WebmastersRe: Is There Any Nigeria Host Running Softaculous? by DualCore1: 6:38am On Sep 16, 2010
webferret:
Softaculous in my opinion is far better than fantastico. If you type softaculous Vs fantastico on your web hosting panel you would see a lot of happenings in the hosting industries. Softaculous has over 140 script. When you do search engine search you would see a lot of difference.

There is only one site that i know offering it in nigeria for now. http;//rojadhost.net. They have very good. I will recommend them
Rojad, get the life of an adult and drop the kid habits. The antispam bot hits your post at 5am today and the next thing is create another ID at 6am.

Dammit, what is it with this section and hypocrisy. If you're good, you're good, aint no need creating fresh IDs to blow your rusty trumpets. If you were good in the first place your trumpets won't be rusty.

I had mixed thoughts about your personality but now you are just in the same category as luzoma with his many IDs.
Rojad, save both our times and don't try to argue jack about this.

Slyr0x:
but what if the log was actually cleaned lets say by the hac.ker?
Then they should say so in plain English and stop churning up technical terms into a professional lie that the client wont even bother arguing over cuz he/she doesnt understand a thing.

the government should legalize the possession of firearms for self defense, this way, people will be cautious on how they stalk there fellow humans.
I am not into Politics but if you ever have to go for Presidency, let me know  wink

WebmastersRe: Do Frameworks Make Or Mar Developers? by DualCore1: 2:49pm On Sep 13, 2010
i can answer this question for omni, dhtml, ogzille and lanbaba, lol. im on the road, cant tallk plenty. my opinion: use wat works for u. wat works for me is raw php, raw html, raw css and cooked javascript<jquery>. I dont see jquery as a lazy approach to javascript cuz there's still major coding involved. I honestly havnt looked at those php frameworks cuz i bumped into web dev in an awkward way, lol. cant explain i dey road joor.

glad to know your site is back online. Logs 'rotating off of the server' beats my comprehension. I thought logs were there to serve as logs for history purposes, how then can a log with a unique timestamp be overwritten or 'rotated'? Well what do i know?

PhonesRe: Easylife On Etisalat, Call For As Low As N15 Per Min! by DualCore1: 10:26am On Sep 13, 2010
i dont think its a promo. Etisalat however should be ready to carry the millions of voices that they are pulling to themselves with this easy magnet. making call for cheap will be useless if you cant stay on a calll without network outages. hey there's more money for them to make with this service charge than with the previous plans, do the math.
WebmastersRe: Email List Of Peolple In Lagos by DualCore1: 10:15am On Sep 13, 2010
this is illegal. you should only mass mail people who have opted for it. You are by this act putting your email service provider at risk of facing abuse charges. How many of the bulk mails you send will make it to people inbox?

What investigation will take 8 hours to go through before getting the site back to normal?

Download all site content to a local drive and do any analysis you want.

Delete all site content (except the cgi_bin folder and .httaccess file), remove any suspicious line in the httaccess file and check the cgi_bin folder for any suspicious files.

Check database for any suspicios database and database users

Change all logins.

Reupload a fresh copy of your site.

So your visitors can see your site when they visit while you and others concerned do any investigation.

This is how to do damage control, not to sit back and investigate while your gateway to the entire cyber community is welcoming them with a hackers page.

For your investigations, ask your host to check their apache logs for your account to see what files were created or modified in recent times.

WebmastersRe: Can This Be True? by DualCore1: 8:45am On Sep 11, 2010
"Powered by Website Tonight"

What do you expect from an overnight design?

Well these are politicians not web professionals so they would care less about the design of the site and care more about the purpose of the site which is to present information in text and images and that has been done.
WebmastersRe: Check Out My Php Code by DualCore1: 2:24pm On Sep 10, 2010
try

#readonly => TRUE

i have never tried it this way so no guarantee it will work.

Adding "readonly" to a textfield declaration in html makes it unedittable.

<input type="text" class="textfield" readonly/>

P.S: One of my PDAs can be used as a BB, it came with the BB service and a BB PIN. But you can trust I got that all trashed out when I took it to WinMo 6.5. So this isn't about affordability its about common sense.

Mods, you two got to talk to your boss tongue about this not being able to modify a post thing. Oh heck Honsule's BUZZ just brought up a chat window now and its got what I am typing covered, lmao!
