That man seated with a red cap hasn't paid salaries for months, despite collecting more than N25billion from the centre through bail out funds and Paris club refunds.

The bet on diamond could have gone either way. Those who entered yesterday did so with the expectation of bull ride when the result is finally released like in the case of Fidelity...It was a big gamble! Forget TA and FA....On the flip side, imagine if diamond had released a fantastic result, the opposite would have happened....

This might be the BIGGEST loss in my portfolio this year.....Pure case of Investment gone bad. .....Bad market grin
Three simple facts could have kept anyone from buying diamond last week or yesterday.
1. Diamonds q1-3 results which are available with a simple google search.
2. Diamonds dividend history which is abysmal
3. The knowledge that the FY (whose direction you would have already known if you had studied 1) could come out anytime and catch you off guard.
PoliticsRe: Fayose In Abuja Court For Nnamdi Kanu's Trial (Photo) by duni04(m): 11:20am On Apr 25, 2017
wouldn't be surprised to hear Fayose is using Ekiti bailout to pay SAN's N200M naira to defend Kanu. Ekiti is truly finished!! Just this morning it was on the front-page that Fayose hasn't paid salaries for months, even after collecting bailout funds and Paris club refunds!!!! Are people not asking questions in that state?? What is going on?
PoliticsRe: 12 States Owe Salaries Despite Bailout Funds From FG by duni04(m): 8:37am On Apr 25, 2017
And Saraki still had the mind to deduct N3.5billion from the bailout fund to buy jewellery in Dubai and spread to his friends. Yari in Zamfara had the mind to use N500million from his States bailout to pay off his personal mortgage. These people are ruthless! Osun, Oyo and Ekiti are being run be scumbags. Why are journalists not tracking what these states are using the Paris club refunds and bailout funds for? Where is Fayose spending Ekiti's bailout? Is he using it to buy rice to distribute on the streets of Ado or has he used it to settle his legal fees with Ozekhome?

I think I understand you... you're of the opinion that the stocks are being manipulated to "slaughter" people...
...even though I don't hold similar sentiment about the market, it is my desire to help people understand market structure. We can then add fundamentals or technicals to it. By this, the issue of manipulation will reduce, or people will avoid been manipulated...
P& D is not sentiment, it actually happens. Its illegal in many countries but here anything goes.

@duni04, you don't need to be rejoicing over anyone that bought at 1.06 today, even the price action informed people of potential reversal of the stock before the report came out!

Even at that, if the result is bad, how dip do you think the stock can go in your own imagination?

Let me remind you of what "Tony" did to UBA stock in 2015... Market marker are ready to play on fear of people from tomorrow...
grin grin grin grin grin
Really I'm not rejoicing. Its more like venting my frustration at the same cycle repeating itself. Insiders and the P & D people making pigs out of ordinary folks. Its just unfortunate that the last entrants on that bus will get thrown off violently and fatally. Those Transcorp, Diamond and FBNH rallies last week were classic P & D. Its no coincidence that the results are all coming in today. Besides who knows, Mr market may still push them further up and load yet more pigs grin

Did you open the link at all huh
Transcorp's Q1? Yes I did. Group EPS declined 18% to 0.91. Company EPS declined 35% to 0.46. I wonder where Tony's promise of dividend will come from. All things being equal, tomorrow should be bloody for Transcorp. The pigs will get their heads chopped off as always. God help those who bought at 1.06 grin

Since 2009 till date fidelity has been trading at an average of N1:00k.
It's an igbo man bank and conservative ness is in our blood so they can't pull such strings.

So better watch out for a company been managed by a Yoruba man or delta man to pull such strings.
I hope you've seen your Transcorp q1. Enjoy the ride to N6 grin
FYI fidelity hasn't traded this low in years. Even the N1 valuation you're giving it (still under valued at this price) has a 20% upside at current price.

In May 2012 I bought my very 1st batch of Transcorp @53kobo and bought my 2nd batch in April 2013 @#3:80 same year i disposed everything @#4:50K it later traded above N7.10k and dropped to 66kobo this March before building this current support and history is about to repeat itself.
Based on what premise? Is there a new product? Have they struck oil in the ND? The power plant in Ugheli has stopped leaking FX? Realignment of portfolio holdings, debt or what? Or we're just taking uncle Tony's promise of dividend next year hook, line and sinker?

JUST THINKING: Every year a stock does magic, that if one identified early, would have greatly profited him. Can we suggest and analyse to benefit us here? At times, some people may have hidden/insider knowledge or just amazingly interesting insights

Last year, DANGFLOUR moved below N1.00 to over N4.00.
I almost took a cutlass to question the elders in my village.... grin
That journey was done through level grounds, hills and valleys. It was like magic. At times the fundamentals, at other times the Technicals threw us all overboard on that journey, our life jacket was our STOP LOSS and POSITION SIZES.... grin

Which stock do we think will do this in 2017 or are all stocks presently overvalued?

