Relatives decided that Maxine and Don Simpson should be together in their Bakersfield home for their final hours after their health began to fail. They were together until the very end. A California couple who’d been married for 62 years died — lying next to each other — just four hours apart. Maxine and Don Simpson died peacefully in their Bakersfield home last month, surrounded by friends and family. The pair spent more six decades together and raised two adopted sons when Don fell and broke his hip two weeks ago. During the same period, his wife began losing her battle with cancer. Civil engineer Don was admitted to hospital, but his health — and that of his spouse — seriously started to fail. "I knew in my heart this is what's supposed to happen," granddaughter Melissa Sloan told KERO News. “Grandma and grandpa are supposed to be together and grandma and grandpa are going to die together,” she added. Sloan said she called up her sister and said they had “one shot” to get the couple together. Moved into a spare room in the family's home, they pushed their grandparents' beds together so they could hold hands. Shortly after, Maxine took her last breath. Then, about four hours later, Don did the same. “I walked them out with her body, walked back in to check on grandpa and he quit breathing as soon as her body left the room,” Sloan said. “He left with her, and they passed four hours apart from each other,” she added. “It's just amazing. It really is amazing. It's a true love story.” Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/calif-couple-dies-4-hours-62-years-marriage-article-1.1890880#ixzz39eH4tfgK

PDP should focus on how to retain those states they are ruling before shifting attention to the states they may likely lose. Anyway election is one man one vote. |
The only thing they are interested in is to impeach him illegally. Well my advice to CJ is to constitute another panel so as to shame the lawmakers who want to impeach the Gov Illegally. |
NetBizguy: Please bros don't annoyed oo!, ok. erhm..., Is it True that PDP means People Destruction Party, We were asked the meaning of PDP in our take home assignment, I thought the answer was "PAPA DECEIVE PIKIN" before my mum told me its "PEOPLE DESTRUCTION PARTY" I will like to confirm the correct answer or do you think there is another correct one, Please help the thing carries 10marks. Thanks |

Omexonomy: In a traditional african society a man is entitled to more than one wife- laws of lagos and yoruba land.if you don't have something meaningful upstairs to type or comment, then keep mute . Stop showing us your stupidity, we are tired of it. You talk as if no man in your land as never or will never marry more than 1 wife willingly or non willingly. @topic, my simple advice to you, talk to him , let him reason that such act is too early in your marriage and the act will never sow the seed of goodness. If he does not change , then the ball is in your court either to move on or move away. Jah Bless |
That is Intelluctual Campaign , not like an aspirant going with a masked destroyer. GEJ and his supporter will surely makes use of this style after he finally declare his interest . |
Where was Omisore since all this days ? SUG should collect it without wasting time if they are yet to receive it ? Because if Omisore eventually win/lose without them collecting the bus then they will lose on both sides. SUG is just a body of less than 50 students and they can't speak for the entire student during election. Election is one man one vote without rigging. My advice to all OAU students that will be voting during OSUN gov election, they should vote without fear or favour for the candidate they believe in. |
Slap your Vice-Chancellor ...................................lol On a serious note, i believe you will be in 200level and above, ever since you gain admission are you telling me you don't know what those previous elected official have been doing ? Anyway, my advice is that you don't need to spray money but you and your campaign team will start with customise sms that will be sent to atleast 90% of the entire student, then after that you will start with department to department, faculty to faculty, hostel to hostel , fellowship to fellowship, mosque to mosque, and finally individual to individual campaign. You will have to humble yourself during this period and after this period because you may still need them later. All the best |
Shame on West African Leaders that are suppose to quipped the health sectors but fails to do so |

delishpot: Should the passenger's also ask to be paid? Due to travelling hazards? Should the hostesses and other workers at the airport ask to be paid too due to occupational hazards. Can the nurses ask to be paid more too? Doctors are not the only ones dealing with risks here. They are even better equipped to protect themselves unlike the others. I. E air hostesses and school teachers. If other profession know their worth they will ask for the hazard allowance, so the Doctors know their worth and they are asking for it. Chikena |
chikkyberry: Convulsion cannot occur if ther is no high fever so always ensure dat d boys temperature is not high.if he is hot expose him bath him with cold water to reduce the temperature. And temperature rise does not com without a cause, mayb malaria or any other underlining cause. , so he has to see a doc run some test and know the reason for the rise in temperatur.honestly , i don't believe in this theory of "hot"/high fever, the convulsion always affect sm1 i know anytime, body temp either low/high. I just thank God for the person, the last time it occur was 10yrs ago |
