PoliticsRe: Between Dave Umahi And Peter Obi. Who Is A Better Igbo President For Nigeria? by EagleNest(m):
The two are among the best out there as of today including Donald Duke if you expand it a bit.

If Nigeria wants a serious, genuine and measurable change in the way we do things then Peter Obi is the man. He can bring the "true change" we earnestly desire. They(jealous opponents) throw him a lot of stones/sticks because he's clearly ripe and independent minded. You can't push him around. One major mistake he made(in my opinion) is leaving APGA for PDP. He would have consolidated his base within the east (as they have wholeheartedly accepted APGA), and by now he would have been seeking alliances or deals to come to the center or be the beautiful bride.

Umahi is equally okay by Nigeria standard but has the potential of selling out when the north put too much pressure on him. You see what happened during RUGA era and the regrets afterwards. Regardless, for me, He is a better and stronger version of GEJ. The Caveat is that he can suddenly be hostile to his own people or interests, just to appeal to the expectations of his group or northerners. But he's astounding in physical projects delivery.

And for some on this NL, that disingenuously take exception of anybody from Igbo extraction leading Nigeria, for how long can we keep on patching, pretending and suffering. If Buhari, with all his deficiencies, could be a 2-term President of 21st century Nigeria, then anybody can lead. The leadership standard has been brought down so low to make this mistake work.

Terrible loss just for no reason. I wonder why we still have need for government if they can't solve security problem.

To God be the glory. It was a miraculous escape. And many have been wasted like this just for no reason.

Daylight scam! Daylight robbery! Buhari shouldn't have any business with governance in the future!
PoliticsRe: Nigeria To Become The Country With The Highest Jobless Rate - Bloomberg by EagleNest(m): 5:14pm On Mar 27, 2021
Buhari for 2023 grin. More inglorious records to break. Even if Buhari becomes devil himself, he will still be voted in, bc of so many stupid Nigerians.
Science/TechnologyRe: Starved Lion In Kaduna Zoo Died Two Weeks After Viral Reports ― Official (pic) by EagleNest(m): 5:00pm On Mar 25, 2021
Nigeria is like that lion, hungry, angry and disappointed. Who knows if the provisions to feed the lion was hijacked or there was nothing provided at all. Rip Lion.
PoliticsRe: Professor Peter Ogban Jailed For Announcing False Election Results For Akpabio by EagleNest(m): 4:55pm On Mar 25, 2021
A nice development. If the law can be enforced to the latter, indiscipline and corruption will reduce significantly. Serves him right.

The higher you fly, the less hate you harbour in your heart.

You begin to see humans as "tools" for production and growth, not much as colors, faiths and ethnicities.
Totally agree!
PoliticsRe: South-West Governors Are Afraid Of Buhari: Gen. Ishola Williams by EagleNest(m): 8:17am On Mar 16, 2021
Is it only the SW governors? All the governors in Nigeria are doing same including the legislators. Even some politicians too who have lost their voices all of a sudden.
CrimeRe: French Schoolgirl Admits Her Lying Caused The Beheading Of Her School Teacher by EagleNest(m): 6:48am On Mar 11, 2021
Still baffles me why in this 21st century people will go on killing spree, killing one another because of a God he or she hasn't seen. Has anyone seen God before? No! So why not show love to your neighbours and environment around you, it is more healthier and fulfilling to do so than hacking someone to death because of your belief. Can anyone create life? No! So a real God should be capable of fighting for Himself, afterall we pray for His protection, then why is God incapable of protecting Himself.
PoliticsRe: You Must Respect Fr Kuku's Opinion Fr Abiagom Warns Kanu by EagleNest(m): 6:36am On Mar 11, 2021
The Rev Father made loads of sense. There is serious wisdom in there, only if pride will allow MNk to reflect on this wise advise. A leader will always need and heed to wise counsels, otherwise it will be efforts in futility.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi, His Sainthood And The Dance Of Shame by EagleNest(m): 6:22am On Mar 11, 2021
Weak punches from Obiano camp. If you had written this when Peter Obi was fronting Obiano as his replacement 8years ago, then you would have been taken seriously. But now it is too late!!! Somehow Peter Obi's achievement in Anambra and the quality of his leadership supercedes both his predecessors and succesor. Let's see if Soludo (assuming he wins) will take the tempo of development even higher than Peter.

Rugaria:
My worry is that in a few decades, this generation would have been totally lost without contributing much to the development of their fathers homeland..., The connection between Nigerians born in the diaspora since the 70s and the homeland continues to widen.. They have become so "Americanized" and acculturated to the western lifestyle that this very set of immigrants might struggle to locate igboland on the map of Africa... Most of them don't visit home untill they are aged because of the jumpy security situation in the country.. Essentially, unlike the Chinese or the koreans, we might gain nothing from the intellectual/cultural transfers that come with their homecoming..
True talk!

PoliticsRe: The FG Restructuring Proposal 2021 ? by EagleNest(m): 11:46am On Mar 07, 2021
The restructuring in my mind is not about creatiion of states. It is about creating sub-nations in a nation. Then devolve power to those sub- nations. Let these sub-nations sort themselves out and pay loyalties to the big Nation. Let people create a system that works best for them.

He's comparing America and Nigeria, how? In what sense?

PoliticsRe: Professor Sagay Says All Nigerians Should Carry Arms by EagleNest(m): 8:26am On Mar 07, 2021
I can't believe Prof Sagay (a presidential adviser) could reason like this, unlike his previous sycophantic views. That means our redemption is near. To the BMC et al, it is not too late to begin to see the light. Nigeria is in the precipice of disintegration if truth is continually suppressed.
PoliticsRe: Kwara: Crisis Brews Over Use Of Hijab In Christian Schools by EagleNest(m): 7:58am On Mar 07, 2021
Many Nigerian governors are bereft of wisdom. That's how Aregbesola messed up schools in Osun state. Govt should not dabble into religion. It is too explosive. Things like sponsorships to pilgrimage should end. Give the religious bodies the freedom to practice their religion within the confine of the law. Let them set up and run schools by themselves with some govt subventions that would be accounted for. Take a cue from Peter Obi govt, on how to run schools.
