Debsify: what if one has a good job in 9ja and it's a rotation job of 28/28 days? I think the person probably the man can spend his time off with his family in Canada and still maintain his PR status. Not cost effective |

clock89: There are other factors at play here; age, education, etc. he needs to meet the MEC (67) for FSW to be eligible. I know. What he said is that 1yr working experience DOESN'T work pre-ITA |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by DrMrsCK: 7:48pm On Nov 21, 2018 |
Topsmamen: As far as i know, no, it is not enough pre-ITA. After you get ITA, you can modify the work history section to include a 1-year experience (say, NYSC for example) and move the rest of your work history under the Personal history section so you would not have to provide references from all your places of employment. I think this is wrong cos it is clearly stated that a minimum of 1 year continuous paid work is a requirement on the CIC website. And a few weeks ago, someone here got PPR with 1yr housemanship |

Obi1conte: Hello People So as announced today the planning for Canada IOM group orientation held its last session ever today world wide. The remaining sessions for the year will be conducted online before ALL will stop in December. Apparently the Canadian government is directing resources to the "asylum issue". Future sessions would be directed to countries with the highest immigrants to Canada- India, China and the Philippines. How are we supposed to plan for Canada then? |

DBJay: A not so silent reader here (Had to get a new moniker to avoid the village people in my office)
MY PPR STORY
Started the journey in may 2018 when a friend told me to give it a shot.
Registered immediately for IELTS & WES Evaluation, then went straight to page 1 of part 4 to digest all the info relevant to this journey.
June 2 IELTS July 27 ECA August 8 ITA August 23 AOR September 20 MEP/BIL November 14th PPR (Didn't see it until yesterday 'cos my phone was bad)
I've been amazed at the ease of my application & I owe a debt of gratitude to everyone who has walked this journey before me and were thoughtful enough to share their experiences on this thread. May God bless & reward you all.
This journey has been a breeze and the only hiccup I almost had was when I woke up late on the day of my tests (story for another day).
The last two years of my life have been traumatizing on a personal and professional level and I see this as God's way of giving me a new beginning and a fresh start which I'm grabbing with both hands.
For everyone here going through stuff you can't talk about, your testimony is just around the corner. Don't give up! It will end in praise.
And in the words of one of my favorite monikers here (una plenty o)...
Je m'appelle PPR!!! This is really express entry. Congratulations!!! |

cocococo: Must everybody go to Canada? The craze is becoming too much. Canada, Canada, Canada! Some people will be writing IELTS up to 10 times all in the name of I must leave this country! The ones that manage to pass will run here and be saying, ‘Thank God I finally made it!’. While those that finally get the PPR will not let us hear word, be quoting different dates of the stages, like I care! You guys are the ones making these developed countries look down on us! IELTS is making the standard of exam more difficult day be day, WES is adding WAEC for ECA, IRCC is increasing minimum POF and cost of application fee! But we are still patronizing them, pumping the money into their economy! By the time you reach there with all the funds you are taking into Canada, you have pumped so much money into a foreign country, money that you cannot generate and send back into your own country Nigeria from where the funds came out from, thus depleting our country of resources. It is well with you my sister/brother. Don't give up yet. I know today's result may not have been favourable but in the end you will smile. |

Anyways, I'm expecting some PPR announcements tomorrow. All the PPR 'rains' we've had happened on Tuesday mornings. My theory is; the VOs come to work on Monday well rested from a weekend of eating, sleeping and bow-chica-waw-waw In their good mood, they release the prisoners What is MAP? |
