I booked virgin Atlantic at 295k but I booked early.

I remember seeing tickets at this price as at 2 weeks ago but unfortunately, I couldn't book, now it's over 500k

The type of vaccine is not the issue, the vaccine in Nigeria is Oxford/Astrazena and it is also being administered in the UK, the issue is about people vaccinated through the NHS. NHS has a data base for people vaccinated in the UK, and that can be verified. They also carry the NHS covid pass, which airlines are required to check.So its about being vaccinated in the Uk and not the variant in Nigeria .

Just to add to this, just like I said in the original post about whether or nor Nigeria's variant of Covid Vaccine is recognised, it isn't. It was donated to us by COVIXXX Institute of Serum(I think), India. The variants from India and Russia aren't recognised even though they're from their EU branch, which I think is a bit unfair.

Only other variants manufactured from their other locations are recognised. In summary, We'll still have to self isolate. Cheers

According to gov.uk website, the date of application is the day you pay your Visa application fees so you might still be safe

I have a challenge with this TB test thing. First of all, I saw information on UK's website that those that are already completely vaccinated won't be subject to that 8-10 days quarantine. Can anybody verify if the variant of covid19 vaccine we received today is going to be considered since not all vaccines are approved by the UK?

Secondly, regarding the covid19 test at least 48 hours before travelling, must the test be carried out by the airline you're making use of? I'm about to book a flight via wakanow and there's an "inbound/outbound" covid19 test option for 55k. Should I pay with them or will it be cheaper to do the test externally? What other approved covid19 centres are there in Abuja? Thanks all.

According to the gov website, yes if you are fully vaccinated (you have collected 2 doses) you do not need to self isolate, the vaccine you would get in most vaccination centers in Nigeria is the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine and as far as I know, that vaccine is also administered in the UK so if you have collected 2 doses, you should be good to go.

As for the covid test, I'd leave it to the experienced people, the knowledge I have is based on what I've read online not experience

I think the only connecting flight that isn't too problematic is Air Maroc as Morocco is on the amber list and as far as I know, there's no transit visa requirement but I have no experience so best be safe and take a direct flight with BA or Virgin

PLEASE For those flying to the uk soon, I was informed that if u enter the uk through a connecting flight (i.e not a direct flights) You will be quarantined at a hotel and u will pay for the hotel bills{which is more than a thousand pounds), please verify properly before booking your flight. In answering your number 1 question, well by agreeing to UKVI terms and conditions which include verification of the documents used in your application you have given them access and your consent to screen the hell outta you including your closing balance with your financial institution. Don’t be too sure that they won’t check your balance. I saw a refusal letter for May start whereby the person pulled out the funds and he was fished out. Play your ball well.

If its less than 30 days, go ahead and use it. They will check if the bank statement is authentic but they cannot check your balance. Nobody can do that

I think earlier in the thread someone posted a rejection letter where the officer stated that the balance had dropped as such they were not satisfied he had access to the funds he presented

from what I've read it's not restricted to any group so either self service or assisted, you should be able to walk in

No, turkey is on the red list as such you would need purchase a quarantine package which is more expensive than whatever you are going to save on flight fare

Any 28 day period before your Visa application, as long as you have CONTINUOUSLY held that funds in your account within that period

It's best to be patient ooh, UKVI is not running anywhere if you read up previous pages you'd see where it is strongly advised to wait for your statement of account to mature before starting your application or paying fees.

You don't understand my question. Upload of documents is different from visa application cuz it seems upload of documents come after submission. Allow people that have gone through the process to answer. That's why there an assisted service where you pay for UKVI staff to upload documents for you.

boya you will go and read gov.uk website, it is stated clearly there that the date the ECO would use for financial evidence is the date you paid for your application. Application date is different from biometric date

Tell me how you hope to get to the TLS website to book your biometrics date without paying for the visa application fee?

No, you risk being refused a visa as your funds have not been held for 28 days at the time of application.

Guys, good morning, does IOM operate on Saturdays? the date I think I got for the TB test appointment is the 17th and it's on a Saturday, I can't remember if it was the 16th or 17th because I went there to book on 15th.

Unless you have a transit visa, you shouldn't be looking at Airfrance

I have an uncle who is a citizen and I would like to use him as my sponsor and also get a consent letter that he's willing to pay for remaining tuition fees and my wellbeing. Which means I would need his bank statement as my PoF. Is this attainable and can it possibly work in order to get a Visa.
