CHoccolaTE: I think this topic begs the question of where to draw the line between what you are entitled to and what you shouldn't demand in a relationship. If both the boyfriend and girlfriend are not entitled to each other's possesions just because they are not married then what about loyalty and fidelity in relationships? Why do people feel they are entitled to faithfulness from their partners before marriage? You are not entitled to take each other's property but you fully expect them to remain faithful and loyal to you alone and not date/have sex with others as if you two are already married......ironic isn't it. Ucheosefoh: lol when migrating to the west we are talking of lagos only you can't go to the east to invest when you don't have the resources na person wey get money de invest, poor people have no business with investment. Like I said earlier Igboland was destroyed during the war and we left en mass after the war to other places for survival we succeeded and we conquered, we rebuild our lands with the money we make from other places including overseas, that is why we have cities like Onitsha, Aba and Nnewi which have no government involvement to their development especially FG. These cities have been able to hold on their own without outside contributions, yorubaland have two states that have access to the sea Ogun and Lagos with the latter having the only fully functioning seaport where all business men in Aba, Onitsha, Nnewi, Kano, Kaduna and other commercial cities import their goods from, international business men will like to locate their business near seaport which is in lagos and Ogun state which is close and the governors will take advantage of it to provide the enabling environment for foreign investment, so advantages of the geographic location of yorubaland is only second to the nigerdelta while the east and the north have the least advantage being land lock regions yet we are able to hold our own. Nobody is saying you're not holding your own, but you have to accept that you're economic migrants. You're here in the West to hustle and make ends meet. If your towns and villages in the East were half as prosperous as most of the towns in the West, you guys wouldn't be coming here in droves. Infact the major cause of the overpopulation in the West is the massive influx of Easterners and Niger deltans and its poverty that is chasing you guys here. |

calaway: Understand that your Nigeria refused to develop basic infrastructure that will encourage living and enterprise in the SE & SS scenerio 80% of electronic and consumer merchandise imported into the country is done by igbos and traded by igbo. these imports have to be hualed or transported all the way to Onitsha and Aba where the are thriving international markets even though there are seaport in port harcourt, calabar and warri you hausa brothers have made it impossible to the importer to us these port and so increase cost of doing business and also generating revenue for lagos port. Visit the MMA international airport you will find that 70% of the daily international traffic are igbos yet your hausa brothers deprived these mobile group their own international airport while all the using their our oil resource to fund and service your ports. I ask you is this fair? Yet Igbo has excelled in lagos 70% of lekki and v/i extension belong to igbos in FCT 60% of property belongs to igbos all by power of enterprise. But yoruba and Hausa mogul have enjoyed government patronage to be who they are. you gotta give kudos to the igbo! Lol interesting stats! 70% of Lekki and VI belongs to Easterners? I'm sure Okoya, Oniru and the other land owning families in Lagos have eastern ancestry. 60% in Abuja? Lol |

Ucheosefoh: If poverty is having good and modern buildings and development and progress is having brown roof cities I rather choose the former. Mr man can't you people list your contributions to the development of this country outside yorubaland is that too much to ask for? Lol so you're leaving your good and modern buildings in the east to live in brown roofs in the west? I thought we already agreed that Westerners haven't contributed anything to other parts of Nigeria? I can't imagine myself waking up and packing my bags to travel to the East and invest anything. Even the thought of it is funny. When you people don't even like your place enough to stay there and develop it, I'll be the one to go and invest there? The North and East of Nigreria are almost the same, Poverty and security wise. No incentive to go and contribute anything there. |

ichidodo: There are more eastern immigrants because most economic facilities and infrastructures built by the colonials and FG are situated in Lagos....There are more eastern immigrants because most are led by the spirit of enterprise and adventure which is why Lagos has been a launchpad to eastern economic immigrants in Europe,South-east Asia,America and the Carribeans, sourcing and attracting FDI to Nigeria.....There are more eastern immigrants because western people are risk-averse,narcissists and laid-back (didn't want to say lazy) allowing for economic niches which are currently occupied by these so-called immigrants who have taken it upon themselves to own, develop land and not build brown roof shacks.Otherwise Lagos would have been one giant brown roof slum.. Funny cos most of the slums in Lagos are inhabited by migrants from the Niger Delta and the East. Ajegunle, Festac and Ikotun are popular in Lagos cos they are crime ridden and full of Easterners and people from the Niger delta. That's your contribution to Lagos. |

