Where i stay in Abuja, we've been enjoying an average of 20-21hrs light for the past 3 to 4 weeks |
opalu:That description fits him perfectly. He looks the type even. |
The chief executives of UBA should be arrested immediately, especially Tony Elumelu. There is no way that someone or some organization would have up to $2 billion in your bank without knowing who that person is. You can't take $2 billion dollars from someone without vetting or doing a background check on that person. |
olubenzer:When you develop some brain, you can come back and modify your useless comment. |

The nda should keep on bombing. Let's see if it's Buhari and Tinubu's children that will bear the brunt. |
MaryWest:Do not be misled by our argument. These are facts you need to know about lte. 1. No telco in the world supports all lte bands. 2. Most telcos support just one. 3. ntel supports two, which are band 3 and 8, and band 3 is the world's most popular lte band, present in most devices meant for EMEA countries and other regions. 4. MTN plans on supporting only band 20, for starters, and band 20 isn't that popular compared to band 3. 5. All 4G lte chinco devices that are popular in Nigeria, including Infinix, Tecno, doogee and others support lte band 3. Bigger OEMs, such as Samsung, LG, Sony tend to make variants for different markets and specific variants for US telcos. You just need to buy the variant that support the lte bands your telco uses. |
OBAGADAFFI:I never said phones meant for other markets wouldn't work in Nigeria or elsewhere. There is a good reason why 99.9% of phones, no matter where bought, work on our 2g and 3g network, because our telcos use the most popular 2g/3g frequencies. For instance, our telcos use 2100mhz/3G frequency, which is world's most popular frequency, and present in virtually all phones worldwide. What I'm saying is that, 4G lte bands/frequencies are the most scattered across devices and telcos. No network in the world supports all lte bands/frequencies and you can't find a phone or device that supports all fdd and tdd lte bands. Now, you talked about the US. When OEMs, such as Samsung make a phone for telcos in the US, they usually restrict lte bands to each network in order not to be able to use them vice versa on those networks, hence different variants. I brought up the issue of variants because it's very possible that the variant of htc m8 you've doesn't have lte band 3 or band 8 support. By the way, restrictions of lte bands on a device has nothing to do with network locks. I've tried my best, and i won't argue any further. |
OBAGADAFFI:I have tried to educate you on this issue, but you just won't take correction. I'll make it clearer. OEMs make the same model of phones for different markets, also known as variants, and they specifically make special variants for each of the largest American telcos because they are the largest consumers. Now, these variants look the same on the outside, but might defer in terms of SoCs, and they usually support different lte bands depending on the market or network they are meant for. I hope I've made it more understandable to you. |
ican2020:Given the above specification, it should work. The easiest way to change your network mode to 'LTE Only' is to go to your dial pad and dial *#*#4636#*#*, then enter Phone information, scroll down and select LTE only. |
OBAGADAFFI:LTE band 3(1800), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800) - EMEA LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 8(900), 28(700) - Asia LTE band 4(1700/2100), 17(700) - T-Mobile LTE band 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 17(700) - AT&T LTE band 40(2300) - India I believe you are deliberately being mischievous, but I'll indulge you anyway. The above lte specifications are from gsmarena. It clearly shows that there are at least 5 variants of Htc one m8, made for different markets and networks. So I'll advice to find out which of the variants you own. |
OBAGADAFFI:I hope you know that there are up to 5 variants of HTC one m8, and some don't have band 3 or band 8 support? |
The hypocrisy amongst Christians is absurd. The day this news went viral, I told people that, since no one witnessed the killing, no evidence of any sorts, then people shouldn't be in a hurry to put the blame on Muslims. But I was insulted, called all sorts of names. |
Dam5reey:Of course I know VoLTE isn't band related. I mentioned it because C5, konka r1 & r2 are the only devices that works on ntel's VoLTE for now. And yes, mtn, glo, airtel and etisalat can be reached from the VoLTE. |
OBAGADAFFI:This is how you people go about spreading false info. There is not a single device that supports lte band 3 or/and 8 that I've tried on ntel that didn't work, except for the iPhones. And that is because iPhones require apple to integrate support for each and every LTE network before they can work, and they do that via OS update. This requirement is only for iPhones, ipads are exempted. According to ntel, they are in talks with apple to get their network integrated. I've personally tested the below listed devices and they all worked on ntel; BB Z30 and Q10 Nokia Lumia 1320 Sony Ericsson Xperia Z3 dual HTC one m8 and m9 Tecno Boom j8 Others I know, have used Tecno C5 on ntel, which is one of the devices that is able to make VoLTE calls on ntel. |
kahal29:True that. |
By law, the VP doubles as the coordinating minister of the economy, but the past administration violated that law. |
anigbajumo:But when the supreme court declared Wike as the winner despite clear proof that the election was marred by irregularities, you were jubilating. You haven't seen anything yet. You will wail for a long time to come. |
yudee233:apc was barred from fielding a candidate. |
IdisuleOurOwn:Pdp won only because apc couldn't field a candidate. I'm from Kogi state so I know what i'm talking about. |
I thought they said apc was none existent in the SE. Some people will have a hard time sleeping tonight. |
OLADD:You know nothing about Kogi politics, so go and sit down joor. |
HungerBAD:What is happening today was caused by the late Audu. He collected monies from some intending candidates from Kogi central, east and west senatorial zones, and imposed them on others, without conducting primaries. Of all the three imposed candidates, Dino melaye was the wiser, and the richest. He connived with inec, and they testified in his favour. |
No disrespect to your father, but in order to show him how dissatisfied you are, call him all the usual names you call apc supporters on nairaland, like Zombie, hailing hailer. Maybe, just maybe, that will force him to return to pdp. You can thank me later for this wonderful advice. |
The way I see it, comprehension is a major problem amongst our youth. |
He did same in Abuja, and nothing happened. El rufai doesn't compromise when it comes to master plan. He is a reformer, and that is the kind of person that Nigeria needs right now as its president. |
