Education › Tips For Assisting People Who Are Blind Or Have Low Vision by dridowu(op):
I don't really know the section i should post this but Mod you can move to the appropriate section.

Approach, Ask, Assist.
Approach: if you suspect someone may need a
hand, walk up, greet them and identify yourself.
Ask: "Would you like some help?" The person will
accept your offer or tell you if they don't require
assistance.
Assist: listen to the reply and assist as required.
Not all people who are blind or vision impaired
will want assistance - don't be offended if your
assistance is not required.
Address people who are blind or have low vision
by their names so they know you are speaking
to them.
Let the person who is blind or have low vision
know that you have entered the room.
Do not walk away from a person who is blind or
have low vision without indicating that you are
doing so - it is embarrassing and frustrating to
talk to thin air.
Let the person who is blind or have low vision
take your arm as described in the sighted guide
fact sheet.
In dangerous situations say " STOP " rather than
"LOOK OUT"
Do not relocate objects or furniture without
telling the person who is blind or has low vision.
Do not fill glasses or cups to the brim.
Use ordinary language when directing or
describing and be specific. Do not point, or say
"over there". Direct people who are blind or have
low vision to their left and right, not yours.
Use words like "look" and "see"; they are part of
everyone's vocabulary. Otherwise both you and
the person who is who is blind or have low vision
will feel awkward.
Describe the surroundings and obstacles in a
person's pathway (remember to look up as well
as down). Warn of the presence of over-hangs,
such as kitchen cupboards, jutting side mirrors
of cars, or trees.
Do not leave doors ajar. Close them or open
them fully.
Be aware that the person who is blind or has low
vision will be disadvantaged by not seeing what
is going on. Therefore talk about what is
happening.
Ask people who are blind or have low vision what
they want or need. Do not direct questions
through their companion.
If people who are blind or have low vision extend
their hands to shake, do so.
When seating people who are blind or have low
vision, put their hands on the back of the chair
and they will then be able to seat themselves.

Christianity Etc › Re: Photo:Few Igbos Become Muslims When They Want To Reap from Yoruba/Hausa-Fulani by dridowu: 8:49am On Jul 29, 2014
ChrisOD: Igbos become Muslims only when they want to dupe you. There is no true Igbo Muslim, as Islam is a taboo and anathema in Igboland. There is no virtue to be learned from Islam to motivate any sane Igbo person becoming a Muslim. We do not want terrorists and religious mass murderers in our land.

See fake mallam Orji Kalu rapping the Sultan to fleece him of his unhard-earned money.

Point of correction, their is noting like "JUNIOR WAEC" . I went to public school (from Nursery to University) like most Nigerians. The exams written by JSS3 pupils during 3rd term is not conducted by WAEC , not even the FG but conducted solely by the state government. So my dear , noting like "Junior WAEC"

