Verizon does not keep their phones locked unless there's been fraud on the phone. Unlock is automatic after some months

Phones can develop issues, it's electronics. I have bought a new Xiaomi phone for a customer before and refused to come up the following day, the advantage that one has is that it has warranty and it was returned.

A phone you bought from me, I tested it here and was working fine, you claimed it has issues that the phone goes of at 30%, I asked you to send it back ( Reason for asking you to send it back is for me to check well and see that it has not been abused over there and provide solutions to it) you refused to send it back, you assumed it's battery, I bought battery for 8k, send it with ₦2,100, of which my gain on the phone is just 6k, I sent the battery to maintain peace and you told me after putting the new battery the same thing happens. This sign leads to a software glitch coz have experienced such with a pixel 3 before.

If you have agreed to send the phone back, if it's tested that the phone problems cannot be solved, would have given you another phone or refund your money. If not that you have another motive, why didn't you send back the phone, if you have done that we won't be having this discussion today.

If your conscience is clear, advertise item and describe any issues worth mentioning. Buyer must understand that after you give them item they are on their own. They can test item from morning to night, no problem. But after they buy it, abeg don't come and tell me anything. I sell cameras. I've seen how some people test my item they've not even paid for. I always seize my thing from them and "help them" test it. Imagine what they'll do if I'm not there. If they like all the guarantees, I love how you yourself explained warranty; they should go to shop and buy new with warranty. The things I bought from people in America that have problem they didn't tell me about, shey I will now return item to them? It's up to me to solve any issues I find in the items I bought. Nigerian people wey dishonesty is their second name. Somebody has bought lens from me from Owerri before. Whether he wanted to use for one weekend gig I no know. 2 weeks later he say lens no work well. How? He can not describe. Okay, send a video showing how it malfunctions. I still have the video if you want to see it. He didn't even attach the lens to camera to test anything. He don see mugu.

These useless bastards want everything that comes with a brand new item, but they want to pay 20% of the cost of new item. Brand new item is sold with warranty in the developed world BECAUSE they have factored the cost of the few that might develop issues in their pricing of the items. These Nigerian barbarians, if they ever pay for insurance, all of them would want something to happen so that insurance will pay them. They don't understand how anything works in modern society; they're only interested in "how only me go collect everything". That's why Nigerian society is a shambles. They've killed my business because they can always find people like you.

I have suffered in their hands because of people like you, and I used to be like that too, before I learnt hard lesson and adjust.

Hello. I bought a large number of phones in lots and when they arrived I realised many had the following locks:

Google factory data reset lock
PIN lock/pattern lock (user locks)
SIM lock
Icloud lock

These phones are mostly cheap stuff with some not even commanding 30k in the market. I've held on long enough. What can I do about them? My money is tied down in them.

Back in the day I only had to give them 500 naira or 1k at Computer Village to unlock my BlackBerry and that was what I had in mind when buying these things; I didn't know things have changed

The problem is people who want cheap don't want the compromise that should go with it.

This is available for 12k. The phone call only works on speaker phone and camera doesn't work. It's also Android 4 series so most apps can't be updated by Playstore.

Samsung S5 also available for 25k in perfect working condition but the screen edges black parts are rough due to being removed and installed. Another S5 in mint condition is 30k. All I imported from America

I don't use one phone. I bought phones to sell; dozens of phones. Many with dots and other blemishes so that the price would be slightly less. I can now see why people dodge the ones with so called dots, because of these lies. NOT ONE has had any issue resulting from the blank areas (dots). Years now, they remain how they are. If you damage it further, yes it would be damaged further, just like you can damage a brand new phone. I had a Samsung S7 Edge with 2 black spots which remained so for 2 years. Last month I fell on the concrete and the screen hit the concrete and nothing shows again -- boya black dot or no black dot. Screen is damaged just like a new screen would.

Superstition and "dem say" is preventing Nigerian mind from leaving it's prison. Let us stop all this. We can not continue to force government to pay for our universities when we still come out just as our ancestors were able to think
