What inverter are you using?.
Does it have desulphation settings?.
Would advice you trickle charge the battery for48hrs at less than 4 amos...the desulphate...and check the specific gravity when fully charged, if not ok..then consider refilling the battery with fresh electrolyte of correct SG...and recharge slowly again.

The pulse repair charger can also be deployed .it has recorded some levels of success in bringing back batteries from the grave

Pls advice needed.
Found out the luminous 220ah tubular battery at work wasnt holding much charge again. Wasnt lasting more than an hour or so for very light load. Took a while before we checked the water level and found out it was completely dry. Used about 10l of AC water to fill up hoping that wud bring some improvement buh battery still aint holding charge for long. Any other possible rescue act or its time to change it. Thanks

I want to get a single 200ah battery for my 12v inverter to power a tv,ps4 console and power saving lights and would like to know the benefit of a tubular over smf/,non tubular battery.

Bought as Nigerian used about 9mths ago with manual gear. About 4 months ago while driving, the car suddenly lost power and went off. Had to push it to the side and when mechanic came, noticed the pulleys by the side of the engine werent turning while trying to start the car as the belt had cut so had it towed. Said he was goin to change 'engine' pulley and that they wud need to reset the timing. Also bought 2 sensors, one by the pulley and the other inside the engine beside the ? timing chain. Ever since then car has bin burning oil. Oil dipstick dropped from the upper line to minimum line in less than a mth of oil change. I do mostly short distance driving max 15minutes abt 2 to 3 times a week. Noticed blackish powder like substance in the silencer wit black smoke from the exhaust on starting the car after servicing today. Only engine codes is p0031 and p0032. Mechanic is saying i need to replace or ring the engine. Is there any other option available plus can anyone recommend a good mechanic here in Abeokuta

Initially blamed phcn but even wit mikano diesel gen, still does same thing. I'm using the suoer digital battery charger

Pls help house, my 650va converted ups has bin goin off on its own after 3hrs wit my 100ah battery yet when i plug the battery charger, battery level is still abt 60%. I usually get abt 6hrs wit the battery still around 50% at the end.
Secondly, i noticed the ups phcn indicator goes off when i plug the battery charger to the battery ends when there's light, thus i av to disconnect the UPS whenever i want to charge.

I have the 40a souer smart charger and it gets up to 15.3V while charging my AGM battery. Does your 30a version reach that voltage too? I know that the voltmeter of some of these chargers can lie sometimes.

I'm not sure it has any effect on the battery life, i use the same charger on my 100ah battery and it gets that high too, its almost a year now and i have not had any issues with the battery. I have bin making use of the battery every day in the last 9mths for at least 5hours and its not showing any sign of failing anytime soon

Congratulations to your friend. To your questions..

1. Yes you can. But never feed the house from the house socket. Just plug your extension and use.

2. Yes.

3. The battery will of course be drained though minimal. If there isn't any factory built switch to turn off the display, please don't alter else you may damage the system.

A friend of mine just bought the luminous delite package wit 900va inverter and 150ah tubular battery. My questions are
1 Instead of connecting the output to the distribution board, can I just plug in an extension as its only for tv and decoder use and sometimes a fan
2 can i plug the input to a 1.5kva AVR which is then plugged to the wall socket for charging/mains use
3 the display is on and showing the max time/battery charge state even when the inverter is off, would that continue to draw significant power from the battery or is there a way to permanently put of the display.

I can finally comment after taking it through its paces, thank you @feflo for your honesty and patience with my plenty questions and clarification even at odd hours. Only use it wit my LED tv and dstv decoder and even after abt 5hrs of use, battery is still at 55%. Keep up the good work Chief

I just got to know this thread abt a week now, impressed and decided to give him a trial. Have a tv i had bin trying to fix for a few mths now wit no success, black screen buh u can see the menu options when u use a torch. We talked on the phone and I ended up sending the tv early Tuesday morning via public transport from Ife to him in Lagos without having met him and I got my tv the next day intact and working well.
He kept me abreast of everything and put my mind at rest. I was glad i did in the end and I'm looking forward to more dealings with him.

There's only one note 2 and it aint the infinix. Actually miss my SGN 2,spoilt screen since last year and in one corner of my room, still av butterflies when i see it. That was a SMARTPHONE!!!
