No sir. There is hardly a Shagari era weapon system in the Nigerian armed forces today. The standard weapon of the infantry man then was the german Heckler & Kock G3 rifle. It was replaced with the Belgian FN FAL in the early nineties. Then came the Russian Kalashinokov's of which we are currently using the second (Nigeria) generation of I'm not mistaken. The other arms are the same so are airforce and naval weapon systems. Very few Shagari era planes and ships survive.
In early 60s, Nigerian armed forces were equipped with world II vintage infantry weapons such as British Enfield and Carbines from USA. During and after the civil war, Nigerian armed forces have been equipped with anything from AK 47, G3 to Belgian FN FAL.

Who in the SW is threatening Igbos?

What of all the allocation to the SE states over the years? Where has the money gone?

The foolish mofos, so called elites of Igboland what are they doing with money allocated to your states for development.

they are busy bringing the money to Lagos so they can flex with Yoruba people who are staying jeje-ly in their own region.

All Igbo past commissioners, governors and senior civil servants have build palatial homes in Lagos with your Igbo money.
Do you have any shred of evidence Nigeria has been allocating funds specifically for the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of the region where the civil war was actually fought? I guess the above post is born out of ill-informed mind. By the way, no Igbo person gives a ratass about an imaginary threat from SW.

now ...we accept jonathan has failed and also accept to vote for him ....that means accepting to vote a failure ....why wony people fail us since igbos reward failure
If you really know Buhari, you will be forced to reciprocate on his “Good Morning” greetings. There is a plan in the pipeline to compete with intended toll from the Niger Bridge at Asaba. There are many ways to cross a river.

Is the nigerian military prepared for this kind of unconventional warfare ? Because he is in desert fatigue and a supposedly kevlar protected vest makes him well kitted. And ready for boko haram ? Only SF are kitted with side arms o !
Nigeria’s roadside police is even well equipped to punch a combative hole on Boko Haram.

Nigeria does not need any revolution but disintegration. Of course, the convicted soldiers should be shot according to the military code. I guess thanks should go to Obasanjo and his fellow knuckles heads that decreed mutiny and coup are punishable by death. There was no such clause in 1966 Nigeria yet dingbats are insinuating that January 15, 1966 coup plotters should have been shot.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Soldier Sentenced To Death For Mutiny Cries Out On FaceBook by Duru1(m): 4:33pm On Dec 19, 2014
The picture of the soldier in the post depicts a well-kitted soldier for any military operations. A soldier does not need to have the same weapons as the opposing side in order to engage in a battle. Nigerian infantry battalion is equipped with AK 47 and side arms which are enough to deal with BK. Only fools dream about perfect world.

Mallam Rochas Okorocha is a runaway freight train that is bereaved of human intellect. It is not a surprise to find Imo State in absolute ruin. The dumbass junk does not owe apology to anybody however Ndigbo in general and Imo State in particular must make sure the Mallam is punished for his political blunders.

It appears you know absolutely nothing about what constitutes political patronage. The above post clearly indicted you to the last word. Ndiigbo are not sheep that tend to cross dangerous roads rather sheepishly because one goofy sheep has chosen to do so. What has Ndiigbo being domiciled in all the states in Nigeria got to do with political support for one of their own?
Politics › Re: How Far Can Jonathan Go In Southwest? by Duru1(m): 1:39pm On Dec 14, 2014
The SW political saga in Nigeria has nothing to do with corruption or lack thereof but all about loyalty to jihadists. More than half the populations of SW are fundamental loyalists of jihad.

Arrant nonsense!!! If Col. Goddy Udechukwu was a 2nd Lieutenant and posted to 2nd Brigade in Ikeja, Gen. M. Buhari would have shot him to death in 1966. Hyenas do not lose their spots.

