RomanceRe: My Cousin Is Inlove With Me! by DrLorenz1(m): 11:28am On Sep 12, 2009
@topic
Something's deff fishy here. It seems like this cousin thing is getting to be the top topic in this romance section. I posted something like this sometime ago, and i recently saw another one with almost the same title. Now this young man is posting this.

@Poster
From the tone of the topic, it seems to me like you also noticed what i noticed and decided to take you best shot at it. U can't tell me you've not seen the other topics before you posted this one. To me, you're just another attention seeker, gbam! angry

It works both ways true. Though not all guys do. I for one, don't. A freaky girl will always be devious and what's the use of that, except if i want to be devious too?

I could kiss you for the last line. May ur eyes always be ebony wink. Am not saying am boring or predictable, but i do have my moments grin. What others may call boring and predictable sometimes actually translates to level-headed and focused.
RomanceRe: Girls, What Happened To Loving A Man Without Putting Money First? by DrLorenz1(op): 5:42pm On Sep 09, 2009
Nobody's going to crucify you for baring your mind, even though that's what NLders know how to do most!!

To answer your question? What happened to loving a man without putting money first?

Women still do that!! When they think the man's sincere. These days a guy tells me he likes me and I take a second look at myself to know if I'm wearing something revealing. Guys say one thing and mean the other. A guy approaches you with all sincerity and just when you decide to give him that chance, he shows you what he's really after . . sex!!

Now I'm not saying guys no longer go for ladies they really like or want something real from, but it's all come down to a 'How fast can I get her to bed' game!!

Most ladies have since learnt from experience that even that guy you think really loves you, and who you've decided to love back with all your heart, often turn out to be just like the other guys. So when a girl's going into a relationship, she's counting her losses from day 1 . . . .

First highlighted: these days, girls think all guys are not serious, so when they meet the serious ones, they don't know. Some bad ones has made things bad for the good ones.

Second highlighted: that explains my first point; they don't know the serious ones from the unserious ones again.

Third highlighted: not all guys! For me, as a rule, i try to be as close to a girl without having a relationship. That's not because i don't want to, but because more often than not, most girls think the same thing: "He's looking for sex". Having said that, i'll like to say that if i see (and that includes categorically, like) a girl, sex is the least thing on my mind. Inasmuch as that would be difficult to believe, it's the truth. I believe that there's more to a relationship than sex.

Fourth highlighted: don't you think that's because you didn't really know he didn't love you initially? I guess that goes on to show one more time, that the good girls meet the bad guys and vice versa.

What happened to guys getting to know a girl before wanting to jump her boneshuh [s]You all want to get laid yet you dont want to spend money.[/s] If you want to be a womaniser you need to be generous not necessary lavish, show appreciation. And please enough with the flowers,
That's what am talking about, but it seems like most girls think there aren't guys who doens't think that way. For the "crossed section", i guess that applies to womanisers, cus it deff doesn't apply to me.

davidylan:
I see women going "all a man wants is sex" and i wonder whether women themselves dont want the sex.  grin Get into the relationship proper and you'll be the one begging for a good night's rest without all the "hold me here, do something now".

There are still women out there who will love a man without putting money first but i must be entirely honest, if my sister or cousin came to ask me whether she shld marry a dude, i will ask her if the guy has the potential to be financially secure (doesnt have to be rich). What's the use living a life of permanent pnury stuck with a man who doesnt see providing for you as a responsibility . . . now that you can choose do so wisely but not greedily. In marriage there is no second chance.
U got that one right, but what is the ratio to those that wouldn't? You would agree with me that it's on a ratio of 1:100 or even 1:1000. Having said that, i'd like to be clear on my post just incase there are some misunderstandings.

I do realize that money is neccessary, even for the guy. What i really mean is that money shouldn't be the determining factor for a girl to love a guy.

For the second highlighted text, do you really think it applies to the females these days? If so, why are the divorce rates going up every day with most of the reasons being infidelity?

RomanceGirls, What Happened To Loving A Man Without Putting Money First? by DrLorenz1(op): 1:38pm On Sep 04, 2009
This one's for the females in here and all over the world.

I've always wondered what happened to the times when women loved men without thinking of money and other things first. These days, it seems that even that doesn't work any more. This is because no matter what the guys give to the girls, they always seem to be looking out for someone who has it more.

In the same vein, they (the female folks) complain so much about guys being all sorts of things, forgetting that "for every action, there's an opposite but opposite reaction" grin. The action being they value money more than love, and the reaction being that the guys value what the money can give grin grin

So once again, i ask: What happened to loving a guy without putting the money first?

I know most people (guys and girls alike) will crucify me on what i've said, but i know that y'all know that what i've said is not entirely false, neither is it stupid grin grin

Ur humble comments are welcome. No matter what you say, we're cool

Although he plays for Chelsea, if you were to ask him, he'll still say his fav team is Man U, that i can certainly say! It's like saying one would love to work in an oil company and finds himself in a bank. That doesn't mean he won't want to work in a bank if given the chance, nuff said about that!

Why's y'all still whining and whinnying about the match? The game's been played, and it was won by MAN U simple as that. If anyone's saying that Rooney dived, then that means that Eduardo dived too in their match against Celtic. tongue Lets wait and see if Rooney'd still be given a 2-match ban undecided

Whether some of you hate Premier League and UEFA or not, EPL is still a must-win league and someone wants to win it. EUFA is a governing body and are going to be, sorry o grin grin

As per Eduardy, i told a fanatical fan of Arsenal that that was diving, and his response was "that's what he was bought for". Meaning he knew how to create a foul, whether it was by diving in a very stylish form or not grin

Anyway, enuff talking, e don happen like P-Square sang,

@Nezed Okay now i understand you. It can't be acted upon. Like we both (all) know, we can't control our feelings all the time, and anything could happen.

