Felicity001:On the bolded part...... If by an chance the car manufacture felt that the Automatic compressor was a failure on their cars . by now am sure they would have switch over to manual compressor... Now some of these cars that were using Automatic from 2004 till date , would have switch over to manual compressor by now....... Mr. Man you are not an engineer at all . The car manufacture or engineer spend years and years going to school to master their graft....... This is like calling a doctor to come fix my car and vice versa this is like calling a mechanic to deliver a baby.. Different skill sets........... |
Felicity001:1. Below is the Hyundai that I sold. I sold it on nairaland. It had no issues at all . They buyer is a frequent reader on my post. When the buyer came he saw the car and he bought without much questions. He stated that he knows that I take care of my cars... And I told the buyer to always use the correct oil and use coolant at all times........ This is when I was moving fully to Honda civic cars........ **** buyer that bought this ELANTRA****** feel free to comment if you are reading........... 2. The oil part... Keep in mind we have same weather type in Nigeria in the USA. Texas, Las Vegas, Florida etc . Oil manufacture take into account weather, Terrain conditions before making cars or oil ........it is imperative that car owners follow manufacture advice all the time. Most engine oil are multi grade oil . meaning these oil can lubricate in either extreme tempt or very cold tempt. They are design for that purpose. Regardless thicker oil will not lubricate faster enough at start up like the recommend oil. Thicker oil will have to get to enough operating temperature to able to lubricate enough. Thinner oil or oil that is recommended by the manufacture takes less time . takes few seconds to lubricate moving parts of the engine...... Kindly follow owners manual on oil weight...... 3. The reason why most people a/c compressor don't last long . This is because most gas used in Nigeria are either fake , or are not 134Ra . Your car specify what type of gas is needed . Just like engine oil , people will ignore owner manual and use something cheaper. This why u have people converting Automatic compressor to manual etc ......... Yes 6k naira might seem expensive for a/c freon. But you save money and headache in the long. The local ac gas that cost 3k naira . do you know how many times you will have to top the gas each year . some top theirs at least 3 times or more. Than are u really saving money ? When using the manufacture recommended freon that cost 6k naira. A good a/c. Tech will vacuum and clean out all the dirt and oil from the compressor. By doing this the new freon will not be contaminated. By following these rules your 6k naira freon should last you few years or at least 1 year......... This new freon that I do sell . it is called self sealing. The old types once the are open you will have to use it all whether u need the whole can or not . The ones I have are self sealing device. Meaning you only use what u need and still save the rest for another time. This method was develop to safe the ozone from gassing it up and populating it .

Felicity001:It is well known fact . camry v4 2007 to 2009 shorts oil . This is a factory defect .. The v6 model does not short oil at all .. The v6 is even a stronger engine. Toyota had to pay huge fine for that . customers were told to go Toyota to fix the issues. Or better yet were told to use a thicker oil ...... Since your friend is using 20w50 Mobil xhp .. This is what I use for my generator . 20w50 is very thick and most wears occurs on start up of engine. Meaning that if the oil is too thick , it will not circulate well enough to lubricate the moving parts of the engine. Or better yet if your friend decides to wait few minutes to have the thick oil circulate enough before he drives off. But that will be counter productive. For the fact you are burning and wasting fuel . And it is not good to have your car idle for too long. Idling your car every morning wears down the car in the long run, it is not different from been stuck in traffic for hours. Since that his 07 camry loves to short oil . it means he will constantly have to be checking the oil gauge and continue topping the oil. It will now get to a point that he will be using 1liter of oil every 100 miles. Mobil xhp 4liters is now 8500 to 9k now. And eventually there will be no sense in topping the oil anymore. The engine will eventually freeze and God forbid it freezes on a highway while he is trying to do James Bond 007 and over take an 18wheeler tanker truck. I know that boy loves speed I don't wish death on anyone . but am just saying......I will advice Mr. Bazz001 not to carry his low mileage camry outside Lagos for a 2hr trip.. And if he does he should make sure he carries enough Mobil xhp at least 4 gallons driving long distance on a normal car burns oil . talk less of a low MILEAGE camry that comes with a factory defect that shorts oil...........When push comes to shove none of you will be there to help him .. Most of you that are supporting and "liking" is antics here can barely support yourself. From there he will know who are his real friends.....

Rumundele:Lack of maintenance......don't blame the car, blame the owner..... On the Benz thread a new car owner was complaining that his TOKUNBO Benz was making weird noises after oil change . She stated that the car was not like that before. And the mechanic use 20w50 oil on a 2013 Benz ........ So plz don't blame the car |
justifiedcoyy:I hope you are using the recommended Transmissions fluid for it ..... The engine can take abuse, but the transmission will not tolerate it . it will end in premium tears.. Below is the recommended ATF Since I don't want you to waste your hard earn money by telling you to replace the transmission. The issue you are having might just be simple .... It might be your transmission solenoid is dirty, weak , damage or better it needs total replacement. A mechanic will simply tell you to replace the transmission, rather than check the solenoid... I have recommended mechanics in the past. For peace of mind and integrity I don't do it anymore.... This is why I always preach to car owners to always use the correct fluids in their cars . And to avoid short cuts...... I wish you the best of luck in finding the solution
|
dadabashua1:Despite those issues . camry of those years were hot cakes in Nigeria. I sold some of them . it was even harder to buy them at the Auction in the USA . |
nagoya2:I love the civic. Keep in mind the Honda civic were design to be a low maintenance car from the start..... I had issues with the transmissions in the past.. But once I was able to pass it . I was home sweet home. The engine are almost bullet proof . they can take alot of abuse, but the transmission can't it .. It is a most you use the rite transmission fluid ....... By the way how did you come about the moniker Nagoya ? Did u visit or leaved in Japan ? |

Mrsoft3:Lol full engine 300k at these exchange rate .... You must not been currant with market prices.. Maybe 300k for naija used engine |
Munachimsoaga:If am to take a guess . your 2007 camry is 4plugs! From 2007 to 2009 4plugs are factory defect that shorts oil ... The v6 does not have that problem....... So my advice is for you to get a complete tokunbo engine. Hopefully u can find one .. You are looking to spend at least 300k ........ And once u are able to get a tokunbo engine always make sure to check the oil level .. You might have to use a thicker oil 5w40 will be advisable... Good luck |