Lets kick start an interesting discussion... grin
When Fidelity is staring you right in the face at 0.83k. Some people are just........ grin

Only the P & D guys, their insider friends and a few lucky ones make money on the likes of Transcorp, Diamond and Oando. The rest make crumbs or get slaughtered like pigs. They hoard their terrible results, Bid them up and then dump on the hopeless pigs before releasing the results, Diamond style. Enjoy your 0k div diamond holders and good luck at the market tomorrow grin

Why are you refering to 2016 result again?
Q1 results of a new financial year is a starting point for investors to have a knowledge of how the year will be for companies. Most stocks that did not do well last may use this Q1 results to prove they are back to profitability.
pls grow up.
Prophet Loco, have you seen the q1? grin

Only Oando may qualify as junk from your list. You can mark this post for reference purposes in 2 years or less.
I'm really curious to know exactly what I missed out on in the hundreds of pages of Transcorps FY 2016.

I doubt you looked at the entire result. While the PAT and EPS are very important components of a company's result, they are not all there is to a company's result. Those multiple pages(some over 100pages) in the Annual Reports of companies contain loads of information.
Like?

Why didnt you call it a junk stock all these while it has been on bid?
Now the offers are turning up,it has become junk.
I have been reading/watching your posts.I dont think you invest in stocks.Look like you are a market watcher.

Note:if you notice anything in a stock, dont hesitate to say it out before it is late.
Put a crown on its head for a day, dress it in fine robes for a minute, a chicken will always remain a chicken. Transcorp, Diamond and Oando are junk. Their books say so not me. Just because a few people come around and bid them up for a week so they can later dump on some ignorant pigs doesn't change their status as junk.

Was actually referring to people that went to bid at 1.06 after reading posts on this thread, especially the one you made about Transcorp hitting 2.14 soon. And yea judging by the FY 2016, Transcorp aptly fits into the junk status grin

grin to those that went to bid and buy junk transcorp at 1.06 after reading posts on this thread. With all the quality stocks on the market, how some people will be filling their portfolios with junk and negative EPS baffles me.

5DMindset:
Nigerians are just not reading history. There is no country that went through what we have gone through, that will not break up or go through a crazy positive revolution using the instrumentation of a Savior Figure. Rwanda had and still has that. Nigeria lacks it. Because our politics and Constitutions are not tailored to govern the country but to make some religions and ethnicity supreme over others.

So, if the constitution is faulty, and the National Conference Resolutions are thrown away by the Northern Oligarch, then the South should insist on its implementation or terminate the Execution of the 1914 Amalgamation.

You can not build a house that has no foundation, it collapses and kill the construction workers.

It is either Restructuring or Secession......And we do not have to go to war before going back to the Restructuring or Secession. Except we want the second civil war.

This Senator has spoken truth and will die, ...and guess what, even if he spoke the lies, he will also die. We all die, so its better to say teh truth and die.
Bros we don't need any of these things you're highlighting. We already have strictures in place to deal with our needs. Every democracy is an evolution of ideals and governance. Our democracy is evolving. The only thing we need is more accountability, less corruption and more responsibility. We need our public officers to be more accountable. We need our law and order with police and security reforms. We need to devote resources where they are needed. But restructuring or all these other nonsense that these disgruntled elements are spewing. Jobs, more hospitals and schools, zero corruption from our public officers and an economy that works. That's all.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s Breakup Is Inevitable – Senator Okurounmu by duni04(m): 7:31pm On Apr 22, 2017
All this nonsense talk about the North doing this or that to Nigeria is starting to irritate me. Was it the Emir of Kano that forced Orji Uzor Kalu to steal billions from Abia, Nnamdi Kanu's home state, instead of building roads and hospitals? Is it the Sultan of Sokoto that goes around Ado, distributing bags of rice and N200 naira notes from the Federation Account on the streets of Ado instead of Building hospitals and roads? Or maybe its the Shehu of Borno that steals all the billions meant for the NDDC and the SS states.
Please let's stop acting like idiots and start thinking with our heads. Let's hold our LG chairmen and State governors to account. The Centre is gradually being cleansed. Let's extend this cleansing action locally and stop whining about this North nonsense.

Goddex:

GEJ as president had every authority to approve money for an agency.

So, are Buhari's men that took over from May 2015 telling us that NIA did not return the unspent money back to FG at the end of 2015 and even 2016? or was it GEJ's responsibility again to enforce that even after leaving office?

Buhari and the APC strategists have succeeded in covering-up this matter.

Please don't be foolish. Do you have any idea what USD290million is? That's more than a quarter of a billion dollars. What on earth was the NIA supossed to do with that money that can conveniently build a 300MW power station in Lagos? And to make matters worse, it was in raw cash!!! The perpetrators have absolutely no defence.

Is like you miss their bus, their 2016 q3 EPs was above #1.15
EPS for q3 was 117k, 17% lower than the 138k they declared in q3 2015. Except you're expecting them to fork out the entire q3 earnings for you as dividend....
Bloomberg puts their EPS ttm(summation previous 4 quarters) as 37k. 15k will be a miracle from this EPS.
