I'm quite surprised at your question. I thought all (99.9%) girls have a standard criteria they look out for when considering marrying a man. What happened to:

Surely, one of them must fit 99% of that description.

Girl, from my own point of view, i don't think you really did anything wrong by your action. As a guy, i wouldn't want to do what he's doing. I believe that if he calls you sometimes just because he wants to hear your voice, or just want to talk to you, you wouldn't need to think twice before you assist him.

But like i always say, for every action, there's a million and one reasons. There must be a reason(s) why he's behaving the way he's behaving. Try to see from many different perspectives why he's acting the way he is. Hopefully, you'll better understand how to handle the situation.
