The lady who stated that she’s glad she won, mentioned that her ex-husband and friend are no longer together now and have gone their separate ways.

Disclosing that she’s now in a better relationship with an amazing guy, she cut all ties with her friend after 8 years of keeping it calm.

Her tweet read;

“My (ex) husband had an affair with my (former) best friend while I was fighting for my life with cancer, and their affair carried on while I was getting chemo- alone. He left before I found out…but here’s the kicker. She and I still work together. It’s been hard the last 8 years, but I’ve managed to stay professional and cool. A Nigerian man was captured on video packing his belongings out of his house abroad, while offering advice to his fellow countrymen against taking their wives abroad.

The tearful video, recorded by one of their children, depicts the man narrating the challenges in their marriage.

The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, lamented how his wife had ordered him out of their shared residence and had reportedly called social workers on him, accusing him of threatening her life.

In the video, he expressed his disappointment, recalling the sacrifices he made to send his wife abroad to study law.

He claimed to have financed her education with the proceeds from selling his own lands.

Intentional girlfriend gains injury after washing her boyfriend’s pile of dirty laundry over the weekend.

The woman had taken to her Twitter page, @nsemeke_ekpo to post a photo of her injured hand.

She revealed she suffered the wound after reacting to the detergent she used to wash the clothes.

However, she stated it was not a problem for her as she was committed to doing anything for her man.

The Minister for Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, is advising women to avoid any form of confrontations with their husbands to prevent being physically abused.

Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye made the appeal at a Conference of Commissioners of State Ministries of Women Affairs in Nigeria in Abuja on Wednesday, Februry 28.

The minister emphasized that avoiding arguments can help prevent physical harm and protect lives.

She pleaded with women to avoid troubles with men not just at home but in public places.

She said, “I am equally begging my women not to look for trouble, not even at home. Maintain peace in your home because if a home is peaceful, the woman has 80 percent to contribute to that.

“If you need peace, you can equally achieve it. Keep your mouth shut. Talking back does not yield fruit, rather it leads to death and destruction, it leads to bringing up bad children for society.

“Keep your mouth shut, it does not make you a fool but a wise person. When the man is shouting and saying all sorts of things, act like a fool and keep your mouth shut.

“After a while, watch him. If he is a good man, he will come back to apologise. If he is not a good one, ignore him. Have what you want to do in your mind, but when we show who we are and we fight back, most times, it leads to hitting; you could be injured.

“The same man that injures you will come back to say I am sorry. What will you do? Will you kill him? Even if we come out to fight for you and you lose one eye, are we going to replace the eye? So prevention is better than cure.”she said

The minister called for the signing of a law that would provide a mobile court to try gender and sexual based offences.

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Yusha’u Ahmed has banned corps members undergoing their one-year mandatory national service from sharing orientation camp activities on social media.

The NYSC DG who issued the ban on Sunday while addressing the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 corps members at the NYSC Ogun State Permanent Orientation Camp, Sagamu, said that moments captured by corps members during their three weeks of orientation exercise on camp must only be for their consumption.

Ahmed further warned the corps members against what he described as unnecessary journeys, particularly, unauthorised ones.

He urged them to take their safety more seriously.

This followed a report by SaharaReporters on how the corps members had lamented that they were being poorly fed.

SaharaReporters on Thursday reported that some of the corps members lamented the poor feeding in camp despite the Nigerian government’s increment of their feeding allowance.

The aggrieved corps members told SaharaReporters that the state coordinator and other officials allegedly forced bad meals on them, necessitating most of them to spend their money on food.

After SaharaReporters’ story, a source told the newspaper that the State Coordinator, Chinyere, collected all the corps members’ phone numbers and set up a committee of about 25 corps members to counter the report.

“You are not expected to post camp activities on social media, whatever is recorded should be for your personal consumption.

“You must also be wary of embarking on unnecessary and unauthorised journeys, take personal security seriously.”

He advised the corps members to key into the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme to be wealth creators.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) reiterated its stance on Monday, February 12, affirming the prohibition of importing, producing, distributing, selling, and consuming alcoholic drinks in small-sized sachets, PET, and glass bottles of 200ml or less. Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, the Director- General of NAFDAC, emphasized that the ban was implemented in the people's interest to safeguard lives. Despite facing opposition from distillers and labour unions over enforcing the ban on sachet alcoholic beverages announced on January 31, Adeyeye stood firm.

In response to queries regarding a potential reconsideration of the ban amidst mounting protests, Christiana Obiazikwor, the NAFDAC Public Relations Officer, confirmed to Nigerian newspaper outlet PUNCH that the ban remained unchanged. Obiazikwor clarified that while NAFDAC did not prohibit the production of alcohol in larger containers, the ban specifically targeted alcohol packaged in formats easily concealable by children.

The Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Hans Essaadi, has said that the economic situation in Nigeria has deteriorated to the extent that citizens can no longer afford to buy beer.

Essaadi said this on Monday at the company's investor call following the release of its 2023 results.

"It has been an unprecedented year for our business in Nigeria. We saw a significant decline in the mainstream lager market as a result of Nigerian consumers no longer able to afford a Goldberg after a hard day's work," Bloomberg quoted Essaadi as saying.

NB suffered an #153bn foreign exchange loss due to the devaluation of the naira for the year ended December 2023.

For the period under review, the company grew its revenue by 8.9 per cent to #599.64bn from #550.64bn. Net finance expense rose significantly by 449.7 per cent to N189.19bn, dragging the brewer to a loss of #106.31bn from a gain of N13.19bn at the end of 2022.
