Hello, You mean abandon your studies halfway and leave to the USA. Withdrawing from your studies is your decision but bear in mind, it's on your records and becomes interesting when you need to visit the UK. Cheers Prettiyruth: Good evening,
I need a bit of clarification on something.
Isn't possible for one to migrate from UK to the USA. I applied to schools in both countries and I have gotten admission to 2 schools in the UK, while I have done an interview with the US school, I'm just awaiting my letter. However, I don't want to neglect both and do both simultaneously cos I have been rejected the USA visa so I don't want another disappointment.
My question is, if the US visa works, can I leave the UK and resume somewhere around January in the US?
Thank you |

Hello, In addition to what @channels travel have advised, You also have to apply and possibly travel with the other parent, If you are not together ,then you have to provide a court order declaring sole responsibility Cheers objohn: Goodevening, can I travel to the UK for my masters degree along with my 4yr old girl?
Also, any ideas of universities in the UK that provide fully funded scholarship? |

Hello, The person can give a reference but not an official one, it will a personal reference. If your school is happy to receive this then that's fine, The reference will not be drafted on any company letterhead, just plain A4 paper Cheers Kellyd2: I worked with a company some years back. Unfortunately the company has folded up. One of my managers in the company that folded up is now working in another company. Is it appropriate for this my former manager to write a reference letter for me with his present company letter head stating how I worked under him in the former company. |

They can ask for any details and can verify any statements in details if they choose to Tbh, I don't think the date the statement was printed matters, if UKVI wants to know the source they will ask, whether you print 2 days or a month after. It is beginning to look like the scrutiny on accounts for visit visa mcpapillo: Maybe because it's a brand new account with little or no transaction history prior to the 10M deposit. But I'm not sure they can know that or can they? |

I need urgent help
In 2006, I applied for UK visa (it was done on my behalf by my step brother) I was refused on the basis of funds and maybe other reasons that I am not privy to.
In my early days too (1994or 1996), An application was put up for me using my step brother as my dad which was refused because the VO was able to detect.
My worry now is that I want to apply for study visa using correct information this time around and I plan to declare my refusals. I am not sure how to answer the question "have you ever given false information when applying for a visa, leave to enter or leave to remain"
kindly help me out |

Hello, Not at all, this is a very interesting situation Did they provide COS? Is the person working full-time and studying full-time?? See attached a screenshot advising 3months and a long-winded link you can read to get more information That was why I advised the person can start part time 20hrs and switch towards the end of masters so that employment link is not lost.Alot of companies say no problems but don't know the rules or how to go about it. My opinion though https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/appendix-studentCheers Pacypatty: Pls don't get angry, the said person said this to the employer who wishes to give tier 2 that he start date was January and the course 2years and they said no problem.

Hello, Your masters is barely 6months if I am correct. With skilled workers visa you need to have 3months left to conclude your masters before you can apply. The HR in the company knows exactly what the criteria is/are, it is also a point based systems on their part with them issuing a COS. You may start working with the company on a part time basis of 20hrs per week and hopefully switch when it is time Cheers Pacypatty: I'm just seeing this. Masters pls The course is for 2years, and it started January 2022.
Just scared if there will be any implications or not. Thank you |

Hello, Travel history is not important ,if you are referring to refusals with the highlighted please declare them when asked. Cheers nairalandprophet: Hello everyone,
Please I made a student application to the UK for the September intake.
I failed to indicate my previous traveling histories during my school application and the pre-cas interview…this is because I was scared of been refused as a student.
Should I still maintain that stand or mention during my visa application?

It doesn't make sense, look out for when your school has started to receive applications for January 2023 and apply then Cheers roland2rule: Hi, plz I am hoping on January 23 admission in MMU & relocation by God's grace. Hello, And when you do have a solid proposal, pending on the sector, sponsors are attracted and may want to fund your PhD. Bear in mind PhD is no fun,it is alot of hard work Well said @Missngozi123 Cheers Missngozi123: Hi @fun2fun In my 'small experience', grades are important for PhDs. But nothing beats getting a solid research proposal and being able to convince the admissions committee as to why the topic or proposal is indeed PhD worthy. Best of luck |

Hello You are expected to either upload all your document before biometrics as self service or during biometrics as assisted service. IHS and visa fees are part of your application process and do not determine when you print your statement. Before you forget to print and upload it, you can so so now. Cheers damola311: Good morning and Happy new month to everyone.
I have a question, at what stage do someone print his statement of account? Is it before paying for both IHS and Visa fee or after paying for the two fees? |

Hello, There is always more that meets the eye. When they withdrew your offer did they state the reason as the highlighted? We have dealt with this topic in detail over the thread and have advised that you should declare your refusal when asked. Cheers tobyharwe: For some one who has been denied visa before, getting cas seems tricky now. I mentioned to university of Bolton that I was denied student visa to Canada in 2017 for the following reasons
-No travel history -Vo inability to determine whether I will return to my country after end of study.
Few days later they rejected my application and withdrew my offer. Now, I have other offers that I want follow up with but I am thinking not to mention the refusal to university before cas issuance but declare it at visa application stage.
What do you think please? Is this a good idea? Will it affect my application in anyway? |

Hello, Thanks for responding, @bourne007 has provided an example of student handbook from Uni of Loughborough, however the practicality of doing so as a postgraduate with only a year full time study is difficult almost impossible the reason I responded with a No for postgraduate. With an undergraduate it may be possible however there is such a fine line between withdrawing and being accepted in a different school. You have to provide solid reasons as to why that is happening and tuition fees is not necessarily a good reason because again you provided maintenance funds howbeit for one year. there might be reasons such as technical capability/resources between both schools needed specifically for your studies. Try as much as possible not to shoot yourself in the foot. My opinion though Cheers Queengolden: sorry, as an Undergraduate but the first year is International foundation more like a pathway course |
