He called for reorientation of youths to repair the broken political relations between the North and the East and end the existing hatred and division between them.“We have failed as leaders hence the campaign of hate for one another; we need to take responsibility and end it.“We need to rise and take steps to end it and get rid of the inherent hatred and division we inherited from the colonial masters,” he said.
Okorocha also said that agitation over the leadership of the country by the different geo-political zones in the country was an ill-wind which had not done something good to the country.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, the youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, on Tuesday, said Ndigbo must produce the country’s President in 2019.
A Northerner could be the Vice President in 2019, according to the Igbo youths.

The irate youths noted that their position on the 2019 elections was largely informed by the North’s opposition to calls for restructuring, as well as the quit ultimatum given to Igbos living in the North by a coalition of Northern groups.
“A situation where no Igbo has been allowed close to the seat of power for decades is sheer injustice and hatred, whereas other geopolitical zones have been taking turns either as military or civilian presidents.
“More annoying is the fact that the North, a major beneficiary in this direction, has bluntly refused to heed the call for restructuring, which has been identified as the panacea to the many socio-political problems plaguing the nation.
“Besides, they (North) have also not only continued to express disdain over the demand for Biafra by IPOB and MASSOB but have also ordered Ndigbo out of the North based on these agitations,” the communique said.
Although the major pro-Biafra groups, the Indigenous People of Biafra and the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, have said they are not interested in the ‘Igbo President project’, the Ohanaeze youth wing said a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction would pacify all Igbos, including the agitators.
“Remember that former President Olusegun Obasanjo have urged Nigerians to beg the Biafra agitators – only a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction will appease Igbos. Otherwise, Biafra agitation will be inevitable.
“If there is any conspiracy against Igbo presidency, it will bring Biafra into existence,” the communique said.
The communique added, “One now wonders why Ndigbo will continue to be treated in this manner.
“Two days ago, the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, re-echoed the fact that Nigeria is in a marriage. He was quoted as saying ‘Our nation has been in marriage for a while now. Sometimes there are quarrels within that marriage. Sometimes there is disagreement. What is important is that you must remain together. You must remain united.’
“It does appear from the above that Ndigbo has perpetually remained the sacrificial lamb to keep this forced marriage together. They have remained victims of an abusive marriage, often beaten and cheated by the husband.
“We have resolved today that this grave injustice cannot continue.
“It is Igbo Presidency in 2019 with a Vice President from the North or nothing.
“We are not ready to be treated with levity and disdain in this country any longer, and for that we are calling on all Igbo sons and daughters, both at home and in the Diaspora, to key into this project.”

Nigeria is fast approaching a complete collapse. For long, many of us have raised alarm that our government and the way the system is being run are not working, and cannot guarantee delivery of basic essential services. The ominous declaration of the northern youths has left Nigerians in fear of what tomorrow may bring. Killing of families and children are the norm rather than the exception. Nigerians are nickel-and-dimed to death in their everyday life. Workers, if paid at all, are paid peonage wages. The nation's peonage wage is at subsistence level. This is simply incompatible with self-determination.
With subsistence living, Nigerians are constrained into a desperate state. Their horizon is limited to the present day, to getting enough of what they need to make it to the next. The minimum wage in Nigeria is N18,000 per month. This is criminally below the poverty line. That's a scrambling, anxious existence, narrowly bounded. It's impossible to decently feed, clothe, and shelter yourself on a wage like that, much less a family, much less have money to see the doctor, or pay for your kids college, or participate in any of those good things of life. Down to the peon level, the pursuit of happiness sounds like a bad joke.
The critical mass of our people is kept in peonage. All its vitality spent in the trenches of day-to-day survival with scant or no opportunity to develop the full range of its faculties. That's why I'm miffed by the numbed-out, dumbed-down, make belief Nigerians who still believe that Nigeria could be saved from falling apart. This is deceptive and uncharitable given our past political history and the present political realities of our nation. Those who see future or unity in one Nigeria are deluded, ignorant, unrealistic. How can the proponents of one Nigeria explain the humiliation and insult heaped on Vice President Osinbajo when the Chief of Thief Abba Kyari referred to him as “Coordinator of National Affairs” instead of Vice President? The freest and fairest presidential election in our history was won by MKO Abiola. The election was annulled by a northerner. He was robbed of the presidency and he was killed. If Osinbajo and Abiola were Hausas, nothing of such would have happened to them. Examples of such second class treatment abound. We need not bury our heads in the sand like the proverbial ostrich as if all is well with a troubled and traumatized nation suffering from history of division and disunity.
Nigeria is a country divided against itself and cannot stand. Nigeria is virtually bankrupt. The clamor for separation is the manifestation of a nation grounded as it were, without hope of moving forward after 58 years. I believe it's too late to save Nigeria from disintegration. The recent secession moves by the IPOB seems to be gathering momentum every passing day. It is more so after the Federal Government most unfortunately made a hero out of a man without known or recorded antecedents in any sphere of life by incarcerating him for close to 2 years. Now to the crux of the matter. The agitation is based on two purported issues. 1. Marginalization and 2. Actualizing the Biafran/ Ojukwu dream. While Ikemba Odumegwu Ojukwu of blessed memory had in a video chat with foreign pressmen said, "... it will be insane for anyone to provoke another civil war, I don't think it's necessary.," I personally share his opinion hence I want to dwell on point number one, 'Marginalization '. Each time I hear the word Marginalization, my first reaction has always been, "who is marginalizing who?". Today monies that would have been enough for the second Niger bridge are in the personal pockets of an Igbo woman and a one time most powerful minister in Nigeria. Her children are presently partying with American celebrities in the sky with private jets while some of us here are not sure of the next meal. This is just one case scenario out of so many and don't pretend that you do not know what I am talking about.
