yes, only if the church is licensed by Ministry of Interior to conduct marriages. My church marriage certificate was rejected as my church have no such licence. So you may consider going to register your marriage if your place of worship is not licensed to forestall any unnecessary delay as that is what I am facing now.

I studied Mechanical Engineering in my first degree...graduated with 2.1 in 2009. I have also done my master degree still in Mechanical Engineering.

However, after my undergraduate program, I got a job as a cybersecurity officer in a Bank and I have been in the banking industry ever since. I have done some information security certifications like Sec+, CEH, CISM.

My problem is that I am confused on what part to follow;

1. Should I start from Master Mechanical Engineering

2. Should I go straight for PhD

3. Or should I continue with Cybersecurity?

I got some information that it would be difficult to get VISA if I go for Cybersecurity because it's different from my first degree..."Lack of career progression".

Please I need guidance from experienced members

Please is there a preferred marriage certificate for the visa process? I have a marriage certificate from a state registry and another one from the shariah court. The two certificates were issued about 1 year apart.

My wife has been denied a schengen visa in the past because we used the state registry certificate and the visa office said it was not the official certificate.

Which of the certificates should i use of UKVI. Is it advisable to include both in our application, with pictures?

My friend needs an advise. He had a US visa refusal in 2013 then later got said visa in 2015. He applied for UK visa in 2013 and 2015 and the visa was approved but can’t seem to find the application forms even though he has the application reference number. He also applied for 2 years UK visa in 2019 and was granted the visa, he has this application Doc and realized he did not declare the US visa refusal but just stated his visits to the US.

Now he wants to apply for theStudent UK visa once more and is confused if he should just stick to his story of no previous US visa refusal or not.

If your church certificate have the Nigerian coat of arms then yes.

If it doesn't you might need to take your church certificate to the court for further advise

You can then add both the church and court documents together during your application

PS: They only recognized British government funded scholarships like Chevening and Commonwealth

I already got my ATAS certificate for MRes Physics.
I renewed my passport and the passport number changed, I need to change the passport number on the ATAS certificate, but the ATAS team have not responded yet, I have been writing them and waiting, I even reapplies, no way.

Can I enclose the ATAS Certificate with my new and old passport data pages and use it for my visa application like that?

All student visa application are the same with scholarship or not.it is the evidence you upload that tells whether the above applies.

What used to fasten visa application was priority or super priority, unfortunately these options are not available for now

I'm not aware of any categorizations of the Tier-5 UK Visa. All I know is that it's a visa that allows you to stay in the UK for about 3 months, and is frequently used for summer internships. The way the Tier 2 is called a Skilled Worker visa is the way the Tier 5 is called a Government Approved Exchange (GAE) visa.

The immigration lawyers were appointed by my sponsoring company, yes. The firm reached out last week to say that they are following up with the UKVI from London, but no decision yet.

My major concern is if my engagement with NYSC could prevent that approval of my UK visa. Some friends done with NYSC who did their biometrics two weeks after me already got their visas. So, please kindly advise. Thank you!

When you say designated lawyers you mean the company sponsoring you?

There are lots of delays with visa application now,you might need to chase up or inform the lawyers to chase up decision on your behalf

A financial services firm is sponsoring my visa to the UK for a summer internship. This is my first time applying for any kind of visa at all. I'm 22, and I have about a month left to finish my NYSC.

I went for my biometrics at TLSContact on April 13th. The designated immigration lawyers in the UK handled all the documentation requirements. They requested for my documents and I submitted them. They then submitted to the UKVI. I have been waiting for a decision for more than 8 weeks now,so, I just decided to seek your experienced counsel here. Could the fact that I've not passed out of NYSC be a problem?

I want to believe most people know how to spot a phishing mail. That being said, @fco.gov.uk is indeed an official email and the Sheffield team are part of UKVI.

Sheffield studentteam are probably based in Sheffield and are responsible for students visa hence student team compared with all other visa routes.

Anyway, it was good you raised the alarm so people are extra careful

I have gone through UK government website and found some of these mails are fake.
I think the trick they use is ask some innocent question and be able to get more information about you through phising and other hacking method. Pls, let us be careful how much of infomation we put out there.

For the benefit of those who need the information, there is UK family visa available for people whose relatives are on ILR status or are citizens.

You can sponsor a family member to the UK. But there are conditions that must be met.

The outsourcing firm I worked addressed my Reference letter to the school. I told the HR the reference is also needed for Visa application but she said I do not need a reference letter from my previous employer for study purpose to the embassy. I tried to convince her but she insisted that’s the only one that can be issued or i should forward the requirement from the embassy stating that i require this letter from my former employer.
What do i do please?

2. Not sure what you mean by bump (the highlighted) does that mean add the dependants maintenance to the main applicants? If that is the case and you are all applying at the same time you might need to ensure the 28days rule is met

1. My wife's account is still in her maiden name while passport and admission have married name... Will this affect pof and payment of school fees.

2. The pof required for CAS is already counting in one account while that of dependants will be ready in few days time, is it advisable to bump the remaining pof in the same account or put it in separate account? Will the school have issue with the pof if it starts with 10m then you have 23m on the statement of account.

3. Can someone use 2 account numbers belonging to the same person for pof...

4. Is reference letter compulsory for study gap... appointment letters and ID cards for both employment are available.
