Fidelity's Q1 2017 will be very crazy (in a good way) because Q1 2016 was very significantly degraded by impairments. PAT for 2017 may be 70 - 100% higher than 2016. Same goes for the other banks. |

Raider76:16k last year. Don't over dramatize the fall in PAT. Impairments almost slaughtered everybody last year. Even with impairments they still kept the PAT respectable. |
Fidelity has been top 10 on the vol chart every single week since Jan. I knew something was cooking when they had cross deals at N0.91 and when there was a very sharp spike in vol with very heavy bids at N0.87. That's what experience on the NSE brings you, not over analysing charts ![]() |

Tritri:The two SIB's there could very easily and predictably be Skye and Diamond. Diamond has had negative eps since forever. Skye has been dead for more than 2 years now. The other none SIB on that list could be Unity which had a disastrous FY 2016 result. Heritage, although not quoted, is also rumoured to be having liquidity issues. You bypassed these ones and started mentioning Fidelity and Sterling. Next time make informed posts on issues, not just post for posting sake and nearly giving someone heart attack ![]() |
Intendy:I came down hard on him cos I'm an interested party in one of those stocks. You can imagine how crazy i felt when I saw his post and opened to verify, only to see the sharp contrast between what he posted and what the link said. He could easily have given me a heart attack ![]() |
Tritri:You didn't even open the link you posted and you're here typing trash. Sterling and Fidelity are SIB's abi? Nonsense post. |
Tuale to those people in the house with enough kindness in their hearts and experience to caution others about the scam called Oando. Those of us that were on this forum in 2014, remember how the O n O boys took complete control of this forum, ranting about how Oando would make billionaires of us very soon. The share price dived from N20 to N5 thereafter, within a short period. Their management then decided to withhold results to hide the true position of things. Wale Tinubu will use any trick in the book to deceive shareholders into believing Oando is still a going concern. The day it will collapse on your heads, you'll be trapped with no one to buy from you. All these new fancy guys with their fancy charts spewing nonsense about technicals, you'll soon understand why the NSE is called a scam market ![]() |
Saintp:Whose business is it that Jubrin didn't challenge his suspension in court? There is already a legal precedent that the House of Reps has no power to suspend a member for more than 2 weeks. Dino melaye vs the house of reps made it very clear. |
The difference between the 2 lawyers is clear. Falana cited references in Tony momoh Vs the Senate, to show that the Senate or any Parliament has no right to arbitrarily summon anyone especially to settle political scores. At best the Senate can sue for libel. On Ndume's suspension, Falana cited Dino melaye Vs the house of representatives to show that the house has no power to suspend a lawmaker for even a single day. There are already precedents for these cases. The courts have already interpreted Mike Ozekhome's postulations. Ozekhome is acting and behaving like he doesn't read legal reports. Besides, anything he says is morally tainted since he has corruption cases with the EFCC for money laundering pending in court. |
modelsms10:You have absolutely nothing to say. I respect you because you have chosen the honorable path in shutting up in the face of your ignorance, unlike some others that would still argue inspite of their obvious ignorance. |
princematz:The Nigerian police force that we all know did not travel interstate from Port Harcourt to Ibadan, to arrest someone for free because of an Instagram post. That's common sense which I suspect you're lacking. |
princematz:Unfortunately you're the biggest illiterate on this forum. The law of the land gives you no right to sue somebody for libel and then pay the police to transport them from one state to another. That's how dictators operate. How can you lock someone up for defamation? Is this Iraq or Syria? Even the ruthless Dino melaye sued Sahara reporters for damages, he didn't call for Sowore's arrest because its not in our laws to arrest anyone for defamation. Kemi's crime is an Instagram post!!! |
modelsms10:You have no idea what you're on about. Read and enlighten yourself. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/01/falana-illegality-criminal-libel-nigeria/ |
Boleyndynasty2:http://litigation.findlaw.com/filing-a-lawsuit/civil-court-cases.html Please read and enlighten yourself. |
Boleyndynasty2:You're still not getting it and its annoying! That Pastor has no right to get her locked up. If she defamed him, the best he can do is drag her to court and sue for damages, same thing Dino did to Sowore. But in order to show power, this "Pastor" paid the police to travel down from Port Harcourt to Ibadan to arrest her and take her back to Port Harcourt. For a purely civil matter (Civil in this case meaning a case that should not attract any prison sentence). This "Pastor" is breaking several laws just to prove that he has power. That is my problem with this case. |
Boleyndynasty2:The point I'm making is that its only in oppressive countries with dictators that journalists are locked up for criticizing people. How much more, a pastor, locking someone up for an Instagram post!!! He actually paid the police to travel from Port Harcourt down to Ibadan to arrest her and take her back to PH, because of an Instagram post!!! Even if he was defamed, it is purely a civil matter, not criminal. At best attracting a fine. Not prison! If you know the number of laws that have been broken and illegalities that have been perpetuated on top this Kemi's case you will bow. And its being done by a Pastor trying to show power!!! A pastor!!! |
jackydon:He arranged for her to be locked up for an Instagram post!!! She didn't dupe him, didn't steal from him, didn't burgle his house, but posted something about him on Instagram!!! is that one a pastor or Saddam Hussein? From this "pastors" reaction to Kemi's Instagram post, we can deduce that kemi was probably telling the truth. |
Anybody that takes Wike serious is an idiot, no apologies. This is a man that abandoned the Rivers Monorail and decided instead to build a Secretariat for the NBA and an ecunemerical centre that nobody asked for. Now he's claiming he wants to construct roads in Benue! What an idiot! When Cross river, Abuja and Lagos finish with their monorail projects, the people of Rivers will have some serious wailing to do. Stupid thug of a governor. |