Ohaneze Urges Kalu, Other Igbos to Drop
Presidential Ambition
The President General of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Mr.
Gary Nnachi Enwu-Igariwey, Monday said the
organisation had appealed to prominent Igbo
politicians to shelve their ambitions to contest for
president in 2015 by working with body to articulate
the way forward.
Enwu-Igariwey, who spoke to journalists shortly
after holding consultations with the former Governor
of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, at his residence
in Abuja, said the body was consulting with
prominent Igbo leaders and all the critical
stakeholders in the Igbo nation in order to arrive at
a unified approach for the 2015 elections.
“We feel it will be quite strategic if we can speak
with one voice. We no longer want a situation where
we will be speaking with different voices, that was
why we came to rob minds with him as one of those
who has declared his presidential ambition. We
have come to appeal to him to shelve his ambition
in the interest of the Igbo nation,” he said.
Ohaneze Ndi Igbo is made up of a collection of Igbo
elders, leaders and those in top government
positions, who constitute the inner caucus of its
decision-making apparatus.
The President General said the reason for asking
Kalu and other notable Igbo sons and daughters to
shelve their intentions was to enable them key into
Ohaneze’s new platform for actualising the dream
in the politics of the country.
The Ohaneze leader, who failed to state whether or
not the move was meant to give President Goodluck
Jonathan a chance, said the apex Igbo cultural body
would soon meet to analyse the political situation
before making public its position and interests on
the 2015 presidency.
Enwu-Igariwey, also expressed dismay at the
statement credited to the Northern Elders’ Forum
(NEF), where it threatened to take the former Chief
of Army Staff, General Azubuike Ihejirika, to the
International Criminal Court (ICC).
According to him, the least that is expected from
every patriotic citizen is to encourage the military in
their sacrifice and not to disparage them as the
northern elders seem to be doing.
“We object to the threat by NEF to drag the former
Chief of Army Staff, Ihejirika to the world court and
demand that they withdraw that forthwith,” he said.
The President General, who used the opportunity to
state that there are no factions within Ohaneze,
added that it was the only body that had the
authority to speak for the Igbo interest.
Speaking on the proposed national dialogue, Enwu-
Igariwey said some of the suggestions the
organisation put forward to help the national
dialogue was that there should be equal
representation from all the six geo-political zones,
and that each zones should try to nominate
delegates from all the ethic nationalities from the
place.
He said in order to ensure that the national dialogue
had legal backing, the president should send an
executive bill to the National Assembly to enact an
Act to cover it.
Enwu-Igariwey said Ohaneze suggested that
everything about the dialogue, including the
approval of a new constitution through a national
referendum should be concluded before the tenure
of this government so that the incoming government
would apply it.
Kalu, in his remarks, pledged to abide by the
position of the Ohaneze to shelve his presidential
ambition, expressing the hope that the body would
allow Igbo interest to be paramount in their
decisions.
He pledged to meet with Prof. Ben Nwabueze and
other members of the rival Igbo Elders’ Forum (IEF)
on how to form a common front on Igbo agenda.
While commenting on the just released 2015
general election timetable, Kalu said even though he
may no longer take part in the contest, there was
nothing wrong with the schedule of the elections.
He urged politicians not to complain every time INEC
comes up with a timetable, adding that what a
serious politician would do was to campaign and
educate the electorate properly on how to make
informed choices at the polls.
However, Kalu urged INEC to reconsider fixing
elections on Saturdays, saying many Nigerians use
the day to worship God.

Will Igbo people allow their own to contest ? Only if this question can be answer with all sincerity. Until Igbo put their house in order before other tribe/parties can take them serious on the issue of Presidency. No matter how much support Igbo give GEJ , i am 99.99% sure he won't hand-over to an Igbo Origin either in 2015/2019. As far that Nigeria still stand as one, it will takes time before Igbo man/woman to be President of Nigeria. How soon ? I don't know
Politics › Re: Boko Haram : Some Soldiers Chicken Out Of Battle – Gen Minimah by dridowu:
pro01: Then why enlist in the armed forces in the first place? The military is not an institution for mercantile hedonists concerned with profit-making, "welfare", comfort, and a pleasurable life. Anyone who chooses to join the military automatically SIGNS UP TO DIE FOR HIS OR HER COUNTRY. It doesn't matter if you'll be armed with only machetes and then made to face gun-wielding enemies in battle. That is what you voluntarily signed up for.
I find all this "poor welfare" or "lack of equipment" talk nonsensical. Joining the military is optional; you don't go there expecting to have things easy, or to find optimal/ideal conditons. If you don't have balls of steel, a patriotic mindset, and the mental readiness to die in battle, then you have no business seeking 'employment' there in the first place.
These Nigerian military guys are mostly cowards who join the armed forces for the wrong reasons. They want the money, the oppressive prestige conferred by the uniform, the impunity to misbehave or break the law and get away with it, and the opportunity to 'show power' to "bloody civilians". For no less than 90% of current soldiers, these were the main motivations for joining the Nigerian Armed Forces. These mõrons are pathetic and unprofessional cowards for the most part, it's as simple as that.
I will to reply you with this >>>>>
LordMecuzy: How won't they ChIcken Out?

When the recruitment process is Man Know Man filled with cousins n sons of Generals and Politicians, who see it as a means to Loot our financial treasury.

Thereby Leaving out those with the real Zeal and passion that want to Join the Nigerian Army
@pro01, i got your point, though some people only want to enjoy the financial aspect of it . In addition you only talk about their welfarism , you forgot that majority of the junior officers have been short-change numbers of times , which i still believe that is one of the reason while they prefer to be chicken out.
