People who say he isnt educated,huhhuhhuh.you can go to the university get a degree,and still be uneducated.
as as artiste i respect him,esp his use of language and his rhyming skills,
eg, for instance, theygive chance, go france,
correct rhymes,it takes an artiste not a musician to come up with such harmony,
playa hatas, follow the crowd
No offence mamzelle, but what do you know about rhymes? If you want to know about rhymes, please meet the real rappers. Am not saying he can't rap, but there are those who actually spit rhymes like dragons spit fire. So rhymes is not an issue in this argument. Having said that, we cool right? grin

@LL Velly
Not to diss u or anything but did he pay you? While am not saying he's a bad person, 2face is the last person every upcoming artiste wants 2 be like. Have you forgotten "Originality"? That's the key word man. Even Missy E said it when she said "Originality is glaring/My own style and i aint sharing". Its like nobody don call you for about 3 months now so u dey find person to call you abi? lol *shakes head*.

EducationRe: Why Is The English Language Skill Of Nigerian Graduate So Appalling? by DrLorenz1(m): 4:34pm On Jun 25, 2009
Very interesting replies i must say. Most of you are saying that the English Language is not your mother tongue. You forget that:

1. When going to countries that speak English as their first language, one of the requirements of entering is that you speak and communicate in English fluently.

2. When applying for admission in an English speaking country they ask if the language of instruction was in English. If not, then you should translate it. And when you get there, if you can't speak English, you have to take a course for it (which is more money for them).

3. Nigeria is a multilingual country, hence no language can be called "The Mother Tongue". Except of course you want to divide the nation. So when arguing about whether China speaks English and stuff, remember that they only speak one or two languages at the most. Even at that, they can still understand each other.

4. If you still think that English Language is not a good thing, why don't you write a book on your local language and sell it on the international market?

To mention a few,

Now to my own post  grin

It was obvious that the poster made some few mistakes. I think that goes to show that nobody is perfect. Nevertheless, the truth remains that whereas a little error will be overlooked in assessment, much will not be so lucky. This goes on to show that most of you criticizing him has more errors in your criticisms than he did on his post.

True our PUBLIC Educational institutions have been on the decline for several reasons but to label it in its entiety as "APPALLING" is a hugely exaggerated statement.

^
I agree with you because I believe that a student shouldn't rely entirely on the teachers, instructors, parents or lecturers etc. Reading is still the best. I once helped a graduate edit her CV and after putting some words, the next thing she asked me was "What did you read in the university?".

Having said all that, I've met people (Americans, Britons etc) who are surprised that I speak, write and communicate in English well. A few has even asked me if I write books. Come to think of it, I haven't been to the University yet  lipsrsealed. Who do i blame for knowing how to speak English? huh

Music BusinessRe: 2face Booed Off Stage by DrLorenz1(m): 2:08pm On Jun 22, 2009
Truth about the matter is that the music industry in Nigeria is changing and as an artiste one has to follow the trend. If you can't do that, then its bye bye to your career. Past glories don't always help. Tu face is a talented singer, no doubt about that, but if he can follow the trend, then he can come back. Although to me, i think he does when he's featured in a song. Perhaps he shld stick to that grin.

thats y as a Nigerian musician one should begin to diversify trynna do something else during your hay days
cos they young guys keep coming and with a society has not yet broken the hold of piracy
der will be tough days if they are good they'd come back strong

PoliticsRe: Umaru Yar’adua Regime Launches $5 Million Online War by DrLorenz1(m): 3:45pm On Jun 19, 2009
@post

However true or false it may be, there're some things to consider,

1. The original post said that top sources of the federal government told saharareport.com that it is one of the major news agency being targeted. If that is true, i don't seriously think that they'd be told of a move like that. Even if they did, are they the only ones saying things about Nigeria? No!. Y didn't the said sources in the federal government tell other major news agency that they were on the list? I wonder,

2. Forums and blogs have been talking about the fed. government for years. If the fed. government wanted to shut them down, don't you think they'd have done so before now. They don't have to declare a so-called war before doing that.

3. This so-called online war is not starting now. It has been on and will always be on regardless of watever is said or done.

@debosky
I agree with you totally. I wonder why sahara will get a report and no other newpaper company in Nigeria has. I know i haven't seen it in any one before. grin

@most of you wannabe online soldiers
Blogs don't kill, talks don't maim so even if the story is true, you can't and will not be able to do the so called "faceless" bloggers anything. grin grin

RomanceRe: My Boss Gives Me All The Wrong Signs by DrLorenz1(m): 1:24pm On Jun 13, 2009
My advice to you allcorrect is to take things the way they are. I understand what you're going through, but i must say that not all signs are really signs. Personally, am friends with so many women like your boss, but that's just it.

They're so close to me that someone might think there's something else going on. U just might have a listening ear which is what she likes or it could be as izeek says that she's trying to be nice after being hard and difficult.

Whichever way it is, just let things slide. Pretend you're not noticing her reactions and the so-called signs. If she wants something more than friendship, she's always tell you at the long run, but if not, you've got absolutely nothing to lose. If you jump to conclusions, then all will not be correct anymore grin grin.

Bon chance amigo,

kamura:
Thanks all, am 31. I wrongly typed in 1978 instead of 1975. Thou it has been modified.

Beside my elder brother and kid sister, no one else in the family knows yet. Even those abroad called a forthnight asking about the new development on the wedding proper.

I dont know how to go about telling them. Am in a fixed. I know my family, they might take it a 'lil far.

This is one area where they come out real strong and determined. Initially i told them she is currently running a programme outside the country, but they waived it aside, saying 'she does not need to be around for the preparations'.

