The list will be released when it will be released.

Please you guys should stop acting like you are foreigners. We all knew that this would happen.

I would suggest that people start making plans to differ their admissions till January or if it's not possible, next year. People should learn that the attitude to adjust to changes makes them a better person especially in this era of Changji. We will not always get what we want so we have to make do with what we've got.

While we all agree that the conditions are unacceptable, it is also unacceptable if you fail to prepare for unfavourable conditions. Use your head, plan for the future, find things you can do to accommodate this unfortunate situation.

Best of Luck.
It's a pity. O ma se o...

oga what are you trying to say?

do you mean your ancestors were sleeping when they were attending constitutional conferences? when they demanded for independence? when they sat together with other tribes and wrote the constitution?

if you are indeed Yoruba, then I'm sorry to say you have bought into ipob propaganda.

Nigerians made Nigeria what it is. it was not handed to you by the British like ipob want you to believe.
Maybe Lord Luggard was your great grandfather.

Common sense should tell you that Nigerian formation was different from independence. The so-called Nigerians had realised that they had a common enemy - the British, and themed together as comrades not as confidants. So that didn't eradicate the deep differences your ancestors had. And it has been undoing their offspring from 1960 till now. "Nigerians" have never been one, and they can never be, no matter what you say.

Mind you, I'm an independent thinker, and have no business with IPOB.

I'm Yoruba and you can't change that fact. And all Yorubas must not think the same way. Unity is never by force. I believe in self determination. If the majority of a people wants to go, by all means let them be.

Afterall, North was the first that wanted to secede (I'm sure you would argue this, but argue with your history books) but expediency made them stay.

I agree with Awo, "Nigeria is a mere geographical location" and I say it was just a business arrangement by the British.

What did Nigerians make Nigeria what it is o? Tell me something. A land that is filled with milk and honey? A land where people live in peace and harmony? A land where your children have a future? A land where your president uses its local health facilities? A land where you have 24 hours electricity?

I thought the organ housed by your cranium was functioning but you are in dire need of a transplant. Sorry, bye.

As to all those stuffs you wrote about Referendum, just one thing you missed: All those countries/organisations have it in their Constitution that when things like these happen, "we would decide via a referendum".
Nigerian Constitution does not have that part. undecided undecided

I know you know, what a Constitution is.
You can lecture me on what constitution is, Mr. Constitution Lawyer. The constitution that was shoved down your throat? Or talking of Nigeria: a country that was formed when your ancestors and those of other tribes sat down together with vision and said; let us form a country we shall name Nigeria? And then they couched a Constitution by themselves beginning with; "We the people...." Bros, be independent in your thinking.

Yes, I'm Yoruba and proud, deal with it! I need to say it to some bigoted people like you who automatically and fallaciously impute comments that don't align with your benighted, blinkered and parochial political ideologies with certain tribes.

Mr Political jobber, I'm done with this.

If that's you on your profile, then I'm immensely disappointed, such a waste of beauty. You are filled with so much vile and hate, retreat your steps and understand people have a right to free will and peaceful association. Secession is legal in every part of the world, Nigeria shouldn't be an exception.
What is beauty without brain?

Even Catalonia whose Capital is Barcelona wants to leave Spain. Self-determination is valid. Nigeria is a signatory to International law and Referendum is allowed. Let's even have this referendum and see what Nigerians think and not what few politicians that are not up to 5% of the Nigerian population think.

Nigeria will never be civilized if we can't get things like Refrendum done. UK via referendum is opting out of EU even when many of its political class differ. But the people decided and their will was honoured. No one said the union of EU or even UK that lumped us together for their economic gains was non-negotiable. I'm not surprised, majority of Blacks can't think independently and that's why we will forever be doing the biddings of Oyinbos.

The fact is Nigeria is never United and with the way things are, we may never be.

I'm Yoruba and I see how many people hate Igbos. If you hate them that much, and claim they are disgracing your country, shouldn't common sense tell you that you should allow them go?

peace be unto you brother, Has PTDF paid present beneficiaries up to date?, or is it NDDC that always owes?
You too man.

Both always owe.

PTDF has paid almost all OSS till date except those that deferred. But many LSS are owed, even from 2014/2015 set.

