The challenges were enormous and unsurmountable, from NURTW to LASTMA, the Taskforce, and the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation. It was like everyone wanted us to fail for a reason best known to them. We suddenly realized that the NURTW is more powerful than we thought. Their unholy romance with the Lagos Government makes them believe they can get away with anything.
At a point, over 20% of our daily revenue was going to the NURTW, and we still couldn’t operate without unnecessary interruption. There were days our buses were impounded for hours with passengers inside, and we had to make huge payments before the buses were released. Not to mention the number of times our drivers were assaulted and our buses vandalized by faceless members of the union. The police couldn’t do anything after we made several reports on the incidents. Serious yarns |

That's what counts, any other thing is putting sentiment over logic. You state logic and in same post generalise millions ... You attribute too much to Toke. |

And if you think she could've entered there without an IV, then it's a waste of time replying you any further. That may suggest that you need to expand your circle of knowledge a bit further. Those that matter knew about the event. If Toke was your road of enlightenment to know about one of the critical meetings dealing with this planet's future - I would suggest you need to elevate your mind. |

Zico5: What was he doing with the girl in the first place if he knew he would not marry her. You were having sex with the girl u knew u won't marry without protection. Who do u want to leave her for after impregnating her. Some men don't have sense. Better go and pray cos the curse of these girls is potent. Nothing will happen to him. They both made a consensual decision to have sex without protection. She bore the more risk. Reminds me of one of my female friends who wanted me to make her pregnant so we could elope. Thank GOD for grace. The relationship ended. |
Romance › Re: Reply From The Guy Whose Claim To Jilt A Girl On His Wedding Day!! by Druss(m): 11:16am On Dec 30, 2023 |
papyjaypaul: Men should start setting standards by protecting women. Real men stand up for women who their brothas will wife, they protect them when they go rogue because they are sistas. Standard is NOT impregnating a girl you are not married to. It's not leaving kids as b@$$tards and orphans while you are alive. That's a deadbeat man who gat no standard You ever tried giving a female advice on men? Especially when you know the man doesn't have good intentions in the long run? There are enough war stories on this. The lady knows what she wanted. She wasn't raped and it seems to have been a consensual agreement. She made a conscious and adult decision to sleep with a man and be at risk of being pregnant. He made a conscious decision to have sex and vamoose from the relationship. I don't approve of either's decisions. They made their bed. The future is still up to them. |

SmartyPants: I hope we will also accept positive reports from Bloomberg too?
In any case, I have scrutinised the article and reject its conclusions. The projection of a weak naira is based on a projected inability to attract fresh foreign investment due to inflation.
This will mean a lower or stable inflow of fx.
However, this does not take into account the projected boost in oil exports and elimination of oil imports with the revival of local refining. I will align myself with JP Morgan's, Moody's, and Bismark Rewane's projection of a strengthened naira in 2024.
Interestingly, Bloomberg has not gotten a single prediction on Nigeria correct - at least, not in the past 12 months. We pray the naira gets stronger. However I advise you to hedge your bets. As long as you have insecurity and other factors which affect the logistics of food and free movement of Nigerians, nothing go shele. Only the will of GOD can make things happen without the right foundation. |

APC. They claimed they have experience and that the young ones will wreck the country. Majority agreed with them hence they won the election or is it selection.
At the end, we are all suffering from the majority's naivety. Buhari is turning out to be a better President than Tinubu. That is some ISH no one would have said before May 2023. The proof of the pudding is in the eating and this government tastes very bitter. |

It was a display of lack of emotional intelligence on the part of the new governor and the other officials involved in the swearing-in. This will definitely go far. Inauguration cannot be private. What are you on about? Do you understand the phrase? The King is dead. Long live the King. When Elizabeth died, did Charles not rejoice during his inauguration? |

Family › Re: Please Should Continue My Marriage Plan With Her After Hearing This? by Druss(m): 6:11pm On Dec 27, 2023 |
letstalksense: There is this lady I plan to marry, which I have made known to her already even before she travelled for her NYSC. Although she just came back from NYSC service recently. We are just discussing the way forward and on the process I was asking her about her sexual life and how recently she had sex. After insisting for her to answer. She opened up and told me she had a sexual relationship during her NYSC service. And the reason was because I didn't call her at a particular time so she thought I have find anther woman. And that was when I was having some personal challenges. According to her, they ended the sexual relationship in the camp. That she is sorry and all that. I didn't really expect that attitude from her as she seem to look responsible and Godlily. I was just disappointed even though I pretended like everything is well. And I was also thinking she had the courage to tell me the true.
Now I have to make my decision, but needs a matured advise and guidance from a mature mind please.
Do think I should continue my marriage plan with her?
Pease what do you advise I do?
Thanks in advance. Up to you mate. Each of us have different interests. A few items of interest 1. Do you have peace of mind when you think about her having sex in camp? Can you forgive her? 2. She isn't taking responsibility for her actions. She is somewhat pining it on you still. 3. How are you sure she was only in that sexual activity? Sex in camp tbh is something that I believe is for indisciplined people to do i.e., people without self control and respect. 4. He without sin should throw the first stone. |

etrange: So you think she was not invited? She just carried her bag and went to Dubai and they allowed her in? Dude, it's not uncommon for celebrities to be invited to summits. They may not know much about the main subject of discussion, but thier presence is simply used to publicize the event. Many people wouldn't have known about the summit if Toke wasn't there. Those people calling her names are just envious. Nigerians just like to pull down anyone achieving what they can't achieve especially if it's a lady. Toke is not that level of celebrity. What has she done that has made her famous that a company can proudly use her as its face? |

Firstly, some people are calling Festus Fadeyi to defend Toke not knowing they are worsening the case by further diminishing her. Is there not something she does in her own right or is her call to wealth that she is Festus' girlfriend?
Secondly I thought the Fadeyis were in serious debt. Have they finished their case with the Fabbris?
Thirdly did she say exactly why she went there? What company? What discussion? |

Roman was an evil person based on his actions before he bought Chelsea. However this club will find it difficult to reach the levels they got to in his time. The way they cleaned out non playing staff on this new owner's arrival, they lost a lot of good experience. |
