1.Your dependant's Maintenance should be £680*9months *2

2.It should be in your previous evidence you submitted,that is the statement the ECo will request if needed. If it is same bank the ECO may request statement with dates that should cover what you had submitted previously

3. The address should be fine, however ensure you make proper arrangements before your children arrive if they are granted the visa. So you don't have issues with the landlord and possibly council regarding overcrowding

Good day to everybody in the house. We're
currently in UK myself as M.A and my wife as a dependent for over a month now, we want to start POF for our 2kids aged 12 and 8yrs respectively next week so that we will be able to apply for them towards August ending.

However, I need advice on the following questions;

(1). How much should I put for there maintenance for outside London?

(2). About the issues of my tution ballance of £7,200, should I include it in the new POF?

(3). About the issue of Accomodation/ proof of Address, which for now we're currently living in a sheared 2bedroom apartment and the landlord had agreed that we should use the address as proof of address for their application and later get our own 2 bedroom after the approval of their visas since our NI and UK bank statements carry the same address. My question now is, can we use the address or we should get a new 2bedroom before applying for them? Seriously waiting for response. Thanks and God bless.

On my documents: Surname firstname middlename.

That doesn't even cover your maintenance funds

There's no Uni with fees of £5000

It might be worth saving more or perhaps checking other affordable countries.

A nsf mail dropped for both kids earlier today asking that the biological father be confirmed

Both parents are separated thus making it hard to get a consent letter from the dad

Unfortunately I can't respond directly to your question

There is usually a desk in charge of responding to such enquiries, usually in the head office, sometimes the request for verification gets sent down to branch/account officers to respond

A consent letter is not needed if you are using your account

If the evidence of source of funds are requested through an NSF then you can provide your birth certificate, your father's bank statement and a copy of the debit transaction from him to you. A cover letter will be good to include also

What Government sponsorship is it without an email address?

Who has been your contact person with the said Government organisation?Speak to the person urgently

UKVI has intel for confirming Government sponsorship and I believe they have done what is needed

The NSF is the ECO giving you a chance to make it right


Provide the sponsorship letter and include a cover letter stating the details of whoever your contact person is (I doubt the ECO will accept it if it is different from the intel)

Unfortunately I don't see this going any other way

After trying for the fourth time to make payment for the Ihs and Visa, it was still showing decline.Then she received a confirmation that it was successful in her mailbox.
She tried to use the link to continue, they said her application has been closed. She should start a new one. Meanwhile the money have been deducted from her account.

2. His start date is September 2023,he is entitled to bring his dependant. This should be done well in advance and before he switches to graduate visa should be continue to do so

3. Euro, ensure you use the Oanda currency converter.

4. TB test expires in 6months, doing a TB test will depend on how soon you apply from the Netherlands, if it is less than 6months, you will need one, more than 6months not needed

Please help.

My husband just collected his CAS today and we are planning to apply for visa together next week when my (the dependant) POF will be matured, but another development came in.

I will have to be in Netherlands for a full sponsored master's program by end of August. So we are thinking my husband should just apply alone and I will be visiting him from Netherlands. My course is a year and his course is for two years. My plan is to be visiting him in the UK till I finish my program and join him permanently.

My question now is:
1. Is it possible to apply for uk dependant visa from the Netherlands as a Nigerian student?

2. If possible, can I apply next year or it must be this year, because of the ban?
Note: My husband admission is for September 2023 and the course RQF level 7.

3. When applying will I have to show POF in naira or Euro because the university will open an account for me there?

4. We did our TB test together earlier this month in Nigeria and I fill Nigeria as departure. Can I still use it or I have to do another TB test over there?

Please everyone, I would appreciate if you can assist with these questions.

Declare all your refusals

If you can't remember the exact date use an approximation, you could say around October 2015


You can summarise what the reason for the refusal was generally about and be honest to say you can't remember the exact wording

You don't need to upload refusal letters just extract the necessary information and include them in the relevant section

Tbh 2015 is not a long time to forget a visa application that was refused

Dependants standard wait time is 3weeks,they can arrive anytime,the priority for the MA to resume Uni

Once you provide the email where the bolded was stated we will advice more

I have 4 dependents too, applied on 8th July 2023, had biometric on 10th and today 20th i just got TLS email that my passport is ready for collection.

I checked on the tracking system its true. But one thing is surprising to me, they didn't send email for any of my dependents, wife and 3 kids.

I am the main applicant.

I checked the on their tracking system, it was still on DMC received.

Though they stated that if we applied in group and no email has been sent for the rest of the applicants, I should hold on till I see their own email.

I don't understand the whole system at all I had plans of going there's tomorrow being Friday. But I want to hold on till next week if I didn't get any email by tomorrow for the dependents.
