Ghanaian-Nigerian actress, Yvonne Okoro, has said she prefers Nigerian men to their Ghanaian counterparts. She explained that her preference for Nigerian men isn’t just because of their generosity but also for their romantic nature. Speaking in a recent episode of the Ghanaian TV show, Showbiz 360 with her colleague Majid Michel, Okoro said her ideal man is someone who is both romantic and generous. “Nigerian men or Ghanaian men? Nigerian men are better. I didn’t say Nigerian men because of money. That’s not the only thing. Money is there but love, affection is very important. Because if they give me money and there’s no love and they’re very disrespectful, I wouldn’t want that. “I want the whole package. That’s my kind of man. I want everything.” Okoro was born in Tamale, Ghana to a Nigerian dad and Ghanaian mother. She has starred in both Nollywood and Ghollywood movies. Singer Ruger, whose real name is Michael Adebayo, attended the crossover service at his childhood church, the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) in Lagos, on Tuesday, December 31. The ‘Asiwaju’ hitmaker had missed the service for two years due to being abroad and was determined to attend this year. Ruger said that he instructed his manager to cancel any scheduled shows that might conflict with the service. During the service, he had a profound spiritual encounter and shed tears for the first time in four years. Overcome with emotion, Ruger expressed his gratitude to God, the congregation, and the church authorities for their spiritual guidance and support. “Happy New Year to everyone. I am so happy to be here today. My manager texted me and told me that I had one show tonight. I told him to cancel it, as I did not care. “I have to be in church because in 2021, I was in church here. I missed the crossover service in 2022 and 2023 because I was outside the country. I told my manager to cancel all shows before the crossover service because I would not miss it. Whatever it is, we are not taking it. “I thank God. I have not cried in about four years. Today, I saw God again, and I cried. I thank God for my life. I thank God for everyone here. I thank God for everyone who has nurtured me since I started in this church. “This is a very caring church. If this church were not great, great people would not come out of this church,” he said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0s26UL4sIio Fans were quick to attack Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, aka Ayra Starr, over her outfit for an Abuja show. The award-winning music star was disturbing Lagos and having fun with her fans before travelling to Abuja some days ago. A video of Ayra arriving at an Abuja event has surfaced on social media and gained publicity. This did not sit well with fans, who criticised her for stepping out in such an outfit, knowing she would be uncomfortable. This is not the first time Ayra has been dragged over her style; however, she seems unfazed. Read some reactions below: @chiamaka_fayvour: "I don tire to defend this girl." @scarlet_zamani: "Fr fr tho why put on a dress you ain’t comfortable in." @wazir_olatomiwa: "It’s like a deformity, but many of you won’t understand." @ijerex1: "I know a lot of people will say mind your business, but the fact still remains that she is not comfortable in that dress." @tayorcruz: "That is why I love Tems. Singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, aka Ruger, has called out Nigerian men for fawning over IJGB babes who are in the country for Detty December. It is no longer news that several people from abroad have come to Nigeria to spend the remaining part of the year and have a good time. This has led to an influx of people with foreign accents, especially in Lagos. Singer Ruger took to his Snapchat page to share his thoughts about the men going after these IJGB babes because of their accents. According to the music star, Nigerian men are losing their composure over these ladies' accents, not minding whether they are good-looking or not. Ruger went on to tell his fellow Nigerian men that these IJGB babes were pretending to be top-tier babes in Nigeria when the men in their own country do not rate them. He added that Nigerian men should be wise and not waste their money trying to impress these ladies. He wrote: Naija boys Dey lose composure once they hear IJGB girl accent whether they fine or not.

Nigerian musician, Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has stated that kindness makes one turn to a foolish person. In a post shared on his social media account on Monday, the singer stated that it took him a while to come to this conclusion. According to him, a sprinkle of wickedness is needed to thrive in the world. “Took me a while, but I can confirm now that in this life, you need a sprinkle of wickedness to thrive. Kindness go turn you to mumu,” he stated. One of his followers has however disagreed with the singer’s analogy. Remaking a beloved Nollywood classic series is no small task. It takes guts and a whole lot of creativity to reinvent iconic characters and bring fresh vibes to a story so many people hold dear. This movie definitely gave it a shot, and while it wasn't perfect, you can't say they didn't try. Before we dive into the new show, let's take a moment to reflect on how it all started. Jenifa blew up in 2008 and became an instant classic. The comedy-drama followed the hilarious and chaotic life of Jenifa, a small-town girl chasing big-city dreams with her over-the-top antics and famously funny English. It wasn't just a show; it was a vibe that had everyone quoting lines and laughing nonstop. Funke Akindele's performance was so good that it made her a household name, turning her into one of Nollywood's biggest stars. Jenifa wasn't just entertainment-it was a cultural reset that showed how humour could bring people together and tell stories we all related to. Is Everybody Loves Jenifa Worth the Hype? Find out in my latest movie review! Click the link below to read more.

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Ka3na shares a shocking experience of betrayal by a longtime staff member, attributing a theft incident to the employee’s recent marriage. In a heartfelt post on her Instagram story, the former Big Brother Naija housemate revealed that the staff had worked loyally for years without any issues. However, her story changed recently when she duped her out of a small amount of money, triggering a deep sense of betrayal. Ka3na noted that the behaviour change coincided with the staff member’s recent marriage and pregnancy. “A staff who had worked with me for years and never stole from me has recently duped me of a small amount of money. This happened shortly after she got married and is now pregnant,” Ka3na narrated. Using the incident as a cautionary tale, Ka3na advised women to be intentional about their choice of partners. “Ladies, when choosing a partner, marry someone who is a provider—someone who will uplift you, not drag you down. Relationship coach stirs a buzz online as she explains why a lot of women will get married in 2025. The relationship adviser, Evelyn took to her Instagram page to disclose this. According to her, a lot of women will be running into marriages in 2024 because of the inflation in the country. She noted that for a lot of these women, the bills would be too much for them to pay, hence they’d want to go into marriage to evade these. However, she expressed doubts about the women staying loyal when they get into the relationships. “There will be a lot of wedding in 2025; a lot of women are going to get married in 2025 because they are tired of paying bills, because the economy would be too hard for them; the inflation is affecting them. So any man that can pay their bills would be accepted immediately as their husband. The problem is will they stay loyal when they get married; will they be submissive.”

What can N33,000 accomplish for an aspiring entrepreneur in 2023? For Mirabel Orakpo, it served as the foundation to establish Honeybee Media, a social media agency tailored to support introverted entrepreneurs and time-strapped professionals.
