There is no difference between the white and black. It's just that Spectranet no longer issues the white one. And the black one they issue these days have the latest firmware which is quite tedious to unlock.

The Spectranet variant is E5573s-606, while the MTN variant is E5573s-320. But only the E5573s-606 supports band 28 of Glo LTE.

This thing is damn true. Just call 181, and hear it directly from MTN.

I understand InterC also issues Huawei E5573s-320. Or, weren't you given a choice of mifi to choose from? That would have been easier to unlock.

No, they won't. Only MTN LTE works on it. Those specs are for the 605, not the 508 variant.

Kongapay is a payment solution, owned by Konga. But any merchant can use it.

Testmy is showing 449kbps but I have only one bar. I'm using a router, I removed the antenna from the one on the right to the one of the left which ordinarily would not not need an antenna except for areas of low coverage like this one. Without the antenna it is no bar.

Always remember that ntel supports two bands; band 3 and 8. Band 8 has better in-building penetration and travels farther than band 3. I've tested this theory and I'm convinced that it is 100% practically so.

I tested this on my Huawei E5573s-606 and Huawei E5573s-320, and the result is same everywhere. The Huawei E5573s-320 always have better reception since it supports band 8.

When it comes to speed test, speedtest.net remains the better option, because it allows you to choose test servers. That way, you can choose the best, nearest server to you. In internet speedtest, the only way to determine your true speed, is to test it on a server nearest to you. Other speed test services default to servers in the U.S. and so on. You can never determine your true speed that way.

I'm surprised the V3 didn't work for you on your Glo mifi, because that's the one I used to unlock mine. Did you upgrade the firmware of your Glo mifi? There is this firmware update prompt that showed up, but I ignored it.

I confronted them with 4g network down in my area for about 7hrs. They guy replied,

But have you tried it yourself and the coverage didn't come up? These agents can be so wrong at times.

5k for the mifi but u have to buy the sim and 10k data. That's 15k100 in total. A friend just got one from glo office today and customer care equally confirmed the price.

Maybe this doesn't apply to their Abuja Gloworld, because I bought one earlier today, and I only had to pay 5k for the Mifi and then bought 1k airtime, totalling 6k.

I ve the unlocked glo mifi, spectranet did not work on it. Not sure if I tested smile on it. Would do that later tonite and report back guys. The mtn worked with smile though. I wish we could get a universal 4gig mifi with all bands.

If you have an ntel sim, you should try it on the Glo mifi. eraly sighted the possibility of it supporting band 3(1800), which is one of the LTE band of ntel and Etisalat.

That is actually the technical specs, which is very specific. The specs was posted by Stanley08, and I don't have a link to it.

Barring any last minute hiccup, I'm going to get the modem tomorrow, so all this uncertainty will be put to rest.

Huawei doesn't make it easy for people to keep up. They keep making variants of the same model, with different LTE bands scattered across them. This is why i prefer ZTE, but ZTE MiFis aren't as popular. You can hardly find them.

It only supports Glo LTE and MTN LTE. Contrary to some wrong specs out there, it doesn't support band 3(1800).
