I want to find out if there are Nigerians at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. I have been granted admission there and I hope to hook up with any Nigerian over there when I arrive. My campus is in Haugesund.

From i've seen so far, most of the recently active people here are prospective students.

What grade scale is your school using? I assume 5.0 scale in this case. Norway uses a 6-point scale.

C = 4/6

4/6 ≈ 0,66 (66%)

0,66 * 5 = 3.3

But in reality, C minus, C, and C plus are in use (not on official stuff though) so probably C average would include C minus (don't take my word for this) which means you can get in with lower than 3.3, though I can't confirm that.

It's really easy to get these things confused, so I'm not entirely sure what grading scales people's been giving me, but generally, this is the model you want to follow. I apologize for any mistakes.

It's written entirely in Norwegian though, that is the reason i said initially if you don't have an instructor, it might be difficult to understand

Yes, there are biology course but it's a matter of field specialization

I can't go for biomedical, molecular etc because of i don't have the units for those course

I have found about 4 universities and I am in contact with 2 of them

Yeah,the language is kinda rigid.. It's not what someone can just learn without guide.. I'll advise from what I've researched one enroll in their respective universities' Norwegian classes. For example, UiS offers rebated Norwegian class to international students for just 1000Noks compared to what you'll pay if you enroll outside the school environment. This class is flexible and Also facilitates faster assimilation. Being amongst tenacious people learning a new language would make one understand it faster. Coupled with the rebated cost, they offer certificate upon completion of the language program.. For UiS, it's just 12 weeks with week 9 being a free week. Go to your prospective univs and make enquires on Norwegian class. I'm learning it via YouTube just easy ones but I'm definitely enrolling to my University's Norwegian class. Language to one isn't a barrier rather an advantage,opportunity for one..


Remember; whilst applying for a Norwegian PR,you need not only show proof of funds but you also need to show proof of Norwegian language proficiency up to an intermediate level.

From what I observed, biology isn't a really hard course to gain admission into. Reason being that Supplementary admission to one year study courses, bachelor programmes and master courses were made open today for more applicants still interested in applying to Norwegian universities and I saw some biology programmes amongst the courses. Unfortunately I can't recall if it's a year study, bsc or MSC programme. Now the programme isn't on the site anymore as the study spaces have all been applied for.

Ultimately, follow Arinze01's advice and hope for the best.

Lastly, wait a while for them to release the number of total applicants and also successful applicants for courses you are interested in. From there, you can measure your chances.