Ucheosefoh: Off point, is lagos the only yoruba city? Because you guys keep on mentioning it many kidnap cases have been reported in yorubaland not excluding rape and ritual cases I can't remember the last time I read report of kidnap case in Onitsha. Lagos is one of the biggest slums in the world so its not only onitsha that has slums. Many yoruba guys are in Onitsha which I have some as friends. I mention other none Igbo states why are you avoiding it by not listing yoruba contributions in those states economy, like you said the answer is none. About contributions to other regions in Nigeria, there is just no incentive for a Yoruba man in Lagos, Ibadan or Abeokuta to leave his place and go East or North, Economic incentive or otherwise. The South West is the most prosperous region in Nigeria, economically. It doesn't make sense leaving here to go to Kano or Onitsha. On the other hand, hundreds of Easterners and Northerners migrate to the south west everyday. The Northerners engage in manual labour jobs, security and small scale trading. The Easterners are mostly traders. All this talk about easterners contributing to anything is just nonsense talk. You guys are economic migrants. You said so yourself, you started coming in droves after the Civil war when Poverty was killing you in the east. |

BROS I don't want to go to nairaland archives to uproot the kidnapping, molestation, and ritual stories happening in yorubaland. I wonder why you guys have not list any contributions but I understand cus their is none Of course there is none. Am I mad? Why would I leave my comfortable life in Lagos to go and get kidnapped in the slums of Onitsha. Thank God, you finally get it! |

Ucheosefoh: lol many Igbos have mansions and businesses in lagos the likes of Cocharis, Capital oil, Young shall grow motors and group of companies which includes hotels etc, Kenedilichukwu transport company, ABC transport, to mention a few have their headquarters in Lagos even okrika sellers, spare parts sellers in ladipo, electronics sellers in Alaba top Igbo entertainers, and top Igbo executives in big companies have made huge significant contributions in the economy of lagos so they have a say in lagos affairs. List the yorubas contributions to other cities outside yorubaland. Your question is as stupid as asking a Londoner what he's contributed to Lagos cos many Lagosians own businesses in London. What incentive does any Londoner have to leave his peaceful and prosperous life and come to Nigerian to do anything? The South west is peaceful and economically richer than other regions in Nigeria. There is no incentive for any westerner to run to the east for anything, except he wants to be kidnapped or duped. That's why economic migrants like yourself can come here and brag about being successful. |

U people that are always going on about brown roofs in Ibadan and osogbo, u telling me there are no houses with brown roofs in Aba, Onitsha, Enugu and nnewi? Poznan: Do you know what a research is? Do u understand how many that are made just to publish this? Read one article of 'Watching the World' in Awake then u can understand what i mean. On the premise of the research done, self-service leads to homosexuality. It is not a JW teaching. It is fact gathered from scientific research. Do yours and prove this one wrong I'm not even going to bother searching cos it doesn't even make sense. If more than 90% of men masturbatê, then going by your research, 90% of men are homosexual deviants? Masturbation is even worse with teenagers where almost 100% of them would have masturbated to orgásm by their 18th birthday (USA). So all teenagers are definitely going to be homosexual deviats? Common sense please! http://www.healthystrokes.com/young.html |

The only thing normal people and deviants have in common, sexually, is that they both masturbatê. But to say masturbatioñ leads to deviance is incorrect. You can forgive their ignorance though, we're all trying to understand what prompts a normal human being to want to stick his dîck in another mans anûs. This is the Jehova witness theory. I have mine and almost everybody has his own theory on homosexuality. |

EternalBeing: "I guess u think homosexuality is secular too; it's grossly spiritual! It is the crescendo, the height of desecration of human's conscience. That's why the devil is aggressively pushing it, he knows that it's the only sin that has ever made GOD to rain fire on Earth to consume sinners and that once u cross that line ur conscience become reprobate, dead and hell-bound." Show me Mastbator and I'll show you a potential homo. Even from comments here, those that mastbate r more soft on condemning homosexuality. It's just too obvious that the Rapture is very much about to happen. I didn't take JESUS serious until self-acclaimed satanists starts saying that JESUS should come quickly so that they can fully take over! I even heard a rap song, the gay rapper was boasting of what they'll do to "left behind" Christians after rapture. I laughed because such foolish pple forgot that even after Rapture they too will surely still die and eternity (whether in Heaven or Hell) awaits us all. So, guide ur eyes, hears and watch ur heart. I shall not miss the so very imminent Rapture IJN. Title of the song and the rapper? |