NDDC is another case. I don't know much about it since i'm not Niger Deltan but I hear they owe on a steady basis.

I love this! It brings up a cool debate and an avenue for us to learn and un-learn.

Yet, the quoted is my opinion. So you don't have to believe it. Keyword is ambitious schools. But it also depends on your definition of ambitious school. Anyway, if you have any counter-evidence, please share, I would like to learn from it.

P.S.. I've not asked anybody not to apply to ambitious and extremely competitive schools for PhD with a Nigerian B.Sc. Nigerians have done that and will still do it. I know someone rounding off PhD at MIT and another classmate in UT Austin . That also means I know their records.

In the days of PRESSID with guaranteed funding, those schools would have been easier to go, too. We don't know what PTDF is doing now. The hustle is more real now. We all need a reality check.

Thanks y'all for the congratulatory message. This is my profile

GRE: 312

TOEFL : will give soon

GPA: 4.68(3.7/4) plus a paper to my name

Department: Electrical and Computer Engineering( Interest in VLSI,embedded systems, IC or communication)

Work experience: Internship during UG and NYSC PPA(Teaching line)

After the test I sent scores to the following schools

1. Montana state university
2. University of Texas,Austin
3. University of Pennsylvania
4 University of Tennessee, Knoxville
5.Stevens Institute of Tech( Haven't reported scores)

Please I need ambitious, safe and moderate schools that fit my profile with funding/scholarship for MS/PhD.

Make una help una boy o biko..
Chief, Great GPA and lovely GRE scores.

You already have two ambitious schools in your list; UT Austin and UPenn. With your profile, you may get into UT Austin and UPenn, but funding is another thing. Except you are going for PhD, the hustle for full-funding for MSc real die! And getting into PhD programs with Nigerian BSc in ambitious schools is equally very difficult except you can prove that there is an Einstein in you.

Bros, get a chair, sit down and thoroughly research plenty schools (mostly safe schools and they are really not safe anymore) whose programs and faculties closely match your academic interests. Mail as much advisors as possible from those schools. They can say if there is any faculty that is willing to take you on, and most times they are open to tell you if they have funding or not. Although you won't usually mention to professors in your introductory mail that you need funding, they can see through you that funding is one of the major reasons you are contacting them, and before you ask, many will usually tell you if they have money or not.

I heard these schools are generous but check if they offer your program;

1. Univ of Florida
2. Univ of Colorado, Boulder
3. Texas Tech
4. Florida State (Florida A & M)
5. Univ of Tennessee, KN
6. Uni of Central Florida
7. Clarkson Uni
8. Colorado School of Mines
9. Wayne State Uni
10. Michigan Tech
11. NJ Inst of Tech
12. Mississippi State

Fellow hopefuls, I would like us to further bombard @PTDF_Nigeria with a lot of tweets. If they could say something via that platform, I suppose enough tweets and hashtags (#ReleaseTheList) could propel them towards doing the needful. I mean this is really getting out of hand, I've almost lost two admissions from top class institutions just because of some people's incompetencies - it's really crazy. I'm sure a lot of us fall in this category too.

I'm tired of hearing all sorts of gibberish unto the reason the list is being delayed. To those of us turning this thread to a battle of insults, all I have to say is "grow up".

So, back to the matter, I think twitter would be a really good platform to let out our anger and frustration, not here!

It is irresponsible for PTDF not to respond to the e-mails sent to them! If you are here and knows someone on the inside be it the Exec Secretary, tell them I say so! Why do they have e-mail address in the first place?

That's what happens when you employ civil servants based on man-know-man, and not based on competency.

I won't be surprised if the person managing the email doesn't know how to construct simple sentence to respond.

It appears that almost all the MDAs in Nigeria are grossly inefficient be it Immigration, NPF or what have you. I pity those who intend to travel for OSS and don't have their Passports already. Immigration officers will just tell you they don't have booklets to produce your passport unless you grease their filthy palms.

Anyway I will keep tweeting at PTDF whether they respond or not.

And when it comes to ethno-religious issues everyone develops quick fingers but when we say we should mount pressure on PTDF through Twitter and e-mail, many take on "siddon look" attitude, saying their fate is in God's hands and forgetting faith without work is dead.

It seems many of us don't understand life application of Newton's first law of motion.
