Please I have been following this thread, and it's very informative.I got an unconditional Offer Last Year with Cardiff but due to covid, I didn't proceed, so I deferred my admission. I would like to proceed with my admission this year Sept 2021. But before I make any payments to school for CAS, TB etc. I need some advise please.

1. I got admitted with Neco results and English proficiency from my University, I dont ve WAEC. Would I need to write IELTS for Visa application?

2. I'm particularly scared as I got a student Visa refusal from Ireland and one of the reasons written was I didn't submit an IELTS results even though I presented my Neco and English Language Proficiency from University to the Ireland Embassy. Would this affect UK visa application/ decision ?

Ireland specifically requests for IELTS, from what I've read on UK, it all depends on your university and what is written on your cas

I charge for detailed counseling; that being said:

1. decide if you are opting for IT or Zoology
2. 2.2 in Nigeria is 2.2 across the globe; 2:1 is 2:1- there is nothing like strong 2:2 or a very strong 2:1, if your intended course states minimum of 2:1 is required -those are the applications that would be considered. you can, however, sell yourself better through other achievements either academic/professional
3. No interview is required for Ireland- your SOP is your interview where you have to convince the visa officer + other supporting docs

IT is my first choice, I researched Griffith and saw they have an interactive digital media course that falls in line with my skills, I sent them an email to inquire about it.

Good day everyone, While I'm reading this thread from the beginning, I'd like to state a few things and see if I can get a reply so I can start my application as soon as possible.

I have a degree in zoology, 3.40 CGPA and I'm proficient in UI/UX design and also beginner skills in Adobe Illustrator, Presently I identified biodiversity and conservation in trinity college, Dublin, I'd like to know if my cgpa pointcuts it for the upper second class requirement (if they don't use the same scale as nigeria).

In addition, I want to move into tech if possible as shown in the skills I have acquired, which other universities, and what courses do you think I could look into directly with my degree.

Based on the visa, I am aware of the basic requirements for visa application what I am not clear on is if Ireland also interviews study visa applicants, if they do, what kind of question should one be expecting?

Do you know anyone that is studying a bsc course ? Please help out as im about to start funding . Was given admission for film and tv production .

Sometime ago I gave this information out to someone looking to apply for B.sc, it's been on their website since like forever

My advice for you is to look at other countries or go for masters.

My issue is not a big one, I intend to study in Norway and I already got a school I can follow up with (UIT). I just did my change of name recently as I am married but my passport and other documents carries my maiden name, my application requests that I put my name as it is on my passport. Since I intend to travel with my husband, will this affect the issuance of my study permit? I’d be waiting for replies thanks

It's advisable to submit all Documents but Marriage certificate and Affidavit should suffice

Has anyone tried to get an attestation of waec result?

Hi guys, I need ur advice.
I have someone willing to loan me about 6mill by January next year, which I'm to repay over 2-3years. My prob nw is, by January, it would be too late to get an admission cos i was seeing dec 1 as application deadline for non eu citizens.
If I can get the person to pay the 6mill to my acc by october ending, then transfer it back to him after mayb 2days, then request for my account statement b4 the money leaves my account, tender it to the schools i want to apply to, will the schools confirm from my bank if funds is still intact in my account as seen on my statement?
#for some reasons, the person loaning me the money said he cant drop his company's statement

Best thing for you to do now is ask the person to give you his own bank statement and a sponsorship letter

The school might not contact the bank to ensure the money is there because you will still be required to send the money to Norway before you apply for permit but to be on the safe side use the persons statement

Don't bother applying for B.sc, there aren't a lot of English programs and even if you learn the language the Norwegian authorities are not issuing permits for higher studies less than M.sc

While you are looking for "yeye course"

Note that it's not only about your CGPA or competition for place

They also use the courses you took as an undergraduate so even you have appropriate CGPA and there is low competition

If you don't fulfil subject requirement, you might be refused admission

No I don't think so as most universities clearly states that your bachelor's degree diploma is what is used for admission

But you can contact the admission office of whatever school you want to apply for

As far as I know, you cannot apply for a study visa to go for a Norwegian language preparatory program. Only people currently resident in Norway and EU citizens can do so.

If i'm not mistaking Norway won't grant you a study permit for study programmes lower than Masters even if you manage to get admission

1 the 5m we are required to wire to them is it from there that they will bring out our accomodation abi are we going to also send them accomodation money again

2. My cgpa is 3.08 I want to know the bench mark for the cgpa they collect

3 . Apart from that 5m, registration fee,visa fee , then flight ticked when u want to leave is there any other fee I'm expected to pay

1) It's your cost of living so they'll remove it, you'd be given instructions by the school on admission

2) No one knows, we are all prospectives but you can try, it doesn't hurt to try

3) As far as i know, that seems to be what we need you can research more

The money would be given back to you once you have a Norwegian bank account and necessary deduction have been made (accomodation and dues)

Pls help examine this scenario, If someone borrowed the money, deposit the money in the account, gotten student visa, arrived Norway and completed the account opening process. After some time, since u have access to the funds, is it possible to send the money back to the lender in naija probably within a few months of staying in Norway

Go through the thread, you'd see reasons why borrowing the money is not ideal

Norway has a highstandard of living and things are expensive especially when you start doing what every Nigerian does abroad "Converting to naira", it may take weeks to months to get a job, someone on this thread said he didn't get a job until after 6 months

What do you do during that period?
