Romance › Re: Why Are Women So Angry When Outsmarted by eagleeye2(op): 10:53am On Nov 17, 2012
The ladies are running away from this thread.

Let me say that this thread is not a bashing thread for ladies. It's just that as a good and gentle guy, I have come to realise that ladies I often date will want to take an undue advantage of me.
But recently I have stopped trying to be perfect in the eyes of my fellow human being.

I have resorted to serving them a taste of their own bitter pill.
Romance › Re: Why Are Women So Angry When Outsmarted by eagleeye2(op):
@Mynd, yes nobody likes it. Men will accept a lot of bulls***t from their babes, cos they don't want to be called childish or seen as over bearing.
But once you start telling the babe the truth the way it is, with actions to back it up...... then you become the devil incarnate.
She won't remember that she started it.
Romance › Why Are Women So Angry When Outsmarted by eagleeye2(op): 9:50am On Nov 17, 2012
I have to ask this question, because am your regular good and gentle boy who cannot hurt a fly.

But recently I decided to play a game of deceit on my most cherished girl friend and she is freaking out. Mind you she has been playing me for a fool for some time now, and when I served a taste of her dish..... I am suddenly a very wicked and dishonest person..... who can't keep to his words and cannot be trusted.

She was the first that broke her words and I forgave her. She was the one who has the most advantage in the relationship, yet she couldn't stand being decieved as she had been deceiving me.

I have always believed that hope is that stubborn thing inside us that insists, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that something better awaits us so long as we have the courage to keep reaching, to keep working, to keep fighting.

I love this.

Double Standards exists in the world of women.

Sagamite: The "person" was necessary because no sensible person (one with a brain and that is well-educated) will blame Fashola for a moronic animal (who a Banana republic has given a gun) shooting an unarmed person to enforce the law.

Calling you a person makes pure sense as I am not dilly-dallying. I went straight to the point.

Secondly, I know such a hurtful dent to your ego will help you in future to practice that beautiful, blissful and innovative act of "thinking before talking" because you will be HOPEFULLY more cautious and not leave yourself exposed to such bashing.

Which HOPEFULLY results in better contributions to debates and some great outputs from the collation of thoughts put forth in debates.

Basically I am helping develop Six-Sigma thinking and debating! I am a Genius.

Hence, I have been very sensible and definitely got my message across.
YOUR PAPA AND MAMA person! TO THE POWER OF INFINITY.

If a Genius is this type, I will rather be a Dullard.

Sagamite: I am debating like a sensible human being by showing the sense that I know you are not sensible.

A fooool like you should not have a right to vote. That is a crime against humanity.
A sensible human being will never start a debate with cursing out other people.
You asked what Fashola has to do with it, but you need to insert the word "person!" before getting you message/question across. Does that make sense to you?

Sagamite: You are a cretinous person!

It must be passed down as a gene.

Fcking moronic product of a failed education system that cannot defend his daft statement.

What schools failed you?

Which schools churned out this type of person that you are?
Whenever you are ready to debate like a sensible human being, without calling others name you let me know.

Untill then, all the above you have said refers to your papa n mama and your entire generation.

Tell me what has Fashola got to do with this, cretin.

freecocoa: So your argument is what exactly?
My father will not refuse to accept my bride price, if he has any reservations, he'll make them known to me, advice me and then allow me to make my decisions, he's sensible enough to know that in the end what I choose to do matters most.
In igbo land sef, when it comes to marriage, many things cannot be hidden from the family, they go extra mile to find out things about the family they intend to marry into\ from.
Don't misunderstand me. The aunt is a neighbour (though we didn't know that when we started, it was just God's way of letting me know what was happening) and she vouched for me and my family that we are good people.
But the father insisted that he will not have anything to do with us (me and her daughter) if we went on with the marriage plans. In the words of the lady, " he was going to accept the bride price even if we came".

My arguement/question is, what will you do if you were in that position?
Romance › Re: How Much Info About Your Partner, Can You Share With Your Family? by eagleeye2: 3:05pm On Nov 05, 2012
freecocoa: That is why I said you make the final call.
How do you make the final call, when they are not even ready to allow the guy to come and pay ur bride price? Abi na you go collect your own bride price and drink your own wine?

