Thanks for your help so far.

Please I just got an additional document request from UKVI to upload more proof of relationship evidence to my husband (See attached). We did our court wedding in March 2023 and here are the documents we initially uploaded.

1. Marriage Certificate
2. 3 Years Dating Photos with dates
3. Introduction Photos
4. Court Wedding Photos
5. 3 years text message screenshots

NB
- Our bank statement has the same address, we have been staying together for the past 2 years though both our names are not in the house rent agreement. Should we reattach the bank statement as proof of address?

- We have a joint account (different from what was used for POF) that was opened in June 2023, we didn't upload a reference letter because we felt the account was too new, should we go ahead and submit it now?

- We don't have any investments together.

Please any advice on how to handle this will be greatly appreciated.

Anything and everything can cause an NSF,

An NSF will usually tell you the additional documents/information the ECO needs to assess your application

If you have an empty NSF then that's just standard protocol when more time is needed

In summary,dot your I's and cross your T's as much as possible

Until then the focus is on the MAs application and evidence that he meets his own requirements

If the ECO is suspicious,they may ask for the source of funds, if not all good

1. Process for sole custody is through the court, you will need to speak to a lawyer for that

2. It depends on the age, some airlines offer unaccompanied minor flights.

What is your definition of close relatives? Do you mean immediate or extended? Besides you will need to first prove your relationship with the person and then consent letter to travel with your children. There may also be push back from border control

I would strongly advise that the MA explores the unaccompanied minor option or travels to get them

You should have reprinted another statement from that point till date

Why should the Uni give you their CAS when you haven't met the 10points on finance

Unfortunately I can't speak on your chances as you are currently racing with time and are really behind at the moment

Hello duchess90, justwise. Thanks for all you do here. I applied for Coventry University and got a conditional offer. After the deposit I was given access to the CAS Shield to submit by documents. I submitted my bank statement but it was rejected as according to them it had expired and I would need a new one.

This is already July 27 and I am working towards the September intake, what are the chances to still leave by September if I upload my new bank statement which will mature in 28 days - August 24th. With the school already saying their CAS deadline is August 14th

Why can't I get the CAS and now bother about the bank statement for my visa application?

A response would be appreciated

Ok I applied with my wife and kids too. Visa for MA is out and the rest of my dependents are still on received by DMC.

I noticed a trend, people with only husband and wife applications got visas same day.

I don't know if any other person with kids has gotten visa since June.

I have waited since 10th oh July till this moment it have not left the DMC stage. Any useful information can help.

2. If he spends less than 6months in Nigeria he won't need it

3. He needs to address that in a cover letter and cite the dates he returned home and the guidance so the ECO sees that

My ward just finished a one year foundation course in UK. He has gained admission into (another) university for his undergraduate studies. Having been in the UK for the last 1year, the (new) university did not request for TB test during the CAS interview/documentation (they said he doesnt need it).

1. Please how long is a TB test valid for? (He did one last year before he went for his foundation program)
2. Does he need to do another TB test for this new visa application? (He returned to Nigeria last week and is planning to return to UK for his undergraduate studies this september)

Paid mail isn't helping matters. Those lazy guys keeping referring me to A.R department.

Meanwhile alot of people are suggesting that it's best to begin another application considering the time it takes for A.R to be concluded, do you think it's best that I reapply?

I'm also considering discussing with the school to help follow-up but does the school have the authority to hasten up A.R decisions? Its mentally draining and frustrating.

My bank statement for POF I generated from my phone app doesn't bear any bank email address or phone number of the bank on my bank statement of account which is from my GLOBUS Bank. In summary and I am sure you are aware

Both parents should either be applying together or one should already have a visa/permit

The ECO will request for evidence to show that 1 the MA is the sole surviving parent or 2. Has sole parental responsibility given by the court or 3. Compelling reasons why the application should be granted in the absence of the second parent

Waiting for a passport is not a compelling reason

2. Passport renewal takes time even when assurances have been given


The children should apply same time with their mother

Also remember POF is for their use in the UK

My friend in the church will be applying for his visa monday next week (July 31st). Family of 6

His wife international passport is yet to come out but their POF will mature monday next week.

Can he go ahead with his application and that of their 4kids on Monday? Won't it be a red flag for the kids when their mother isn't applying with them?

His wife will be applying as soon as her international passport comes out. The immigration officer promised them the passport will be out at most mid this month but here they are.

What documents does he need to upload for their kids since his wife won't be applying with them on monday.

He needs advice cos we don't want refusal. POF is running. Monday next week will make it exactly 2months he has been holding his CAS.

Age of my kids are 2yrs, 5yrs, 7yrs, and 9yrs

Good evening everyone. Gurus in the house please I need your help,

I received my CAS yesterday and immediately went ahead to apply for my visa but my cas was reflecting £15,400 as fees (which I thought I had got a discount or scholarship as my school had previously mentioned something of sort).

I however, some minutes ago, got an updated CAS reflecting £16,300 as my fees. My POF is enough to cover the fees in the now amended CAS statement and I am yet to upload the necessary documents (meaning I can still upload the new CAS) but I’m a bit uneasy as I have previously filled £15,400 in my application form.

Please is this something to be worried about?
Because I do not want to be perceived as a liar by UKVI or should I be less worried?
with the assurance that my school must have sent UKVI the previous cas and sent them the amended one too as an error on their path because they did send me an apology mail.

How you provide POF for your child is entirely your decision

I mentioned that the ECO may request your bank statement from specific dates covering when you applied for yours to confirm the funds are not recycled

2. The ECO may also request for evidence of the source of your deposit, ensure you have that ready

3. Your PoF and that of your dependant is for your use in the UK