Nigeria is what it is, a practical jungle. How does lack of interest to engage in formal education in one state relatively determines the interests of others in another state? If Nigeria is actually a “One-Nigeria” as goofy jackasses will assume, there should be no need for any “quota admission”.
Politics › Re: BREAKING: APC Concludes On Oshiomole As Buhari Running Mate by Duru1(m): 1:12pm On Dec 14, 2014
APC is a rehearsal of what happened during and after 1804 jihad. The Fulani and Hausa in APC are very methodical in appointing the party’s officials. They have made sure that any appointed or elected officials of the APC is either a jihadist or fundamental loyalist. It does not sound as a surprise if Oshiomole is penciled as VP’s candidate for APC instead of Amaechi.

Who doesn't knw that Jonathan doesn't in any reasonable judgment, he lack what leadership entails.

The sagacity, enigma n doggedness or if u like leadership charisma is deficient n serially lacking in Jonathan. 6yrs gone nothin to show nt even to improve the lots of nigerians upon whose essence govt exist. Is either he doesn't understnd what govt business is or doestnt enjoy the knw-how n temerity to b a good leader.

So what's Jonathan's business in govt? Why hv we allowed sentiment to wreck our dignity as a nation thereby rubbing us of meaningful development. We all av a stake to understand that govt is a social contract btw the pple that's y sovereignty belongs to the pple.

Why do we neglect merit for petty sentiments n @ the expenses of good development?
I weep for dis contraption...pls let yoruba go!

The failed APC Presidential aspirant rushed back to Imo state rushed back to Imo state to take back the ticket from his son in-law and the sole contestant to the ticket. a
Okorocha has earlier warned other Imo APC governorship aspirants to stay away from the ticket.

If president Jonathan had acted within 48hours when Chibok was invaded, this girl would have been with her parents having a chance of an education. Unfortunately, due to his carelessness, incompetence, insensitivity, insincerity, ineptitude, weakness, wickedness and greed, he only accepted that girls were kidnapped 18 days after the incident. Now this girl has been brainwashed to detonate herself and kill others.

This is the 13 year old that tried to blow up Kano yet again! By the way, is the President and his Boko boys trying to instill fear in the largest voting population in the North, to prevent them from voting our general?

Stop ranting lies.
Obi is a political nympho before and after Ikemba. This is the same PDP that did every available injustices to Obi? How much of short memory you lot got about those that wanted to burn down Anambra because of Obi.
As far as Nigeria crazy politics is concerned, you cannot compare Rochas and Obi in political clout. Without Rochas APGA would have been rigged out again by Ohakim and his gangs in 2011. Obi's re-election was Ngige/PDP vs Ikemba, nothing to do with Obi.
Rochas fought PDP in Imo without Ikemba who was already very ill and now you are lying to yourself?

Once Ikemba died Obi abandoned APGA and start following Jonathan like a puppy.
You cannot blame Rochas who at least has a higher ambition as an independent thinking person when he realized that Umeh and Obi has turned APGA into a subsidiary of PDP that are not even willing to field their own presidential candidate in elections.

When did a privately successful Igboman become a water career for a dumb Ijaw man, who by a mere stroke of luck and misfortune of others hit a jackpot of leadership and lacking any clue as to what to do with it?
It is an insult to a proud Igbo sons like me. That's not the way we are raised.

I hope the Igbo will Allow him and support him in the near future. He seems the surest bet to Aso Rock by the Igbos. The man is sound.

Rochas you have in your own way restored the pride of the igbo, you have thought me to aspire even if the world is against me, my Gov my Gov your time to rule Nigeria will come,
Nobody is casting aspersions on Rochas Okorocha’s idiotic attempt to govern the jungle called Nigeria. Critics of Okorocha were all about the manners the street tout is going about it. Rochas Okorocha failed in his idiotic bid to secure a position of gatekeeper in APC only to turnaround and impose himself as the gubernatorial candidate of APC in Imo State. The last time I checked though, Imo State does not belong to Okorosha and his gullible supporters. An armed robber is trying to eke out a living but the armed robber’s approach is damnably repulsive.
