Which would you prefer?
You refuse to disclose your destination,
I drive to pick-up location,
You hop in,
I ask for your destination before starting the trip,
You tell me,
I don't like the area (e.g Satellite town, Apapa, Ikorodu, Lakowe, Akute, Ajamgbadi, Mowe e.t.c)
I politely ask you to request another ride.
I cash out #400.

Spanned to be paid at 30k weekly for 2years.
I checked and the car is in good toks condition.
Should I go for it or does anyone has any alternative to HP?

Owner services the vehicle under rental, driver does under hire purchase.
You should look at between 25-35k.

No argument on this one.. got to be the I4 unless u want to spend all ur earnings on fuel and maintenance. Or better still a civic for maximum earnings. Now I know the rated mpg for the 4 cyl vs 6cl are 21 city/31 highway for the I4 and 19 city/28 highway for the V6. This might not sound like a big deal for some, but I have my reasons.

The I4 do not only has better gas mileage but costs less to maintain over a long period. It has just 1 catalytic converter and 2 02 sensors. The V6 on the other hand has 3 catalytic converters and 4 02 sensors. That is more things to worry about for an uber car. If one of the 02 sensor fails u are going to get very bad fuel economy. Then u have to worry about 3 catalytic converters instead of 1. and trust honda, when the catalyst gets blocked it will lead to loss of power and might knock the engine if not rectified quickly. I have used 4 different Hondas over 8 years. Personally I always prefer a V6 over I4, my current car is V6 (Honda product), but I won't use it for Uber.

@dru23, there's one, I won at a bid during asset disposal, mileage is 63000. The Odo meter still shows when the ignition is off, is it normal? Also the ac is blowing only fan and I saw some gas stains around the compressor. Could it be only compressor leakage or evaporator inclusive?

problem is the one in nigerian isn't for the one with high mileage. this one is 2 different kegs even. those ones are just the normal mobil 1. if you know where I can buy here I'm down to buy. as for the 10$ shipping fee. That's 3100 right?

You know I've always shared this sentiment, but people don't seem to understand my point of view.

This same thing came to bare recently. A colleague bought a car of over 1.7m, toks. This is after a thorough review, overview, checking of several cars (toks). You realise most cars are accidented, flooded. Right there at tin can, engines were opened and repaired, parts replaced and repainted. I wonder, what then is the fuzz about toks?

At the end, we found one that seemed OK. Never knew Tokunbo cars have wahala until this journey to Tin can and Berger Suya.

Do you know this colleague still spent over N200k on this car at least to bring it to a level of pristine?

Why not buy a professionally inspected Nigerian used car, and upgrade to taste. At least you will know what is being put inside.

At the end of the day, you realise, Toks is also a USED car! I have seen Nigerians maintain cars appropriately. Would I buy a Nigerian used car from Gazzuzz, for example, and say it won't be better than most Toks cars?
