Man reportedly abandons his family after DNA test revealed that none of his three kids are biologically his own.

The incident was recounted by a netizen @LizQueenB who revealed that it happened to her brother.

According to her, the man secretly took items carrying the DNA of the children and took them to lab for a test.

When the results popped out, it was revealed to him that none of the child was truly his.

This incident left the man heartbroken and he left for work, never to return to the family again.

President Bola Tinubu has has turned down a bill seeking to increase the retirement age for civil servants at the National Assembly.

In a letter on Tuesday to the Senate President, Tinubu explained why he didn’t sign the bill.

GistReel reports that early I n February, the Senate rejected the bill after a long debate, but later changed course and agreed to a similar bill from the House of Representatives.

The bill is seeking to increase the retirement age to 65 years or 40 years of service, whichever comes first.
The existing law prescribes 60 years of age or 35 years of service for retirement.

Tinubu while rejecting it, commended the Senate for the “diligent work” it put in drafting and passing the bill.

Tinubu’s letter read,

“I write in respect of the harmonised retirement age for legislative officers of the national assembly of the federal republic of Nigeria bill passed by the national assembly and forwarded to me for assent,” he said.

“Upon thorough examination and carefully consultation I have decided to withhold my assent to the bill.

“This decision is made in accordance with the powers vested in me by the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.
“However, I trust that this decision would be recieved with understanding and acceptance.”

The Federal Government has demanded that recruiting organizations working in the private sector pay their employees the N70,000 minimum salary, threatening jail time for noncompliance.

Recall that the Bola Tinubu administration had implemented the new minimum wage as a way to tackle the current economic reality, stating that no Nigerian worker, whether in government or private employment, should be paid less than the minimum wage.

On Wednesday, during the 13th Annual General Meeting of the Employers Association for Private Employment Agencies of Nigeria in Lagos State, Ismaila Abubakar, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, provided clarification.

“The minimum wage is a law, and you can be jailed if you fail to implement it. The Federal Government is committed to ensuring that the least paid worker goes home with N70,000.”

“The NLC in Lagos State will see to the strict enforcement of the minimum wage. EAPEAN should avoid confrontation with the NLC on the minimum wage.”

A young lady is left in a dilemma after being faced with terms and conditions to be met before having her HND course sponsored by a man.

A social media user identified as @boosayor333 took to TikTok to share a voice note from an individual who promised to sponsor her education.

According to the man, she will have a legal agreement to have a child for him in the presence of his lawyer and also attested by the police.

“I can sponsor you if you want me to but it’s going to be 50:50. The [HND] form is still ongoing, make up your mind fast. You will get pregnant and have my child before school. We will go to the police station and you will sign an agreement with my lawyer and you must not abort the baby,” the man said in a viral audio.

“Someone promised to sponsor my HND but listed his terms and conditions,” she captioned the video.

In the comments, she added that she was neither dating the man nor were they in any form of relationship.

The better thing is to get a tablet, download whatever educational materials the child needs then lock the internet connection feature until the next download.

Does Nigeria need a policy that says kids under 16 can't do Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat? It sounds like asking for a law so your kids under 16 can't do sex.

Why not just not buy your under 16 kids a phone and data so they can't do Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat? Or do they have a job paying them a wage, in which case, they ain't really kids no more despite being under 16, and a law against child labour might be a better law to have, perhaps.

Australia's law won't stop kids inder.16 from doing Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat, I don't think, just as America's laws don't stop underage drinking and drugging and sex.

Smart parents will educate their kids so they do what's right instead.
