Exmilitant: As usual, Nigeria is divided o er the issue. The Northern part of the country don't want a war with their neighbour. But we won't fold our hands and watch others being oppressed would we. Nigeria will invade. We have to play big brother. Would look good in our résumé someday. Nigeria will invade? Not approved. |

rottennaija: ECOWAS is controlled by the west. It's them that wants this war. From what I can realise now, all of our leaders in ECOWAS are western puppet. Think about it, they own bank account in western banks, they keep their investments in the west, their children are schooled there, they go on vacation in the west etc.
In our democracy, we don't really have the option of choosing who has our countries interest at heart, because by the time election comes, we are left with the selected few that are puppets based on the few mentioned points.
There is no hope for us Nigeria. ECOWAS wants this war because their western masters wants this war. Exactly. This is a proxy war between Russia and the West. Your leaders are compromised. They do not have the backbone because their assets are in the West. Nigerian people will need to stand against this crap. It is us that will suffer if this war goes ahead. Our children will be carried to fight another man's war in which our army has no conviction to defeat the other side. |

It is clear that APC is still paying some trolls to raise ethnic strife to make this an Ibo vs Yoruba issue.
I am from the south and I think war is a stupid idea. Nobody in the area where it happens enjoys it in the short and medium term.
Those that they are paying you monies to insult your fellow human beings - you think you are doing them. You are doing yourself.
NB where are Nairaland mods? Why do you allow ethnic baiting on this forum? |

THeUNIFIER: My intellect surmounts that of your f00lish tribe as shown in the past presidential election; from the butt sniffing Wole Soyinka to ya cursed, poverty stricken, ewedu munching bastard of a father. You Yaribas are astronomically overrated, or more like intellectually slow and out of touch with reality otherwise you would've known that as with all things only you cone headed BATstards are rallying behind the powder sniffing criminal, cheering mediocrity at every step of the way. So much for being the most sophisticated tribe on Earth. Spits You see the problem with inhaling shit infused weed. When they advise you to stop, you won't listen. Now you are demonstrating the sheer depth of your stupidity in public. Your family tried to help you by providing education for you but when someone is determined to prove that they are truly made of stupid. I only wonder what your father thinks when he sees you - if indeed the rumours are true that they swapped his true child with you. His disappointment in what you have become must be monumental but then again what does it matter to you? Keep on imbibing whatever mind alteration item you are taking. Just know it won't double your brain cell count from 1 to 2. God knows the single brain cell you have needs it. Thank GOD for the real Igbo people. You are a fake Igbo person. The ones I know won't pollute their mouth with the filth you spew. Go and tell the person who paid you to pretend that you are Igbo that you failed. |

ehikwe22: You're too ignorant. When a war starts, that's when you know who you're fighting. That is if you are lucky they show themselves. At times someone will be playing both sides to extend the war. A war with Nigerian soldiers only suits foreign powers. It doesn't suit Nigerians. |
Politics › Re: Niger: Be Careful, Don't Start What You Cannot Finish - Bode George To Tinubu by Druss(m): 5:36am On Aug 05, 2023 |
Jones4190: in the history of Nigeria when a group of handle mop started supporting you just know you are doing the wrong thing but when they started going against you know that you are doing the right thing. look at how they are supporting Niger now. No one is supporting Niger. You are not reading properly. They are saying 'Do not use the military option'. Once you go down the route of military, it is not as straight forward as you think! Reason this: we can not and haven't defeated Boko Haram or is it ISWAP! We now want to open another front for war. That is ridiculous. As Bode said, Nigeria was not having economic issues as today when we financed ECOMOG in earlier conflicts. We are struggling to defend the naira presently. Tinubu should pick his battles and what strategies to fight the battles. His immediate speech was very unusual of a Western Nigerian elder. He needs people who understand war and the importance of logistics in war. It is not something you pick without experience. |

Jones4190: Because he is Nigeria that stop him from been an enemy? have he ever support tinubu before? You are mistaking political rivalry for being a personal enemy? Nice try. Being a member of a rival party doesn't mean one is an enemy of Nigeria. That is the logic that puts small minded shallow people in trouble. Bode has every right to do what he has done. If Tinubu wants yes men, he should hire you as his personal jester. |

Wainey: I really don't want this war but I really want ECOWAS to bring back democracy in Niger.
Military rule doesn't respect fundamental human right o, a dictator can even take your mother as his wife and jail your father if he speaks, there is no constitution to hold him as he is bigger than the Constitution, there is no checks and balances either, no legislative or Judiciary, and there is no election. You will endure that dictator until there is another coup, and if the next dictator is worse than the previous one, you will run to another country as a refugee. Don't ever pray for a military govt Are you or other members of your close family joining the military? Niger isn't worth the cost. As Bode mentioned there is something at stake - a new pipeline. This is part of a larger battle between the West and Russia similar to Syria. Follow the gas. There are countries privately putting pressure on Tinubu. The President should say no. |

THeUNIFIER: No you're the enemy. I have to notice that only the western part of the country is urging PBAT to proceed for purely tribalistic reasons. They don't understand war or the consequences it poses yet they're quick to run their mouth See this one. Bringing tribalism. Bode George is from what part? Even FFK is saying no and he is from what part? The person that is paying you should ask for a refund. Your intellect is as weak as the naira and you are clearly made of stupid. |

Wainey: Niger does not have what it takes to stand ECOWAS. Also I don't want this war on Niger, they are trying to find a govt that will suit them, but I seriously don't want them to think a military dictator is better than a democratic govt.
I think they have to look for a voice in Democracy than settling for military rule What business do you have with Niger? A military approach will unsettle the region. Where do you think those fleeing the war will settle. You have been watching too many nice war movies. Nigeria should not go to war. Instead pursue the reinstatement of democracy. |

IyanuDeb: My friends have been advising me to start saving money for a while now, I don't earn much but I had already decided to start saving, no matter how little, just yesterday when someone heard us talking about it, he said with the way Nigeria currently is, saving has disadvantages because my 1million today will become 500k next year. Investing is wiser than saving. The lowest risk option is saving for a month and convert to a more stable currency. Try to ensure your exposure to naira is limited considering your short and mid term financial responsibilities. If you have money you don't need for a long while, do not keep it in naira. |

Merry100: You expressed your thoughts in a mature way and made your personal desire clear without imposing it on others. If only some other guys can be this mature.
I would like to offer you some advice. If a woman claims that she is keeping her virginity because of you, even if she engages in other forms of sexual activity that do not affect the hymen, she will still claim she is still a virgin and impress you with the preservation of her hymen but if a woman is motivated by religious beliefs, she cannot deceive God, so it is likely that she would choose to abstain completely from sexual activities and there are also other substantial motivation that can make a woman keep her virginity. Fair points. Note that I have been married for over a decade. My wife didn't have sex before marriage. |

Sports › Re: Oshoala Says Her Dad's Not Happy With Her Celebration. by Druss(m): 7:21am On Jul 29, 2023 |
It was also not a wise celebration because of the yellow card. It meant that she couldn't press from the front effectively again. There was a moment in the match after the goal when my heart was in my mouth. She had just made a tackle which thankfully the opponent didn't make a meal of it.
Also I hope people realise teams pay for yellow card offences. Also that thing about she wasn't thinking when celebrating is rubbish. If you want celebrations that were memorable for the right reasons look at Grosso in WC2006 and the Italian chap who scored in Italia 82. Look at Bebeto in 1994 whose wife had just given birth. Look at Tshabalala in WC2006. Look at Babayaro with his acrobatics.
