It is my area, my street (a major road linking Alakia to Iyana Church). I came out yesterday to find the roads littered with all manner of makeshift barricades, broken bottles, bonfires embers and all. I have it all on my car dashboard camera. The previous night around this very time I was hearing what has now turned out to be gunshots but I made nothing of it. The hooligan is always moving with sirens blaring in a convoy like one VIP government official. Always reminds me we live in a jungle where thugs are celebrated.

You want to sell cheap on nairaland? They will only accept when you finally agree for free. I have and my own na 30k last price. But I'm not imprisoned by having many, although I'm still suffering same as I have many other models of cheaper phones. Never again.

I'm surprised that cars on nairaland are advertised for higher than market price but phones… only those who have used their phones and are ready to throw them away can make it in phone section, unless na latest you get. I have a couple of latest in America now, few, so I escape these unwholesome cheap and troublesome arses here

WARNING!

If you're in Nigeria or the tropics in general, do not buy or use coolant. If you have too much money and excessive love for your car, go and buy distilled water and put in radiator after flushing all the coolant out. I personally use rain water and you obviously don't need too much if your cooling system is fine (not leaking).

There are mostly disadvantages living in Nigeria but this is the one place there's an advantage. Ditto the people I hear who use 0w30 oil in their engines. Omo, una don go abload before to check out what their temperatures read there? In winter ordinary water will freeze and break their engine. Trust me I've bought my own share of coolant and some still remain somewhere sef by the time I realised how silly I was and jettisoned the thing from my radiator.

Coolant is not nearly as efficient in removing heat from engines as water. It is used in temperate climates to prevent freezing.

What annoys me the more is that so many people think a car can be returned to original condition after a bodywork. NEVER, at least in Nigeria. I can spot a body that has been worked on, and to me its eeeeasyyyy

Title sums it up. These cars are used 10, 20 years abroad by human beings and imported into this jungle and somebody damages them within months. Mine only lasted 3 weeks before being rammed by a taxi driver reversing at Ogunpa Ibadan. Within days another brute says he was running from trailer and came to smash my car while waiting at petrol station exit for same trailer to pass. I find it impossible to spend money to buy a Tokunbo in this country again.
