The problem is that they are not being allowed to look for solutions. The coach would rather want them to keep worthless possession at the back and that will always lead to them losing the ball in dangerous positions.

I don't know how the coach can justify dropping Anam Imo as striker after her game against Germany. Real wingers like Bello should be put on the flanks and Ajibade should play behind Anam. Her creativity is very underrated, she can unlock any defense with her accurate long ball just like she did against Spain a couple years ago.

I don't think 10 will play the coach seems set on 4, 11 and 7. I think they are all good players but the coach must instruct one to stay in front of the defense at all times. I would nominate #11 Amoo to do that based on the fact that Ucheibe #4 can cover so much ground with her long legs and Efih #7 is Iniesta in his female Nigerian form.

I would bring back our captain as a CB and play crying Mary #13 as RB.

The goalkeeper is very good and there are few other talented players on the squad such as #7, #4, #15, #9, #17 #12 and #13. The jersey #8 is good but too selfish while #14 is a bit lazy. If the Nigeria U20 wishes to proceed further in this competition, the handlers must find good substitutes for jersey numbers 11, 14, 8 and 5. In addition, the baggy shorts worn by these girls should be done away. For example, Joy Duru, though very solid player was flapping all over the field with silly baggy short which is aerodynamically unfitted. Shorts worn by Nigerian girls are also rough on the eyes which make them look very none athletic. Compared with Haitian or American soccer shorts which make the players look very athletic and fast, Nigerian girls look like grocery pickers.

More often than not, when Rasheedat Ajibade scores, the Falconets win.

In the opening game of Group D of the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Saint Malo on Monday, the Nigeria team lost 1-0 to Germany, Ajibade was below her best.

There’s a chance for redemption with games against Haiti and China to follow in the tight Pool.

It took a little while for the FC Robo Queens skipper to hit her straps on Monday but once she did, the Falconets certainly reaped the benefits.

The hard-working yet classy attacker scored 10 goals in the qualifiers and chipped in some goals in the friendlies.

Obviously, Ajibade is not deployed as a central forward – as the Anam Imo – but her role out wide and cutting inside is enormously important as it fits in with the playmaking style of Bashirat Amoo, Peace Efih and Adebisi Saheed.

It would be unfair to label the Falconets a one-woman team, as there is plenty of quality floating about in the team, but it is hard to look past the reliance Christopher Danjuma’s team has on Ajibade.

Wait a minute! The team missed the services of Monday Gift who was suspended after accumulation of cards in the qualifiers. Could it be that she missed the influence of Chindinma Okeke who played as a central defender on Monday?

Let’s hope for Nigeria’s sake that Ajibade, who is as fit as a butcher’s dog, remains running on top of the ground and operating in her customary aggressive manner otherwise any hint of qualifying from Group D will soon be put to bed.

Impressed by Zakari's performance, Gov. Shettima invited Zakari and his mother, Jummai Galadima, where he honoured him with N5m full scholarship to study Electrical Engineering at Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State under the Borno State Ministry of Higher Education.

The Governor said since he will be completing his tenure in 2019, he prefers to approve payment upfront in order to ensure that Isreal, who made nine distinctions after taking this year’s West African Examination Council's (WAEC) papers, does not have to follow-up on any tuition at the State scholarship board.

"Israel, as his mother has told us, was raised as an orphan. The mother lost her husband who was a Major in the Nigerian Army about 14 years ago and she singlehandedly raised three children.

"Israel is the second of her children. She works in Lagos as a Banker, we don't have to make her travel all the way to Maiduguri again to pursue any payment.

She has done her part by raising a child with excellence, and that child has made Borno State very proud. It's our turn to support him.

"I will suggest that the mother pays all the fees upfront to avoid any tuition increase in future. I am particular about Israel because he was raised as an orphan" Shettima said.

Earlier in her remarks, Mrs. Jummai Galadima, the mother, thanked Governor Kashim Shettima for the support for her son.

Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday fired Lawal Daura, Director-General of the Department of State Service and appointed Mathew Seiyefa as the Acting Director-General of the security unit.

Mathew Seiyefa, who hails from Bayelsa State, was before his new appointment the most senior director in the DSS – assistant DG. He was also the Director, Institute of Security Studies, Abuja.

Chiamaka Nnadozie: Her team's player of the match. She produced six world class saves.
The 17yrs old Rivers Angels goalkeeper has proven that she is no doubt the Superfalcon future no1 after the Likes of Oluehi and Alaba. she was confident and calm with sharp reflexes 8/10.
Opeyemi Sunday: The full back was contended with defending her territory and hardly ventured forward and was unable to bring some pullout from the back 5/10.
Glory Ogbonna: Ogbonna was assured at the Leftback, she maintained her usual sense of calmness, composure and concentration. she need to bring in her experience of training with the Superfalcons 6/10.
Mary Ologbosere: It's rare to see the Rivers Angels youngster feature at central defence. She relished the moment,she delivered some long balls from the back from her unusual position. 6/10
Chidinma Okeke: Another makeshift defender, who was confident marshalling the back four,The striker turned defender made good tackles and was excellent with her aerial abilities. 7/10
Peace Efih: The Edo Queens midfielder made crucial blocks and almost equalized but her bullet went off the post. 7/10

I am really impressed with the plays of these two kids. It looks like Nigeria came to play against Germany with only the goalkeeper. What about the emergency defender in Okeke, a striker turned CB? These kids were letdown by their country. From the look of things, they were not fed properly. The presence of Ijamilusi was missed at the midfield.
