Oblongata: I am very pleased we have some mature comments on nairaland unlike many of the kids here that will talk thrash all the time just because they hate BAT.
ECOWAS cannot continue to fold their arms and allow coup plots to rule. We will end up truncating democracy and having military heads all over Africa. People think it is BAT that is initiating the sanctions not knowing it is ECOWAS that have come together to make the decision. We must save democracy in Africa And you think that the remaining 7 corrupted countries in ECOWAS whose citizens are in abject poverty with parts of it fighting for independence, will invade Niger Republic? A country that can raise 5million soldiers, You are just a nuisance. |

ivolt: Some kids have been crying that Nigeria shouldn't be involved because they want almighty Wagner to win in Niger!
Only an idiotic oil economy will allow Russia who is a competitor in the gas industry to become its neighbor without having a leverage over them. You either resist them or you become a puppet. I don't care about Nigerian army going into Niger Republic. This is a foreign war.. Nigeria will lose big time. All I'm interested is "Biafrans this is the biggest opportunity to fight for your independent from Nigeria once and for all" |

greatness77: even Libya will assist to, Wagner is operating in Libya and Mali they can easily enter and defend Niger, and if ECOWAS is defeated Niger can easily move troops into Nigeria which will assist Igbos declare independence then Nigeria will have to fight in two fronts , ECOWAS think Niger is Gambia that they removed their president, I don't even know if ECOWAS looked at map and see that Niger shared land border with Libya, Burkina Faso and Mali which are led by military, You are hundreds percent right. Should Nigeria, the puppet of UK and USA invade Niger Republic, Biafra will declare independent and Nigeria will fight on two fronts..or even multiple fronts.. |

Looks at what is happening in Nigeria.. the country is ruined... it's citizens are running away from the catastrophe these politicians has caused. Nigerians are in a civilian dictatorship. Watch Aladdin the dictator and you will understand why these civilian dictators are implementing policies that are anti people and are forcing the people to subjugation using intimidating approach..is this democracy? |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Prigozhin Celebrates Niger Coup, Says His Wagner Group Can Help by Dvdpity: 7:48am On Jul 30, 2023 |
Feintline: Many are always quick to question a military coup. Not that it is right. It is wrong. But what causes a military coup in the first place? Why dont people who operate in a democracy obey the rules? People have lost faith in democracy as we can see in niger. The citizens came out on the streets to dance and celebrate the coup. You can't blame them. People are tired of democracy not working.
There are rules in a democracy. Why do politicians never obey the rules? Why is there so much impunity, corruption, profligacy, etc.
In a democracy the only way to get to power is by standing in for a election. A party nominates you, election comes and people vote for you, votes are counted and a winner is declared. Compared that to what happened in Nigeria election. It was a political coup, a waste of tax payers fund. Buhari would have just saved us the time and funds. He would have just appointed tinubu to be president.
Until these political rascalities are done away with, events like military coups should be expected to always happen one way or the other. Nigerians are waiting for military coup.. the level of suffering in this country is terrifying. 900 naira is equal to 1 dollar..abormination, the kind of jubilation and revenge ordinary Nigerians will melt on politicians who has subjected them to pain and misery, is the type that won't be seen any where in the world. |

I wonder which country will give them a staging ground. Chad? Libya? Nigeria? Mali? Or is Nigeria planning to invade Niger Republic? |

Ndi ara The back bone of ecomog is Nigeria and Mali. Mali will never send their soldiers to die for France and USA.. Nigeria on the other hand will disintegrate once they send thousands of soldiers to Niger Republic to oust the new government. |

Which country in Africa will risk their soldiers for France and USA because of uranium? Unless Nigeria want to disintegrate..any sign of Invision by any country, nigieriens government should call up all available resources and manpower. |