What if the girl in question finds out that she feels the same way, even if a little? That question is for the females here, put yourselves in the girl's shoes and ask yourself the question. What would you do?

There's one more thing i didn't say, this girl in question, i've talked to her often times when she calls my friend and am afraid that if she gets to know how he feels, she just might be tempted considering that she likes him too, but not as much as he does her.

Wow. Just yesterday, i was walking along the road when i thought about this same thing,

First of all, y am i not surprised that its a female asking the question lol. Secondly, having a fantasy doesn't always mean getting reality, shit happens but we pray that it's the good ones  grin.

Personally, i believe it's not about how big or small a wedding is, but how big the marriage is. Not everyone who has a big wedding end up having an big marriage with love, happiness and the rest of the perks that is neccessary. But of course, these days it seems like love = money for most people whether the wedding is big or small.  grin

FamilyIs It Wrong To Have Such Feelings? by DrLorenz1(op): 10:47am On Aug 21, 2009
Hello NLders,

There's something that has been bothering me for quite a while and i wanted to share it here. I have a friend who's quite close to me and we go way back. He once told me about a cousin of his whom he said he likes very much. Initially, i thought it was just the normal family thing. Recently though, he's been talking so much about this cousin of his, that i began to suspect something else.

At a point i decided to 'confront' him about the issue and he opened up to me that he's 'noticed' that his feelings has always been much more than what he thought. Although he didn't exactly say it, but i believe he's really in love with her. Before anyone starts condemning or commending him or his feelings, let me explain something.

This cousin of his is actually what some people will want to call 'Step cousin'. I don't know if such a word exists though. Anyway, the girl in question is a daughter to his mum's step-sister. His mum and the aunt share the same mum, but different fathers. I guess we can all do the 'calculation' lol.

Personally, i've tried talking to a few of our friends, but most of them think that there's nothing really wrong with it. I decided to bring up the issue in here since there'll be diverse opinions and hopefully, mature comments. There's one more thing though, the girl doesn't know or suspects anything, so they haven't done anything.
FamilyRe: Can You Get Married To Your Cousin? by DrLorenz1(m): 1:16pm On Jul 15, 2009
That's an absurd question. Y would you marry your cousin? Only thing i can say is that the guy should go ahead and marry her and tell us wat happened after, then we can talk about it grin grin

Let me put another twist to the poster's question,

If you had a cousin who's mum is ur mum's step-sister. What does that make her? A step-cousin? If so, can you marry her if you're in love with her?
FamilyRe: Why Do Girls Date Married Men by DrLorenz1(m): 12:26pm On Jul 15, 2009
They do it for so many reasons, and none of them excusable. One thing they forget is that at the end of the day, the married man might not get married to them. When that happens, they'll try to attach to one innocent good guy. If that doesn't happen, then e don be for them grin grin grin, nonsense!

PoliticsRe: MEND Attacks Lagos by DrLorenz1(m): 6:30pm On Jul 14, 2009
CGKing:
Oil is not a curse, it is a blessing, after all it is blessing other countries. Why is Nigeria so different. The African way of thinking is THE CURSE.

Meanwhile the world powers are gearing up together in haste to reduce global warming. Key among their agenda is the reduction of the world's dependence on oil. Electric bicycles have been produced. Electric cars are months away from introduction.

Nigeria hasnt begun to feel the bite yet. We will all wake up one day and find that all those hassles over fuel were for nothing. MEND will BEND that day.
grin grin grin grin

When that day come eh, dem go remember am!  grin grin grin

Beaf:
Do the f.ucking refineries in Warri and PH even work? No! They're just symbols of failure; which have resulted in "lovers of Nigeria" building deports to import fuel whereas we are a major oil producing country.
Whats the point in bombing skeletons?
I tire o. Most people are talking about MEND doing what they are doing because they want a better life for "Niger Delta". If one should ask them who are Niger Deltans, they'll tell you that it's the (Ijaws), yet if we're to go geography, the Niger Delta consists of more than 5 states.

While am not entirely saying that they're doing wrong by wanting a better life for themselves, what they're doing is intepreted to be nothing but rebel actions. The money they get from kidnapping, what do they do with it? Do they try to give their people a better life? No. U see them buy expensive cars, build house etc etc.

At the end of the day, they're only fighting for themselves. I tell a friend of mine who's in support of the kidnappings (who also is an Ijaw) that when things become good, they'll start fighting themselves and their 'leaders' then.

And for those of you who are talking about tribal sentiments and all, i don't think it has anything to do with the original post.

shoboy9:
Very Unfortunate.
Mend obviously considers Lagos a 'soft target".
so we may expect more attacks in future.
Unless they are "taught a lesson".
in other words, effective deterrent.
But OPC is too disorganised to do anything of such.
So more attacks to come,
Wat does OPC have to do with this?

naijaking1:
Let the truth be told grin
Everything in Nigeria is mostly about tribe, that's the way it's been from the time of Awo/Zik/Saduana, till this time; haven't you heard about the various meetings to protect the interest of the north? the south west and south east? Everything is about tribe. MEND is about tribe too. If the eastern Nigeria was not seen as being too divided, weak, and disorganized how could people come from the north and the west to rape the environment in the name oil extraction?
It's all about tribe, let's just admit it.
@bolded, MASSOB is about tribe, not MEND. Seems u don't understand acronyms  grin
