NSEstudent: Better only physical sim than only esim. But I think the new device could be ZLT X17m (which has a white IDU). I would prefer the X17m pro, the first batch they sold with black IDU; but na free device, so anything goes. The ZLTs have good IDUs by the way. But that ZTE G5F is a more modern device.
I don dey wait for my sub to expire make I buy device they come dey change device The new one is still same as the old ZLT. The only difference is it doesn't have Esim and the IDU is white. |

Anyone0455: I paid for the odu 18th of this month up to this moment I haven’t gotten is just same story “the error can only be fixed backend “ I don’t even have the odu number or anything even the customer service can’t escalate without the odu number and device number I’m just tired at this point. From what I heard, ODUs that have hybrid sims (Esim and physical sim) were giving them serious problems, and that's why they have now introduced one that doesn't come with Esim. The new one they started issuing this week has no Esim. |

SilverG33k: Guys please i have a question
Can i take the entire starlink to Ibadan where there is no capacity issues, activate it there, browse with it for like a day, then bring it back to Lagos?
Will it have any repercussions? I don’t plan on changing the address until Lagos is back and i can now activate the starlink
I want to know if this theory would work, i can’t pay that 160k monthly for 40mbps at all The distance between both locations is far, so I am not sure anyone can tell whether it will work or not. You will have to try it and see for yourself. |

Him2025: People of God!!!! I carried the whole thing to their office oo and stayed with them till they fixed it. Airtel has serious tech stack issues.
Just got back home and it's working perfectly, getting consistent 50Mbps
The ZTE is better than the ZLT, aim for -64dBm on signal strength and there won't be speed issues. What was the issue? |

NSEstudent: That router is not 25K o. You fit google ZTE G5F price. To be honest, I don't know how they're giving out these devices out at the price they are. Though I understand the idea is to make up for the loss via subscription. And I also think, since they buy them in their thousands, they also get great discounts. |

NSEstudent: Is it true that ODU is 35K now? This man, you have been making enquiries about this ODU for more than a month now. By now you even have more information about the ODU than some people who have actually acquired it. You better buy it before they increase the price 😂 |

fuckboys: you're right that is the only explanation to it. The movie source server is bad. Also, for TVs, always use Ethernet cable to connect to the TV from the router where possible. It's more stable than Wi-Fi. But in your own case, the problem is most likely the source link. |

justinguru: Anyone know why I am seeing two subscriptions in my airtel app It seems you have 2 activate plans, 20 and 50Mbps. Are you getting up to the 50Mbps speed or around 20Mbps? On most networks, the plan with the earliest expiration date takes priority. |

Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by dustmalik(m): 1:00pm On Oct 24, 2025 |
williams85: I connected the ODU with POE, then loop the Ethernet cable to the X25 pro. It will act as a WAN. I don’t think there’s a way to power ODU without POE. This is for the latest ODU. If I understand you correctly, you connected the ODU to the IDU's POE port, then connected a LAN cable from the IDU to the X25 pro. Is that correct? |

HeavenlyBang: My router doesn't have a data usage counter unfortunately but I'm pretty sure I've used up to 1TB this month, since I've downloaded like a dozen PS4/PS5 games of recent. Fantastic. It may be truly unlimited at 50Mbps, or has a higher usage threshold before further speed cap. |

yemiwills023: Do I just visit any Airtel office? Or the office of the installers? Cause the device is with the installers. They just haven’t activated it yet Everything in this country, you have to add a little bit of madness, if not, they won't resolve it. After my first registration, I had to visit their office 3 times before they finally agreed to hand me the device. I was told they had assigned my device to an installer, but there's some kind of delay blah blah blah. I told them that I would not leave that office unless they hand me the device or refund me. They had to call the installer, who then authorized them to give me the device, he said he would log into the system and checkout the device, then come to my house to install it later on that day. To avoid issues, visit a Service centre instead of their connect stores or dealerships. The service centres are more professional and they also have daily quota they are allowed to sell, so as not to pile up devices for onward installation. |

williams85: DNS server is not available on the latest Airtel ODU. 4G/ LTE cell lock is also not available. These are the major downside of the new router. If you don't have issues with these above, I think it's a good buy. Are you saying, when you go to Device Settings > Advanced Settings, there's no 'Band Lock' there? These are basic settings Airtel usually have on their 5G devices.

Rokynwastar: Yeah, the network is fair. I have the x25 pro as well. Reason I got the ODU is because I moved to a new house and I only get 12/15Mbps max on the x25 which is a headache when streaming. Now I'm streaming matches on FHD with no buffers at all.
Getting the ODU is the best decision for anyone struggling with network reception on the x25 pro.
Funny thing is, I removed the sim card from the ODU, used it on the x25 pro and got 13Mbps max. The new ODUs, especially the latest ZTE one you have, have very good radio, antenna, and modem. |

dazzy4real: Did you just installed yours? Because i noticed yesterday it was installed and speed blazing, but today is been slow. I'm just suspecting same experience with the 5G router will repeat itself with this ODU too. The speed is not sustainable. Mine was consistent with 50+Mbps until I hit 1TB. |
