Faithful Ebube Ejealor, a 15-year-old boy, revealed the key to his exceptional success in the recently completed 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

At his school, Hallel College in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Faithful had held the position of head boy.

According to Vanguard, the bright young man from Umuohie-Ukwu Eziama in the Ngor-Okpala local government area of Imo state received an astounding score of 354. He received scores of 71 in English language, 95 in physics, 95 in maths, and 93 in chemistry.

A Nigerian lady was heartbroken after her employer deducted a whopping sum of N59,000 from her monthly salary.

A man identified as @egi_nupe__ on X shared the story online stating that the amount was deducted from her salary because a customer’s money reversed.

He shared his anger over the situation while insisting that her employer had no right to deduct such an amount from her salary.

In his words: “Yesterday, a lady lamented to me that her employer deducted 53k from her salary and paid her 6k for the month because a customer’s money was reversed.

“Can an employer deduct from your salary? Legally speaking, generally, no employer has any right to deduct any amount from your agreed wages except deductions permitted by law, such as taxes, pension and other statutory deductions.

“For an for an employer to legally deduct the wage of an employee for damages or harm done to his business- the following must be done: The written consent of an authorized labour officer is required. The proposed deduction must be reasonable.

“The deduction can only be made in respect of injury or loss caused to the employer by the willful misconduct or neglect of the employee. Anything outside the above is illegal.

“It is important to note that the law forbids an employer from deducting wages of an employee for damages or loss resulting from the conduct of another employee or impose a fine for damages unconnected to the action of an employee.

“Where this happens, the employee can insist on being paid or engage a lawyer for proper legal advice.”

Social media users saw a video of the Mavin Records signee being approached by a reporter in the street, asking questions about Cardi B’s Met Gala attire.

The TMZ crew revealed in the video that Cardi B’s star-studded event costume took months to produce, but when asked, she was unable to recall the designers.

The reporter went on to question Ayra Starr about whether or not if she thought that was disrespectful to the rapper’s designer.

The reporter said:

“The dress that she wore to the Met Gala took months to make and she didn’t remember the name of the designers who made the dress. A lady has narrated via her page on TikTok @bigbadteee how four Abuja big boys left her and her friend stranded at a club after ordering drinks worth 2.5 million.

She started by stating that the men whom they just met at a lounge persuaded them to come with them to a popular club.

After several pleas, they agreed to go with the gentlemen but had no idea that the men weren’t what they claimed to be.

They all vibed to the music being played at the club and ordered as many drinks as possible including the ones which required special serving methods.

However, when it was time to pay, the men vanished under the guise of a disagreement they had between themselves, leaving the lady and her friend alone.

She also mentioned that the actions of the men, caused her and her friend to stylish exit the clubhouse because they didn’t have enough money to settle the bill.

Controversial crossdresser, James Brown has called for a cease-fire between the quarreling musicians, Wizkid and Davido as he confesses he is crushing on the former.

Gistreel recalls that the two musicians kicked off their beef on Monday, 28th May when Wizkid decided to use a video of Davido as a meme.

The events that followed the single act had been a back and forth insulting remarks from one to the other.

James Brown who is fed up with the fight has come online to call for a cease-fire. He urged Wizkid to stop fighting with Davido.

He noted that he doesn’t really like Davido that much because he had blocked him some years ago and has refused to unblock him.

Urging them to stop throwing shades at each other, James Brown added that he is crushing on Wizkid.
