U shut up your mouths now, Chelsea is undergoing some stress and y'all are running your mouths. What y'all are saying is what Chelsea said sometime ago, and we beat them. Well it seems like poster has gotten a lot of replies and advice. U get the gist now so do what you have to do girl (i mean the right thing). There's one thing i'd like to say here and that is:

We Nigerians have really got to stand tall no matter what people think or say about us. For instance if poster decides to agree to the German boss' advances, the next thing he'll say is that Nigerian women are the most promiscuous, cheap etc etc (not that it hasn't been said before). Which of course makes things difficult for the good ones out there.


Perhaps it'll even be talked about in the Oprah Show. Talking about Oprah Show, the last time i checked, she said all Nigerians are 419 and we even go to school to learn it. If she can say that, what stops other people saying that about the Nigerian woman? To me, like some people has said in here, we have to stand and reclaim our dignity. Did anyone take time to read what i said? What are y'all arguing about? The post said "The Real Catholics" in part. Those of y'all defending the faith never said anything about that. Who are the real catholics? The "Catholics" or the "Roman Catholics"? If the Catholics say they're the "real", then what about the Roman Catholics? Are they fakes?

I see you're a real lawyer, no offence man . but, to me:

1. I don't think you guys really pray to Mary, but rather, pray through Mary.

2. Bowing doesn't necessarily mean "dipping your head until it is in line with your waist". Dipping your head however slightly, is still bowing.

In the light of those two, i wish to say that all i've said now and before isn't to say that Catholics are not 'Real' or 'Fake'. They've been said based on what i've seen and not what i've heard. I don't expect a reply on this, but,

Images help us to remember some past events and also help to know some great men and women of God and the society. Some instances in the Holy scripture where God the father and our Lord Jesus Christ manifested their power by the use of images: In Gen1:26-27 God himself introduced the making of images when he made man in his own Image and likeness. Gen6:13-22, God instructed Noah to make the Ark the image of copper which restored life on earth. Gen.28:18-22, Jacob used the image of stone to demonstrate his worship and dedication to God. Exodus 13:21-22, God led and protected his people Israel from their enemies through d image of pillar of fire by night and pillar of cloud by day. In Num.15:37-41, God commanded d Israelites to make the image of Tassels which will remind them of all His commandments. In Chro 13:13-14, God blessed Obed and Edom 4 receiving d image of the Ark of d old covenant into their house (example is the enthronement u see in Catholic homes). Joshua 4:1-7, Joshua & his people kept some stone images as requested by God, to remind them and their descendants how God stopped the river Jordan from flowing when d Lord's covenant box was taken across it. So many others.

Bigfred understand that not all bowing is worship as obtains in some countries & tradition. In Daniel 8:17 when d Angel Gabriel visited Daniel he fell to d ground, was that an act of worship? Even our accusers kneel before their bible or their general overseers pictures while praying. Instead of printing Christ's picture on their clothes they print those of their general overseers who is not even sure of going 2 heaven, and they are not accused of worshipping images.

Wisdom 16:5-11 gives more answer "who turned towards it was saved not by what he saw but by thee O! Lord d Saviour of d world". When we bow to an image we see and reason beyond d image just like d Israelites who were bitten by d venomous serpent were saved by looking beyond d bronze serpent that Mosed made.

Hmn, I read every post on this topic, but i decided to reply to this one. There's one thing i'd like to point out to you, all those scriptures you quoted were and are all in the Old Testament. That was then, but that's not to say that the Old Testament is still not relevant now, but you should know that Jesus came because of the New Testament. Infact, He is the New Testament. In the Old Testament, God spoke through the Priests and High Priests (which in my opinion, the Catholic Faith is still practicing) but when Jesus came, he said, "I am the way, the truth and the life, (with emphasis on), no man cometh unto the father except through me".

But when Catholics pray, they pray through Mary. I've heard so many Catholics pray and i've heard how they pray, "Mary, mother of God, pray for us". Does that mean that Catholics can't pray for themselves? If you believe that God is three persons in one, and you also believe that God has no mother then surely you must believe that Jesus Christ has no mother in the spiritual sense. Which goes on to show that "God is a spirit and those who must worship Him, must worship Him in spirit and in truth" and [b]not [/b]through His supposed mother's image.

When Jesus Christ came to this earth, he would have come in all His glory but He chose not to. Not because he couldn't but becuase He wanted to come to this earth in a lowly way. "Glory to Jesus, Honour to Mary", Why would you give honour to Mary? Why didn't Jesus Christ give honour to Mary while He was on earth the way Catholics are doing? If you say because He was still on earth, why didn't Peter, James, John, Paul and the other disciples give honour to Mary?

Now the post say, in part "All The Real Catholics Please Stand Up!". Who's the "Real Catholic"? The Roman Catholics or just the Catholics? From what i heard, the Catholic Faith is a subversion (pemit me to use that word) of the Roman Catholic Faith. From what i've said, i believe that you would realize that there's no where in the Bible wherein we were asked to bow before the images of either Jesus Christ and/or His mother. I hope all "Real Catholics" won't crusify me with one of their crusifix.

P.S: What were we even discussing or arguing about? "The Real Catholics" or "The Real Christians"? That's for everyone who posted in here, but especially to Oby1.
