Does the UKVI accept affidavits when it comes to discrepancies in name or date of birth on waec or bsc certificate.
The school i applied to requested for affidavit which I provided.

Did you give a personal or work reference?

If it's personal that's fine,
If it is work and you become a student you might need to inform your friend to update a new reference with someone else

You may need to meet.the operation manager or so, someone's in authority in UBA to direct the correct team to do so

Also, concerning the column for house address, on my previous application, the house address I used was within London but my husband (MA) now lives outside London, hence a change in house address in my new application. That is the only difference between the previous application and this new one.
I know they will check the previous application to know if the information provided still correlate with the new one.... I hope there is no problem with this?

Good afternoon everyone, my biometrics is July 4 and my TB certificate will expire July 10. I tried booking an appointment at IOM two weeks ago but I was told that I can’t do remedical until two weeks to expiration of my certificate and that no available date till July 30 and August.

Here is my concern: since it is still valid on both my application and biometrics date, can I use it? Obviously decision will be made on my application 3-6 weeks after and by then, it would have expired. Hope I won’t have an issue?

NB: I got a refusal on my previous application.

Usually 6months validity but some have submitted their visa with less than that and it was fine.

Start the process of renewal and see how far you go before you are ready for your biometrics, if your new passport is ready that will be great

You may be able to book at IOM but bear in mind it may not be for tomorrow, it might be a subsequent date, plus you also need to make the payment

Me & my husband have been dating for 2 years before he moved to the uk on study visa last year September. He came home for marriage January 2022 and I uploaded our marriage certificate and news paper publication while applying for visa but I got a non straight forward mail today stating they need more documents to prove our relationship. What additional documents would you suggest I send to them? Please urgent response is needed. Below is what the decision making centre sent.

No be small, the responses on this thread sometimes are bewildering.

What does it even mean to blacklist a bank? You can blacklist individuals or a firm and deregister or withdraw bank license.

It takes alot to deregister or withdraw a license and that call will be the regulatory body in Nigeria CBN. They may advise other relevant authorities that use such services (i.e immigration/ visa purposes etc) but UKVI cannot blacklist a bank

They will take extra caution and scrutiny when receiving documents from that bank but not blacklist.

I hope people know what information to take in and what to leave out.

If you study both cases they are different.

UKVI do make mistakes I agree but the probability of making another mistake after an AR is very rare.

If you look at the screenshot, the mistake was spotted during the AR and reversed even though the person was impatient and applied to another school and got a second refusal

In the OPs case,the refusal and ban was upheld in the AR, besides if you noticed he stopped posting/responding when he was called out.

Just thought I might bring out the difference in this case and what you posted, they are different

The issue of bank statements is literally straight forward but in the Nigerian context,its almost rocket science. We do have a lot of people using built accounts, and bank officers have been cashing out on students going to the UK. It is what it is. The onus is to tell people the truth and consequences of using such accounts. Whatever we say wont make it stop, Nigeria is at a certain brink and people are desperate. I believe everyone here is an adult, and people should be able to take responsibility for their actions or inactions. A good fraction of people on this platform are using built account, to deny this is equal to living in Disneyland. The job here is to educate people on consequences, you might be caught and banned. If you dont get caught, you will struggle in the UK, It is extremely difficult without saved funds.

That been said, we have had a few cases of misjudgement from UKVI about statements,and a handful of people have been able to reverse it, a case study is on Part 6,October 12 by @Ezriela. I have attached screen shots.

UKVI doesn't get it right all the time . They are humans after all .
