buchichukwu69: Nna, all these divisive pdp tactics are counterproductive. Wetin concern Ambode with this article now? Remember both Ambode and Jimi are yorubas. While Ambode does his campaign as if we're all same in Lagos, Jimi is constantly talking about indigines and nonindigines. So who is really divisive. Don't mind those îdiots that are still living in the biafran era. Always causing trouble where ever they go; Malaysia, India, China, USA. Instead of using thugs this time around, the PDP has selected to use a tribe synonymous with trouble making to disrupt our elections. |

EroticAngelina: RUBBISH!!!!! arrant nonsense!!!! These Yoruba ppl are so selfish and pompous!
If not that Lagos was once the capital of Nigeria, It would have been a local minor state like every other state in this country!! This discrimination towards Igbo people by yorubas is getting out of hand! for starters, why on earth should that useless oba threaten igbos in Lagos?? Are we not free to vote whoever we want?? That oba and his supporters are sent to destroy the peace of this country!
What I really wanna understand is what exactly did Igbo ppl do to this man This inhumane discrimination has been going on for a long time! As long as u are a citizen of Nigeria, u have every right to settle down wherever u want in Nigeria.
we don't discriminate against any tribe in igboland, so why should they? In case they didn't know, igbos also took part in developing Lagos. Igbos are the most hardworking ppl in Nigeria(and I'm not saying that bkus I'm Igbo, its the fvcking truth. just like everybody knows Yorubas like education and parties)
for Pete's sake, we are the same ppl, human beings. just like someone said, tribes are just created to give power, it doesn't differentiate u from others.
#peace! See this Igbo prostitute. U better STFU and face ur prostitution on Abuja streets. Wots ur business with Lagos? Chooking mouth in something wey no concern u. Nonsense |

Politics › Re: Akpabio Denies APC Use Of Stadium by duni04(m): 2:33pm On Apr 10, 2015 |
ducii: The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, has refused the All Progressives Congress the use of Uyo Township Stadium for the hosting of President-elect, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
Buhari was scheduled to visit Akwa Ibom on Thursday, but as the state government denied the APC use of the Uyo Township Stadium, the visit had to be postponed till after the governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections.
The letter denying the APC the use of the stadium emanated from the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Youth and Sports, dated April 7, with ref. No. MYS/AD/146/VOL. 11/142 and made available to newsmen on Thursday.
The letter, which was signed by Mr. Nse Edem, on behalf of the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Akan Uko, stated that the request to use the stadium was denied because the Peoples Democratic Party in the state had applied to use it earlier.
“I am directed to refer to your letter of April 6, 2015 on the request for the use of Uyo Township Stadium and to inform you that the ministry had already approved the use of the stadium to the Peoples Democratic Party on April 9.
“You are by this letter please requested to look for any other alternative venue since the stadium had already been booked and would not be free for April 9.”
Reacting to the development, the Head of Media and Publicity, Umana Okon Umana Campaign Organisation, Mr. Iboro Otongaran, said the President-elect would not visit the state as scheduled due to the denial of the APC the use of the venue.
He said that efforts to get alternative venue had proved abortive as the party was so confident that the Uyo township stadium would be approved.
He called on the APC supporters not to worry, but to go out en masse on Saturday to vote for Umana as Akwa Ibom governor and all other APC candidates in the state House of Assembly.
http://www.punchng.com/news/akpabio-denies-apc-use-of-stadium/ This is the height of cluelessness. No plan B? They didn't consider the risk that the PDP government that built the stadium would not allow them use it? For this alone i pray the APC candidate doesn't win the governorship election tomorrow. The man is clueless |

Elai147: For those that are scared of illiquid stocks, a good way to sell will be to place your order at lowest price. E.g, during pre market, you can minus 5% from the current price and make sure your order is the first on offer at that price (Ref price minus 5% @pre market). If the allowed price range adjusts after pre market, you may need to adjust your price as well so it remains the lowest offer price. This way, your order will be filled as long as the stock trades on that day (unless deals are cross trades). This does not apply to stocks on full offer since 1807 (e.g Unity bank). I usually exit Eterna and other illiquid stocks this way. Interesting |

passwelle: @ All I hail. For the newbies (whom I assume are keen to trade and are not intent on long term investments), an earlier poster here mentioned DD using charts while the Sage gave very candid and invaluable advice above. In my experience in the NSE, the more you see the less you understand. You can make money on almost every stock on our bourse (save for the deadwoods). Charts will mislead but may be accurate occasionally. Brokers/individuals that trade can make your chart show what they want you to see (both volume and price action e.g stdinsure, rtbriscoe, transexpr, costain etc) .... This game is one of fastest fingers first, either to enter or to exit. Don't gamble what you cant afford to lose. Dont over diversify. You dont have to be in every stock gaining. Cut your losses short and let your winners run (very vital so you know when to exit). Most importantly be observant, its unbelievable how much you can make from market making activities. I was shocked when i saw someone mention this stock earlier today on NSEMPA as a form of subtle advertisment. I know alot of people will fall prey. You're absolutely spot on. |

Aks: You can take this to the bank: Oando sell off will continue till it reaches N13+ also Transcorp Sell off will continue till it reaches N2.80+. The major arm of Heirs holdings bringing in the revenue is the Hotel business which is now a seperate entity. BTW, Oando re-entry @ anything close to N14 won't be a bad option
I pity those guys taking myjoy08 advice hook, line and sinker. I doubt if this guy invest @ all on NSE. All he does is to recommend BUY, BUY, BUYYYYYYYYYYY which is a no brainer to me Despite the separation from the hotel business, revenues still grew 120% from N18 billion to N41billion. The problem with the result was with the last quarter. Something happened in the last quarter to jack up finance costs significantly and "dabaru" the entire FYE result. Transcorp is a very solid HOLD for discerning investors. |

Moneysage: When FAITH, as it were in religious circles, is brought into the stock market, then we have sound recipe for dashed hopes and sleepless nights.
Audacious statements by monkey hunters and their cronies rarely have implications on the overall direction of the market.
In times like this - Earnings season - when all has been said and done (forecasts and shockers), what is left is for ORDINARY shareholders ( ) is to return to base:
Are you a trader? DUMP any stock whose Corporate action failed you. No time to start whining about some notorious CEO and what they did/didn't use shareholders money for, save for comic relief.
Are you a long 'termer'? STICK with stocks that have a solid history and management. Don't allow the emotions being "shared" by JIJO folks make you panic-sell.
Best wishes NSEMPA. Very true. On the whole the result was fair because despite the meager EPS, they still remembered to pay their shareholders. But it still raises a lot of questions. Revenues grew by more than 120% but i don't understand how taxation and other costs increased astronomically. Someone needs to thoroughly investigate the expenses those people are hiding under "costs". It probably includes the cost of buying Tony's new Private Jet |

zendi: Hmn.., my brother, I think you are misreading fidelity. Notice that it closed flat today instead of dropping like many in the sector. Fidelity actually wants to go above 3 bfore closure of register. But it only halted it's movement today when it saw zenith, fbnh, access and uba all running back screaming, because of one monster bear that nearly captured stanbic and gtb who had exuberantly ventured too far ahead of others up up the road. But now there is hope that the sector elephant with new found courage will motivate the bulls to rally back and subdue that terrifying bear tmorrow then fidelity anand others may continue their northwards journey. Fidelity gained throughout last week, broke its 1yr resistance and traded flat today. I think its going down from tomorrow and will probably pickup next week when the dividend yield hits 11% and before the ex div date upper monday. Just my opinion though |
