oats (in form of oatmeal or fufu) everyday.
11. For those of us using parsley, it is a womb stimulant, stop using after O
12. When in doubt as to when to stop consuming parsley, yam and lemons, stop at day 10 of your cycle
13. Eat at least ONE serving of greens or salad, aim for 2 (recipes coming soon)
14. Starting the day before O, soak your feet in warm water before bed, keep you feet warm (men, sleep with cold feet, you've been enjoying too much!)
15. After dinner, blend 2 tomatoes and give DH to drink.
16. Not more than 2 bananas a week-men and women,

some little notes: please take at least 3 days out of the month to give thanks to God. They don't have to be consecutive days. No requests, just be in the attitude of gratitude. Thank God for your children (call them by name). Thank Him for everything.
In the period, GO OUT OF YOUR WAY to do something good for a stranger who cannot show gratitude to you. Let it be something that will inconvenience you a little. Sometimes, it's these little things that hinder our blessings.

This is quite a list, but it's all worth it. Remember, the replenishment time for our reproductive system (male and female) is an average of 3 months. What you eat today will affect you in the next 90 days; at the end of this challenge, incorporate some of these things into your everyday life.
May God hear and answer our prayers and crown our efforts with success. AMEN!

Bcolah, for all except uziza leaves and pumpkin, check Goodies, Oasis or Shoprite. In fact, you can get pumpkin in shoprite. For the uziza leaves, just ask those ibo women who sell soup items in the market. Lemons too, ask the people who sell oranges. Peaches-shoprite

AtandaAtiAdisa: @Dreamsinbc dearie Will start my shopping's immediately. Hope my shake off and acv will not disturb anything ooo.
Not at all. Acv is one of the items on the list. It's to be taken daily. Your shake coupled with everything here will make you lose more weight. If you have the weight to lose, use it alongside. If you don't, finish your course of shake off first.

@all, welcome!!!

@mum2be, y so blue?

@all, I've moved to www.thefruitfulkitchen.
My email address is fruitfulkitchen@gmail.com

Labella, thanks for following. I found the Almond oil in the freezer section, on those shelves above the freezer. Yesterday, I saw it in Grand Square too, the oil section

You can get parsley in a salad market in Kado Estate. Enter Kado from the express road to life camp. It's on the right. It's very easy to miss if you aren't looking.

@Hopeful, yes dear, there are some recipes for different cycle times. I will indicate as I post.
You can get the cups at any cake/baking shop

lizzyslaw: @ Dreams kudos! Am in but Ȋ̝̊̅ hv a froblem! grin DH hates oats. Try as Ȋ̝̊̅ might, Ȋ̝̊̅ hv bn unable to get him to eat dt. And Ȋ̝̊̅ honestly don't know y cos Ȋ̝̊̅ love it. Am also lactose intolerant.cry Mixing wt wheat and plaintain flour will not be difficult cos he won't know what it is but alone? undecided na only God know! Will start shopping only A.S.A.P
I'll send you one of the oat recipes, so you can try it out and see if he still dislikes it. It will never be boring oats alone (too tiring). For you, leave out the milk. Just buy coconut milk and make milk from almonds. You can even make rice milk. Don't worry, there's something for everybody!
HealthRe: Pregnant After Trying To Conceive (ttc)?pls Come In To Chat/share With Others!! by Dreamsinbc(f): 6:30am On Oct 18, 2013
@favoured gal, pls add me to the list. I'm here now, I was sooo comfortable on the ttc thread. @all, I wanted to ask, is farting this much normal? I'm asking this early cos I'm feeling sorry for my dh. Throughout the night, he was breathing my fart oxygen. As in, the thing tire me sef. Did this happen to you? Is there anything I can do to alleviate it?
Thank you, and may God seal and protect the children in our wombs till the time is right for them to be born.
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 6:14am On Oct 18, 2013
@Salsera, no, I mean the pumpkin itself. I listed ugu seperately.
@twingirls, I'm sure you've seen it in the market, but always overlook it.
You can preserve uziza leaves by wrapping tightly in newspaper. Preserve carrots by peeling and covering in water in the fridge (change the water daily), eggplants are preserved in the fridge as well. Yes, you can use spinach in place of the amaranth, but I think amaranth is really easy to find (you know the vegetable they call green)
@mamat, u no lie. Brown rice is not sooo tasty, because of the high fibre content, but with the recipes I have planned, the taste won't be an issue (hopefully, lol) Let me look for pictures of the food scale I mean, and will show you pictures of the measuring cups I'm talking about. They come in a set, usually ranging from 1 teaspoon to 1 cup. It's 800 here, and it's a must for every kitchen.

The scale is to weigh meat, and vegetables but I'm sure that you can also use the size of your hand to measure the amount. I've seen a chart like that before. Will look for it and post it with pictures of the pumpkin, scale and cups.
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op): 11:16pm On Oct 17, 2013
@Bcolah, I think the only thing you should buy in batches is the unripe plantain and banana. I will post a menu table tomorrow. You can figure out when to buy them as we go along. Every other thing can keep. For the vegetables, wrap them well in newspaper and keep in the fridge.

MamaT of all nations...haba, peppersoup full ground na. No worry. If you are on shake off, bsm, etc, pls continue. Nothing spoil at all.

@wannabeamum, feel free to get canned coconut milk. Just dilute small. If it's full fat, mix with one cup of water and measure from it.
FoodRe: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(op):
