This statement is so naive, so it's the USA that doesn't pay attention? When it comes to standards, you can't compare any other country to the United States.
My brother u miss my point.. There is level to this sh#t .. All am saying is that when it comes to technology Japan is way ahead of everyone else, am not saying others don't have standard or USA don't have standard....

Pardon my ignorance, been wanting to know, which market is this civic? I know european, US and asian
Picture below is USA spec ... I see it a lot, very popular, over popular self.. Some cars are speficially built in Japan for export only not for Japanese market ....

European civic tend to have a hatch back built shape.. The difference is clear...

Ps .. If you need more information, Google is ur friend there is no charge for it ... grin

The bolded, I've asked is there any technical difference or otherwise between US civic and Asian markets? I'm yet to get a definite reply
I have no business with Asian civics, am based in the USA and I export from the USA ... the only advantage is the civic build in Japan will tend to be stronger than the ones assembled in Canada or the USA .....

Example 2008 Rav4 was built in Japan for the USA market.. Those rav4 at the auction are ridiculously expensive due to their engine, especially their v6 ......I

Since they are mostly getting the cars brand new, they will have saved more than the cost of hybrid lbattery from the fuel, unlike in Nigeria when the hybrid battery might be on its last month's before being shipped.
It actually takes years for you to save the cost of fuel by using Prius, whether it is worth it or not is up to the individual.. Personally I dont like hybrid cars

TLDR, cost of parts alone isn't cost of maintenance. Some cars were designed by Satan himself and something that should take 20 minutes will take 4 hours. So you have to factor in costs of parts, amount of time repairs take, lost business during that time and how often the part breaks into maintenance costs. Your time is extremely valuable too!.

How often you change the mondeo hub I doubt is the same as the Corolla. Not saying it's bad, just saying like I always do to know all the caveats. I know little about the mondeo which is why I didn't say anything about it.
Ford Mondeo is marketed in Europe and it is called Ford Fusion in the USA. Same car with different name...

According to online reviews.. Fusion is actually a good car ,with excellent fuel mileage and strong.. Truth to be told the old model are ugly a*s f#ck .. Newer generation has more of a sporty look ...Ford cars lacks creativity at times.......

That's the machine breakdown and maintenance we are talking about. Frequency of breakdown is the bone of contention here.

Last I checked, a toks pair of corolla wheel hubs, cost over 28k naira.
But a ford Mondeo's hub is a paltry 8k tongue

On a serious note though, I agree one should look for cheap car to maximize returns but in my opinion/experience those cars are cheap up front but expensive down the road (A). The converse is expensive upfront but cheap down the road (B). The perfect car is in the middle C. None is necessarily bad and may suite different people. Personally if I drive for a living I want a B or C. Bear in mind I don't know street value of a lot of these in Nigeria so I'm going off street value in the US and through the eyes of mechanics. Adjust perception accordingly. Some of the As might be Ds in Nigeria (expensive upfront AND down the road).

A Volkswagen Jetta 1.8L
C Nissan Sentra 2.0L
A Hyundai Accent 1.6L
A Kia Rio 1.6L
C Honda city 1.3L
A Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6L
A Ford Focus 1.6L
A Hyundai xcent 1.3L
B Hyundai Elantra 1.6/2.0L

EDIT: let me add to the list
B Toyota Corolla
C Honda Civic
B Honda Accord
C toyota matrix
C toyota echo
We talking about cars for ehailing .. That is rugged ,fuel efficiency, availability of parts etc I don't know about Honda Accord o

Free money yes.

It nauseating how she totally knocked JP because she wanted to hijack it and make it all about herself. Anyone is free to do whatever. Don't demean people who post earnings because they didn't post expenditure. Simple.

Expenditure is not her business

You try so hard that you actually come across as a dumb person, even when you aren't trying.

What argument am I losing and to which logic? Logic that demands an explanation as to how dashboard money is spent unless it is deemed as misleading? Now your only response is to think "you and japa are never in the same place at the same time" therefore, we must be on and same person? Why is your brain capability so limited?

_fuck you and your 50k. I never needed your money and never told you I did. So stop making this about money. Your reasoning is warped. I will always remind you at any opportunity I get.

Good day to you too.
They way I look it from a different angle.. This is free money for people to win.. Just try and win based on terms and conditions chop money clean mouth and take home 70k naira ...

My point is the most common cars used are Japanese cars.... Corolla, Prius, camry ... The company that leases cars for uber drivers uses mainly Japanese cars .. Rental car company like Aveis ,budget uses Japanese cars.. Majority of them have Japanese cars in their fleet......

If everyone goes by this your analogy, who do you expect to buy your naija-used Uber cars?
Or will you crush them cheesy

Importers ship in cars that they will sell ASAP. Doesn't mean other cars are bad. But cos of the Nigerian terrain and demand.

In Neighboring Ghana, they use lpg+ petrol cars. Not the almighty corollas or Toyota's. Does it mean those cars are not good? It's just what people have accepted and importers, being business men, roll with the flow.

If you talked about landrover freelander, I will agree. Cos that car was produced by the devil.
We talking about cars for uber sir, to have a machine that will ran non-stop all day ,my brother no be beans.....

Let me ask you question sir , in the USA why type of cars do you think people use to do uber ? Nigerians are not the only people doing uber job in the USA ,

lol. People have used them and succeeded.
A car will forever remain a machine.
Guess what, every machine will breakdown and need overhauling.

Even humans breakdown, talk more of their creations.

Now, about frequency of breakdown, It depends on the handler of the machine.

You don't expect the driver going to ikorodu, satellite town, iyana-iba, agbarange, sango-ota, e.t.c not to have frequent breakdowns.
Or the driver that spends over 12hours daily operating the machine and expect it not to breakdown.
Or the driver that converts his car to a boat during rainy days cheesy.
Machine pass machine bro...... example bro .. Machine made in Japan will tend to last longer than most machine made in the USA or any other competing countries grin

Yes you should have stayed out of it. It's not always about you.

You need to understand that everyone has a right to spend their money how they deem fit. You're not entitled to see anyone's weekly expenditure or as you put it, correct narrative of driver earnings because, no driver spends money the same.

Simple question. Who earned highest? You don't need to see how I spent the 150k I made on my dashboard to believe I earned 150k. What's that all about?
True...

Now, cost of parts is relative.

People will not bring in cars that people will not buy... And parts can be expensive.... God help if you decide to buy naija used.. You are definitely on your own be dat grin.....