You Igbo and you should know that is part of tradition?
Romance › Re: How Much Info About Your Partner, Can You Share With Your Family? by eagleeye2: 2:46pm On Nov 05, 2012
freecocoa: I think you should tell them important things.
How many men she's been with in the past doesn't count as important to me.
Her family background, where's she's from, what religion she practices etc should be made known to family members.
My people have a saying that translates to "what an elder sees sitting down, a child will not see even if he climbs an iroko tree"
You need their advice and guidance on some issues but the final decision should be made by you.
I learnt that it pays to take advice from someone who has more experience than you do, the hard way.
so what happens after you told them, and they decide to withhold their blessing. Actually objecting to your union based on the things you have told me. Saying things like..... "ooh people from that part of town are like this or like that"

In my case it an aunt of the girl (her father's sister) and our neighbour, for me to actually know that it was my genotype that was causing the whole problem. cause we both from the same tribe.

does start still count as "what an elder sees sitting down...." because this elder has actually lied about his advice in the first place.
Romance › Re: How Much Info About Your Partner, Can You Share With Your Family? by eagleeye2:
Am at the edge of a break-up (or has already broken up). Told this girl all about me from the beginning, including genotype and past relationship history and why it didn't work.
I also asked her not to date me, if my genotype was going to be an issue with her parents/ sibblings.
She assured me that she can make up her mind on her own. Then we started dating, but the parents started opposing the relationship based on--- first my home town, then my genotype.
We both like ourselves a lot, but I don't know if it will ever work out.

Somethings are best known only to the two people involved.
RELATIONSHIP IS FOR TWO PEOPLE, BUT SOME PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO COUNT.

ednut1: abeg o we is travellin tomorw from lag o, evelyn by air is kinda trash lag to owerri 27k, from owerri to umuahi by road, if u hv any info on charter bus in lag pls hola
flying makes no sense to me. cos after landing at owerri which is the nearest airport to you camp, you will still be paying up to 1000 or more to transport yourself to umuahia then igbere where your camp is. Not to talk of the stress getting a car from airport junction to umuahia (unless you wan take airport taxi, then you budget extra 5000 or more)

you guys should regroup and go to YOUNG OR ABIA LINE. Take hummer bus. Talk to your driver as I suggested earlier and not company.

9japple: nice idea eagle eye. But note that most of them are from ilorin or ekiti, so their itinerary cannot be the same, of course cash things also determine when one leaves. Eg im from port harcourt n yet to move cos of cash, may they all take the safest n least risky mode of conveyance to camp. One love...
If they charter, it will be cheaper for them, am talking about people in lagos.
Let's say TP from lagos to umuahia is 3800 for one person. Then from umuahia to Igbere where the camp is, will not be more than 400. But if they talk to the driver (not company) he may agree to collect extra 200 from them and take them straight to the camp. The extra 200 will be going directly to the driver and not the company.
But they must first regroup and talk about it, so that they will be the only ones in the bus.
Career › Re: 40k Monthly Permanent Job Or 80k Monthly Contract Job. Which Would You Choose? by eagleeye2: 7:24am On Nov 05, 2012
Op, it depends on who you are as a person. Do you believe in planning for long term or short term?
There is actually something like a permanent job. Ministry and other govt parastatals are of a permanent nature. They don't pay much but you have peace of mind and a long term view to plan you future.
I know because I work in a state ministry. When I started the pay is peanuts compared to what my friends where earning in the private sector. Fast forward 5 years after, some of my friends have been retrenched. Some wants to join the ministries because of job security. Me, I already have a business by the side and my salary is like an additional pocket money. And the best part of it.... I work 3 times a week (mostly half days)

So Op, make your choice.
NYSC › Re: A thread for corpers posted to Abia by eagleeye2: 6:52am On Nov 05, 2012
hey guys, why not make things easier and cheaper for you.
You guys are already dropping contacts on NL. Why not re-group at ABC OR YOUNG terminal and charter a hummer bus that will take you people straight to the camp from lagos.
My 2 cents.
