I had biometric 10th of July 2023, though I have 4 dependents , wife and 3 kids.

On the 11th all our applications were received by DMC. And its been there since that day till this moment.

Biometric was TLS ikeja too. This is also our second week after biometric.

What do you think could be the delay?

So I sent the mail to UKVI yesterday notifying them of the circumstances surrounding my application and the steps I have taken to get a resolution but I am yet to hear back from them. Hopefully, they get back to me with a favourable decision sooner than later.

Please the MA is currently in the process to pay for IHS and here are some observations:

- Earlier, the MA selected that he doesn't not have anybody financially dependent on him (He is travelling with dependent (Wife) and part of his POF is in her account).
- The MA stated that he will be travelling with his dependent and included her information in his application.
- The system is now automatically stating that You don't have any dependents

My question is: Are we on the right track? Is it okay for the system to conclude that the MA doesn't have any dependent even though his wife/civil partner will be applying with him? It seems the system is concluding this because he filled that he doesn't have anybody financially dependent on him.

I want to share an update and seek advice regarding our visa application.

My wife (the main applicant), our two children, and I (proof of funds is in my account) just returned from IOM. While their certificates came out fine, mine was not issued as they couldn't determine my true health status. I have to return on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to provide sputum samples, and the test results will take around 10 weeks, according to the IOM doctor.

Due to this situation, I might have to move the POF to my wife's account, which means the 28-day period will start again. My wife and the children might have to apply for their visas without me, which would be difficult as she might not be able to take care of the two children alone over there.

I would like to seek your advice on whether I should consider another facility like Consultant practice, Qlink, etc. I am sincerely in need of guidance on the best way to move forward at this junction.

I'll answer the first 3 question

1. We are currently on the same time with Nigeria, so it's same 2:30pm

2. Yes log in maybe 5mins before so you can check your internet connection and audio before your interview

3. I don't understand the question, no further email will be sent about interview unless this doesn't go ahead as scheduled

It doesn't matter if your marriage certificate states that you have a child, if your child doesn't rely on you financially then that's fine, you have declared so

I am the dependant and on marriage certificate i declared i am single with a child due to my ex who has left to marry another Man legally and in custody of the child.

My wife is the main applicant and we are legally married.

But on visa application where they ask does anyone rely on you for financial support, i said NO and have completed the IHS and VISA payment for both of us.


Please advice properly so as not to get NSF mail on further questioning.

It might be worth looking at other rules that are changing also i.e switching visa from study to skilled workers visa etc

Include the receipt in your application if you can't get an updated CAS

Remember your POF is for your study in the UK

I (MA) had 25m for POF running for both of us in my account before sudden FX inflation, When that happened , the fund became insufficient because of the exchange, so I had 8m in my Husband account and we started counting again, making it a total of 33m. to be on a safer side incase the unexpected happen again. So currently the 25m is sufficient for me alone while that in my husbands account will be enough for him as my dependant and he will still have 2m excess after deducting his living cost. we will be submitting our application next week.

1) As at the time of submitting our application, if the amount in my account and his are still sufficient for us individually , do we still need to include a consent letter?

2) will there be any issue if he still have excess of 2m in his account , that is if the exchange rate has not consumed it.

3) if the exchange goes up and i need to balance my living cost from his account, will he need to write a consent letter.

4) Can we state that the rising and fluctuation in fx rate is the reason my balance is in his own account.

ECOs defer, some look at company registration and tax documents others stop at company registration

Besides,isn't it cheating the Nigerian Government when you own a business and don't pay tax??

In your account,then yes they need your consent letter

In your dependant's account,she won't need your consent letter but the baby will need hers ( sounds funny I know)

Due to this rate issues, I just opened a Dom account and sold the naira in my POF to dollars (black market) which I then deposited into the Dom account (Opened with a different bank tho)

Now, the only transaction in this new Dom account is the $ cash deposit and I don't really think I would have any reason to do any transaction on it... I hardly buy foreign stuffs. Would this be an issue? That's no transaction on the account by the time the statement is matured. Thanks

Because the officials said I can’t get FIRS tax certificate for my business (because it is business name registration).


And when I attempted to get the Lagos State tax clearance, they said it can only be given for my name, not business name which kind of forfeits the function.

I have an offer with BCU but they recently insist that one must submit 3 months bank statement. They said that they want this to be able to confirm how legitimate the banks statement and POF is.
I have a running POF in my own account but i am scared and don't know what to do as the 3 months statement will show when the POF money was deposited into my account and by who.

There's nothing like priority service appointment just priority application

You can log back to your application using the sign on details, go to provide biometrics it will take you to TLS page and you can add priority to cart and pay


If this is still an issue, you can pay on the day of your appointment

Remember your POF is for your use in the UK, any other arrangement is deceit and will attract a 10year ban when caught

They both received mail on the same Friday that their application has been transferred to DMC. Up till this moment their application yet to receive by DMC.
They both did standard
VI TLS

But from all comments we read here about those that got Visa their application was received by DMC a day after their biometric.