I guess it over between me and her, but i dont think its over between me and my family. They need to know the truth.

Oh God!! my mother, she will cry so much for her, she loves her so dearly.

As the clock tick, i get so worried sad
Reading that, i think u have a very cool family. It shows that u stand up for each other. Unlike other families that will just say "Take heart, that's how women are" or "U were too blind to see what she was planning all along (is that why they say love is blind? wink" etc etc. U just have to forget her and move on with your life.

One thing i believe is that she'll always get what she deserves. The guy she's getting married to might even treat her worse than what she did to you. Which of course wont be a bad thing at all.

Plain truth is, nice guys are never taken seriously. When a case like this is turned around, the whole world will say guys are bad, guys are terrible, guys are beasts et al. But when it's a man's case, its "Take heart". Anyway, u have to tell your family, even if they take things a lil too far. It doesn't concern you then cus its what family's all about.

If i were to be in your shoes (am not saying i want to), i'll just forget her in a flash. My rule is, if a woman loves you, love her in return. If she doesn't, forget her in a flash!

As to your questions, i think you alone can answer them, just replay your relationship all over again and you'll know why. All the best amigo,

FamilyRe: Guys Would Like Ur Wife To Be Tattooed. by DrLorenz1(m): 3:24pm On Jun 10, 2009
Some very interesting replies i must say. I've deliberately stayed out of this topic for so long but today i've decided to say a thing or two.

Truth is, most people have diff reasons for having a tattoo. Some do it because its fashionable, others do it cus people do it. I'm sure many others decided to have one after hearing Faze's Tattoo Girls.

For those that say Tattoo is an art work, i'll say this: Y don't they tattoo clothes on their body and walk naked? After all, there are tattoos that can be removed grin. Whatever the reason, i only wonder what it'll look like when that woman becomes old. I don't think females with tattoo have ever thought of that.

For those whose hubbies like them, it's fine. There's a question though, can dlox01 tell me if tribal marks are still given to children these days? If no, then can he/she say that it's modernization? Or prolly civilization?

Personally, i don't think i'd want to marry a tattooed woman whether the tattoo is my name or not. Even if it's somewhere only me can see, it still doesn't make any sense since i don't think i'll be busy looking at that place all the time. I don't think she'll get one after i get married to her because before i get married to her i'll let her know i don't like tattoos.

Christianity EtcRe: Could It Really Be That A Person Can Be Born Gay? by DrLorenz1(m): 6:24pm On Jun 05, 2009
porka:
i don't have problem with the argument about human degeneracy. human nature is weak, it is easily influenced by anything. for instance, a child raised in sierra leone during the war may not have scruples carrying an ak47. if he becomes a killer it means he's been influenced by seeing people killed everyday. the same way folks who went to mixed schools would find it funny when they see gays.
I've seen a Sierra Leonean, who's afraid of guns, even though he saw death face to face.  As for people who went to mixed school finding it funny when they see gays is true because most girls that go to an only girls school get to learn lesbianism there. I've seen proof cus one of such schools is very close to where i live and i've met their students who are lesbians. The same goes for the ones that went to an all boys school.

In the same vein, the saying that curiousity is what killed the cat is true too. Sometimes, wanting to understand their "dilenma" often leads to being "affected" with the "so-called" gene. I know of a friend's uncle who is not an homosexual. He told me that he wasn't always like that. He became that way because he wanted to know what homosexuality is all about. He later got to find out that the more he asked, the more he found himself becoming one. He actually told me not to ask. Of course i never asked and i ran away from him since that day, especially when he started making some moves.
Christianity EtcRe: Could It Really Be That A Person Can Be Born Gay? by DrLorenz1(m): 1:26pm On Jun 05, 2009
"I as an atheist, " sad. Then what are you doing commenting? If you didnt read the beginning, the poster said it's for Christians.

@huxley
If you're gay, then what exactly is your opinion? That being gay is right or its possible to be born gay? Whichever case, this thread wasn't posted so as to highlight the rights of gays, just incase that's your underlying motive huh
Christianity EtcRe: Could It Really Be That A Person Can Be Born Gay? by DrLorenz1(m): 1:08pm On Jun 05, 2009
Very very interesting replies i must say. There's a question i want to ask, Is the poster gay? Or perhaps know someone very close who is? I know she said the post is for Christians, but i just can't help asking,

@mccloud
I don't think ur argument with audio will end from the way things are going, grin. Me thinks that although he says he's a Christian, he just might have those tendencies earlier talked about at the beginning  wink.

@honeric
Even if you do hate them, i don't think it's that bad, although hating their sins is better  grin. If God hates sin and its already proven that homosexuality is a sin, then y can't you or anybody else who follows what God says can't hate it? Are we greater than God?

@audio
Jesus said "love your neighbour as yourself" agreed. If there wasn't the Old Testament, there wouldn't have been the New. So ur not basing your beliefs in the Old Testament is like saying your belief is half-based. In the Bible, God didn't specify which part of the Bible is His word. He said the Bible is His word.

Oh one more thing Audio, i see why you're having that argument, u didn't read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah  grin. If God was angry with them, do you think He's not angry with this generation of "PEI (Psycho-emotional Disorder)? Jesus came to die for our sins, not to pave the way for us to add more,

Very interesting replies i must say.

For me though, i don't think i can cry, not because of ego or anything, but simply because i'm not the crying type. I'm emotional as a human, but not to the crying extent. There are ways to show that you feel things. You don't cry, doesn't mean you don't feel.

If i can cry in front of my gf,
No! I mean, i don't think there'll be any reason for me to do that. Not even if she hurts me. Such things happen everyday, why would i cry because of that? After all, its not like the we guys don't do the same to girls grin grin
