I live 2 miles away from Aso villa, to be precise, at Area 11, yet electricity has been terrible for the past three years, so what on earth are you talking about? Keep spreading nonsense. |
Desperate PDP will stop at nothing. SMH. |
lilbabyak:Lol. Guy, you are wicked oo |
Simply because Jega has refused to play ball with PDP, and seeing the rising popularity of GMB, that's why they are bringing up all this nonsense propaganda. |
This kind of threads don't make Front page because the biased mods don't want people to know the truth. Anyway, you can only hide the truth for so long. Come FeBuhari, we shall all be here. |
Nice one. FeBuhari must come to pass. #IHAVEDECIDED #CHANGE |
In as much as i would love for us all to live in peace, it's obviously not going to happen. In fact, before the end of this day, there will be another propaganda that will make both sides lock horns. |
saymax:I'm glad to see that we still have people with brain in this country. Your parents should be proud of you. |
This needs to go to Frontpage. If it doesn't, then my opinions of the mods and owner of this site will be confirmed. |
It's technically impossible to get up to 5mb/s download speed on HSPA+. Such is only possible on 4GLTE, which i don't think eti has in naija. |
Like I have said before, cloning a sim for someone you don't know in reality but only online, isn't just naive but S.T.U.P.I.D. Those who are cloning for people, will one day regret it. Take a minute and think about the risks. You may end up getting yourself in huge trouble because of someone else's criminal activities. |
koice:Just as I thought. You are a child, and have reading comprehension problem. Therefore, I'll stop replying you. |
koice:Just so you know, I have been using Payg way before you knew about it. I have several PAYG sims. Where I live, my download speed on IDM using my Z30 as modem, goes up to 3mbs. I watch all my football matches online, but i'm not childish nor S.T.U.P.I.D like you to come online and start showing of. |
Why all these stupid screenshots? Some people will just never grow up. Stupidity of the highest order. |
arbitrage:Lol, I typed too fast and made a typo. I will modify it now. |
Opengates:If you had linked your First bank card to PayPal via First bank's PayPal wallet feature, you wouldn't have been in this situation. Anyway, try calling PayPal to see if you can resolve the situation. |
johnawf:I had that exact issue. What I did was to take a screenshot of the PayPal error page, then sent it together with my username to firstcontact@firstbanknigeria.com. Also, explain the issue properly in the body of the email, and call them afterwards to inform them that you sent such email to them. It took them two weeks to resolve it, in my case. Yours could take less. |
chinwe11: Hi guys,Which bank is that? Let me guess. GTB, right? |
oieda: Okay. You are wrong. That specific error actually suggest the OP doesn't have a token linked to his account. I know this because i experienced the same a few weeks back after I signed up for first online. What I did was to go to one of their branch and got a token for 2100 naira, then got it linked to my account. The error was gone 4 hours after getting the Token. But till today, I still can't access the PayPal tab on my account, even though i have a naira Mastercard, which is a prerequisite to access it. I have called them and made complain severally, all to no avail. They even asked me to take a screenshot of the error and email it to them, which I did, and subsequently replied me, telling me that they have escalated my issue to the appropriate unit. As i write this message, the Issue hasn't been resolved. Honestly, I'm tired of First bank and their issues. |
Well, another good news. I knew with the acceptance of Nigeria by PayPal, other good things would start to come our way. Evidently, this is another one. |
Just an update. I registered for PayPal account using my GTB naira MasterCard on the 25th of last month, and I got the verification code within 20 minutes. So after eleven days of verification, I just got refunded this evening. Though, I was debited 323.64 naira, but I was only credited back 315.90 naira, which means i only lost 8 naira or so, as a result of the transaction. I believe that's because of the buying and selling rate of GTB. |
OP, you will do well to answer the questions that have been asked by several people. You opened this thread and now you aren't answering questions. |
OP, nice share. It only stands to reason that a merchant account can accept payments. I mean, what use would a merchant account be if it can't accept payments. But my question is, can it also receive money? Has anyone sent money to you and you were able to receive it? |
Demburrows: . I believe they are working on that, according to a report from a foreign media, they gonna need the approval of the fed gov to instill the crediting plaform. But there is a rebelling shadowy going on from other money transfer mediums (master card, interswitch visa et al) cos they know the hard competitiveness it entails bringing paypal down here.A link to the foreign media report would be appreciated. |
This should be on front page, just so people are made aware of it. I bet a lot of people will fall for this scam. |
@legalwealth, I just wanted to update you on the First bank's PayPal wallet issue. At first, First bank claimed that with its paypal wallet, all features of PayPal are enabled. But it was all a big lie. They have now updated their paypal wallet FAQ page with the following: Question: What can I do with my PayPal account? Answer: You can use your PayPal account to make or receive payments for goods and services online. Shop online at millions of merchants around the world. Use your PayPal account to receive money from friends and family living abroad (PayPal has not enabled this service for Nigeria). Receive online payments into your PayPal account from customers across the globe (PayPal has not enabled this service for Nigeria). Perform cross border transactions safely and securely anywhere at any time. Pay for things and send money without sharing your financial information. Receive payments from buyers when enabled as a Merchant (PayPal has not enabled this service for Nigeria) Checkout quickly at hundreds of your favourite online stores (not just eBay!). To be honest, I'm very disappointed in First bank. Why on earth would they claim have all paypal features, only for it to turn out to be a lie. It's clearly stated on their FAQ page that you can't receive money. I find this very misleading. |
legalwealth: I got my token activated but I was getting "System unavailable" error each time I click on the PayPal wallet section as you can see in the screenshot attached below. Thanks for the feedback. No worries, I'll definitely remind you. |
